The technicians were fine, but the owner gets pretty vocal if you ask a question about colors. For example: "I had a color changing gel polish that I used last time. I think it was pink/purple. Can you tell me what that was?" She spouted off about that it is not their job to give me color recommendations. She then calls her husband in to sit and try to intimidate you. I believe she had a bad experience with a customer once and now takes it out on everyone that asks a color question. NOT a good experience! read more

Superb attention to detail, high quality, polite service every single time. I never feel like they are trying to up sell me here and the location is convenient. Not the cheapest or the fastest place I have ever been, but if you want quality and a commitment to pampering, this place is it! Also, they are honest about how long the wait is. I HATE walking into a nail salon and being told "just 5 minutes" while I proceed to wait for 20. Here, they will tell you how long so you can go shop in the mall. I was in town on business and wanted a manicure. Fancy Nails was the first place I found. My manicure was $18 including tip, an average price. The shop was by far the dirtiest nail salon I've ever visited. My nails were chipping by the next day and now, four days later, they're a all chipped so badly that I need to just remove the polish. I know I got a basic manicure, but I get them frequently and they always look perfect for at least three or four days. Don't waste your money or risk getting an infection at this grimy nail salon. read more

I live in Milwaukee and I came to Wausau to visit family on 8/14/15 for the weekend. It was my birthday weekend and my sister-in-law paid for all four of us girls to get our toes done. The salon was really nice, clean, and the staff was really friendly. That morning I used a brand new razor and nicked myself shaving right below my knee. At the salon it started to bleed a little so the technician put something on it that was in a clear, reusable, plastic bottle. It stung really bad so I assumed it was disinfectant. She didn't ask, just put it on. After I left, my cut blew up twice its size, I thought I was allergic to whatever it was. Later I realized it was liquid band-aid. The next day it was red, sore, and blistered. I left it alone and then it didn't get any better so I went into the walk-in clinic here in Milwaukee and my doctor confirmed it was a staph infection! I told my sister-in-law about it and she said the technician nicked her toe and now it too is infected. I'm on antibiotic and a topical but I'm so mad that she paid so much for all four of us girls to get our nails done and we get an infection. I called the salon and the guy on the phone played dumb and kept asking to repeat myself, I got angry and just told him they need to clean their tubs and utensils better. My sister and I got our nails done in this salon and I have to say I was very impressed! They offered us drinks when we came in and actually took the time to get to know us. The girl who did both of our acrylic sets was very nice and she really took her time making sure that my nails were shaped the way I wanted them too. I really like an oval shape and she did a very nice job. I would definitely return and recommend to others, can't wait to go back. The price was about $50 which is decent. I also got my eyebrows waxed for the first time and she did a great job making them look perfect. read more

Last Saturday I went here as treat to myself for getting a new job and my birthday was in a few days.(A friend suggested I go here because she likes the job, they do on her nails) I went for a set of acrylic nails and a pedicure. The lady who did my acrylics was nice and did an o.k. job (I've seen better tho, for the same price). What I am fuming over is the lady who did my pedicure! When she was pushing and clipping away my cuticles, she clipped too far! My toe still hurts today! (It's Wednesday). She also made faces, like she was grossed out! My feet were not dirty nor did I have over-grown toe nails or some sort of deformity! Besides that she was extremely hard to communicate with! With a pedicure, I thought that they are suppose to file/exfoliate the dead skin off your feet? Well, not here! She barely exfoliated them at all! To top this all off I had to pay $45 for the worst service I've had in a LONG time! Pro nails, a few miles away does a better job and only charges $30! I will not be going here again! I never writes any reviews but I had such a bad/horrible experience that I had to share. My Mom and I went there for manicure and pedicure. My mom got a pedicure and I got a manicure. when we got home , we noticed something strange about my mom's color. Her toes were pink even though she chose a orangish nail polish. we noticed that the first layer that they put on was orange but the second layer was pink. We called them and they told us to go back so that they can fix it. When we got there , The lady who was the owner looked us very strange and with a really bad tone said, i don't understand your problem. I showed her the picture of my mom's toe nails which i took in the outside lighting ( In the outside lighting you could clearly see it) but in the inside lighting it was not so noticeable. She started screaming at us ( i think her name is Tisha) saying that she can not see what we are talking about. I started explaining to her that in outside lighting, you can clearly see that the first layer and the second layer are two different colors. She was talking/screaming to/at us in a very angry tone to the point that all her customers were looking at us & saying that we are lying to her and we just want to change the color. We never expected this treatment. we would have not come back if we knew she is going to be this rude. Anyway, me and my mom left telling her this is not the way you should treat your customers. I have never been screamed at so loud in my life. Such horrible experience. Very rude people. Don't know anything about customer service. I would never go back . I have traveled to so many states and done my nails by so many people. never been treated so poorly. read more

From out of town from a wedding, came here for a pedicure and they did a great job, more thorough than most places I've had pedicures. Now sure what the other reviewer said about it being dirty? It's super clean and they actually remove the clippers and files from sterile sealed packaging. If I lived here I would definitely come back and make it my regular spot. read more
