Went to Bella Nails 1 and asked for a simple pedicure, no polish. Had to wait 20 minutes for someone to do it, and there was no one having a pedicure. The young man who gave me my pedicure used the grater on my feet and gave me sores from scrubbing so hard. Then, I left it until the end of my pedicure to take care of the blood from the cut. Update: updated rating - later yesterday afternoon while putting away laundry the polish on one finger came clean off. I called the salon and they had me come back. Someone new took one look at my manicure, and ended up redoing the whole thing. Looks much better! They were kind and apologetic and fixed the situation. Went to the newer location by Applebees a few hours ago - I had a fantastic experience last time but not so much this time. Messy edges, color didn't start near cuticle, and there are bumps and bubbles in the actual polish. Finger bled during service and the woman who did my nails had long, jagged nails herself and dug them into the side of my fingers while doing my nails. It was overall a painful experience. Ends of my nails are rough and have been catching on fabric. Also paid $15 more than I expected (prices rose which I get, but this is NOT a $40 manicure). Got a toenail infection after my pedicure. And my gel mani (natural nails)/gel pedi cost only $5 less than a full acrylic set w/gel and a design mani/gel pedi. They force you to use the ATM instead of paying via card, which charges another $1. And my appointment felt rushed. There was a pile of used pedi towels on the table, that someone later stuffed away inside a cabinet instead of dealing with them properly. Altogether leads me to believe they severely slack on cleanliness and health/safety measures for the sake of money. Def won't be back. read more

I arrived today with an appointment made a couple of days ago only to find out the person I asked for didn't show up for work. As I was there, about four others came in for appointments made at the same time. I waited a half hour to get in, and watched as three others left. They don't have enough staff! They over booked appointments. And the most disappointing thing is to see how much the cost has gone up for a pedicure. I just got back from AZ and paid 1/2 of what I am paying here. I use to pay around $25-30 ( same as AZ) not 40 without a tip! I hope they can get more staff The place is a lot cleaner than it use to be read more

I am unsure how to even start this review, but I am very unsatisfied with the way my visit at this salon went. I don't usually spend a lot on nails (especially $75!) but today i was planning on treating myself due to an upcoming vacation. I sat down and was greeted by a woman with orange/blonde hair and an off putting attitude. I decided to brush it off and continue with the benefit of the doubt for the employee because it was slightly busy. The beginning was off to a normal start until i was asked about the length i wanted. i requested them to be cut shorter than what she had shown me and she kept asking me if i was sure which led me to just let it be, not a huge deal but one of many inconveniences. We get to the color and i show a picture (shown below from pinterest) and i was brought options of colors but only shown one, when i me ruined that i'd prefer a more orange toned yellow than extra yellow, she grabbed one and acted as if that was the only i option available, gave me no other feedback and continued without making sure. i chose to stay silent because i am not a very confrontational person, and usually i am good with accepting defeat, but i was very very dissatisfied with what i ended up getting vs what i wanted. At the very end i expected the total to be around 65 because that's the most i've ever paid for nails before (even nails with multiple diffrent colors and designs have never costed me this much before. read more

I was disappointed with my pedicure. The gentleman who did my pedicure seemed preoccupied with other co-workers and was not personable at all. I would be ok with that, but he should at least ask my preferences on nail length and shaping. He talked with the other workers ( in a foreign language) but didn't bother to ask me my preferences on nail length or shaping. My nails are shaped poorly and cut too short.... I was never asked what I prefer. I was also disappointed because he did not offer any nail art. For $55 I would expect better customer service. I am new to the Central Wisconsin area (from Scottsdale, AZ) so finding any good beauty services is slim pickings out here compared to the wide array in Arizona. This place did a fantastic job and had great customer service. You will wait a while to get in if you go at busy times which is to be expected when you have a place that actually knows what they're doing. Their prices are way more reasonable than the other salons in the area. I absolutely adore this nail spa in particular. Absolutely worth the experience work and treatment. I'm a female who likes an exotic look to my nails. They have to be sturdy and last and feel as if they're my own. I can come in with a general idea or find pictures of nail art and I'm positive it's a challenge especially because i have a preference for longer stiletto or coffin style nails and the amount of work and artistry that i receive here is beyond phenomenal. I attempted to have my nails done somewhere else and there started peeling and chipping within the same week and started painfully ripping off. I've never had that problem here. While their services are well done (pedicure, standard manicure), their time management skills are terrible. Don't go unless you have a lot of time to kill - even if you have an appointment! For example, I walked in today at noon and requested both a mani and pedi. Seeing they were noticeably busy, I was asked to return at 1:30pm for an appointment. I returned at my scheduled time, and waited . . . and waited . . . and waited. After 30 minutes, I asked how much longer it would be. They estimated another 15-30 minutes. I walked out. What good is an appointment time if they won't honor it? They don't seem to have the ability to turn away walk-ins, to the point of making those with an appointment wait. read more

My mom and I needed a last minute Dip manicure. I ended up choosing this place because I was hearing good reviews. So instantly, I was excited to try it out. For I am an addict for nails, and such. I called and scheduled an appointment that very day. I am thankful for them for having a schedule that was fitting in my time frame. Which was at 3:30pm. We get there, (mind you this is our first time here) it is relatively small. Smaller than our usual nail salon. It was quite busy. No biggie. We were welcomed and told to sit down and wait. We waited about 15 minutes. Mother and I weren't in a rush so we waited patiently. We then were seated down next to each other, so we could talk about our day. I noticed how the chairs were worn down. I suppose it was a popular spot. They then ask what I wanted, and I said dip. I showed them a picture. Matte black with rose gold chrome, and sparkly pink glitter. Unfortunately, if you do decide to get dip. They informed me that they only have clear. So that means they glue on the tip and dip your nails in clear dipping power. Then proceed with gel polish. Hmm... that's weird because right on the same counter I was at... I saw a container that had black powder in it with the same brand I have seen before for dipping. But I still proceeded anyways. So then they start filling my real nails with the drill, and then were going to clip them. I was horrified what they did next. They DID NOT pull ANY nail tools from the UV sterilizer. Which was behind the person who was doing my nails. I should of walked out, but my mom had been waiting to get her nails done for awhile, and I didn't want to make a scene. The nail technician pulls out a nail clipper from his desk, and continues to clip my nails. Everything goes fine, until I asked if they charged for matte. All they said was "mm". I then asked how much? They said "mm" again. Well okay then... Usually they inform you that they charge extra for shape, length, chrome, matte, or designs. But not a word was said. We finally finish, and the nails were so-so. It was time to pay. It came up to 125 dollars. That's fine. We paid and left a tip, then left. After two days, one of my nails broke. Then two days later another one breaks. The matte black was chipping after the second day... I am not too happy with the quality of the products they used. And I'm not happy with the dirty tools. I hope in the future they will start sterilizing tools after each use. Until then, I will not be back. read more

I decided to try Bella nails based on good reviews, but my experience was awful. I made an appointment at 7:15 to get a pedicure and acrylics done, but was seen till 8. They completely overbooked themselves and didn't have enough staff. My pedicure turned out okay, but took a long time. My nails turned out completely awful. My nails are crooked, aren't filed correctly, and they didn't listen to what I wanted. They didn't do the right color, and made the design took awful. Not only did it take 3 hours, but they ordered a pizza and a bunch of snacks, ate right where they give pedicures. So overall I don't recommend Bella nails at all unless you have a bunch of time, and want to be charged $100. read more

This place is filthy. As soon as I saw the cheese grater in the tool basket I should've walked out the door. When he tried to use it on me and I told him no he seemed surprised. I'm not confident the tools that were used on me or sterile or even clean. The technician who worked on me did not listen to what I asked for. The other technician who helped explain was very unfriendly. I do not often splurge on a Mani/pedi and this certainly was not worth the money. The hand and foot massage were painful. However the person who worked on her nicked her 3 times and she came home with a bleeding toe and cuts on her foot. Manicure was very nicely done and the technician was very pleasant. However, several pedicures later I developed Athlete's feet around my cuticle areas on all toes. Very difficult to get rid of and needed medical advice. Pedicure technicians did not understand when I asked for softer calf and foot massage or when I eventually said no massage on subsequent appts.
