This salon has went down hill MAJORLY over the past two years. I stopped going to get my finger nails done because they always did a sloppy quick job and only went for pedis here and there when my other salon was too busy. The last pedi I got I was on the verge of tears. The women who did it was wayyyy to rough, she had both of my big toes bleeding. She chose my color for me because they didn't have the color I wanted, I told her I didn't like it so she AGGRESSIVELY removed it. I left with bubbly nail polish that chipped THE SAME NIGHT. Super dissatisfied and disappointed. I still payed but I will never be back. There are wayyyyy better salons in the area, especially compared to this place. Well, I saw the cracks in the facade. When I went for my first fill, my tech had a perfect mani to build off. My second fill gel fill was a disaster. She just slapped gel over her old work, failed at the coffin shape, my hombre was full of bubbles and not blended, and they're really poorly stocked. They have like one glitter, no metallic tape and no gold leaf. Also, they don't buff under your nail so you get stuck with lifting growth, which is disgusting and unsanitary. Just about the worst service I've ever received... I usually get my eyebrows threaded but there were no spots in town that did so. I bit the bullet and attempted wax for the first time in years. Not only did they surcharge me because the technician had to spend more time "shaping my eyebrows" (what the heck? Obviously, if I go to a "professional" I want my eyebrows shaped and not just cleaned up. I could clean them at home), either the wax or the lack of care left me with red, scabby skin for the last few days. Poor job and service. i was very unpleased by the face waxing service i got. i get my face waxed regularly and have never had to experience bleeding and scabbing from my skin being ripped off the lady tried to say that it was my acne that was bleeding and kept making up excuses to why this was happening but like i said i get my face waxed regularly and have never experienced my face still burning after three days and scabbing and bleeding that is still there, i am extremely disappointed and when i asked for a refund but was declined because she apparently warned me, but i never signed to this nor did the lady formally ever warn me that this was going to happen, i am very disappointed with my service and won't be returning again. read more

I visited while I was in town. Amazing customer service! I got a ton of great laughs in. Clients were even friendly and welcoming. Glass Nail Bar made sure I was happy with my results regardless if I made comments or asked questions. Had my lashes done! Fast and beautiful set. Got dipping powered nails too. Perfect thickness. I wash my hands a lot for work, and they stayed in perfect condition until I got a new set. Received a lash fill before I left and was suggested gel instead with the pandemic. I'm new to Wausau and needed a pedicure. I had an appointment. The place was packed but I was seated fast and only a short wait for the tech to start. I was told to pick a color out (I use regular polish). There regular polish was very old, ratty and gloppy. I upgraded to include a sugar scrub and callus remover. The tech was polite but I think he was new. The sugar rub and callus remover was nothing special and generally included at other salons. The tech did not run the scrub at all on my feet. Just my legs. He did not allow the callus remover to sit a few minutes. And the massage was way too short only massaging my legs. He didn't touch my feet. I tried to pick out the newest looking polish but it was old and gloppy. After sitting at the dryer table (sat there longer than the pedicure took) the polish was still not dry and I smudged the big toe testing for dryness. The man in charge said I need to sit for at least 45 minutes or wear my flip flops out (it was 30 degrees outside). I said the polish was old and I had never sat that long to dry and had problems. He said if I didn't want this problem I should use gel. A girl did fix my toe and proceeded to add thinner to the polish saying it was old. They still charged me the full amount and made jokes like nothing was wrong. I will try other places and hoping yo find better customer service. If this is the best Wausau has to offer... I'm may have to move back to Des Moines. read more

I tried to find one that looked newer. However after sitting at the dryer for over 15 minutes I just mushed the gloppy polish on my big toe. The person who did my pedi was nice enough but I think new. The massage was way too short, never rubbed feet. I upgraded and asked for Callous remover and sugar scrub. These usually are included at the other places. Nothing special for the additional cost. I'm going to keep trying other places. I hope this isn't the best Wausau has to offer. The day before my wedding is when I went in here. It was the first and only time I'll go there. I think they deserve 2.5 stars, but not 3....so they got 2. The man at the front desk was absolutely wonderful and he's the only reason they got more than one star. He was super kind, funny, and had an absolutely delightful demeanor. We got there at our appointment time and waited quite a long time to even sit down. There were about 6 of us in my wedding party. When it came time for my manicure, I told the lady I just wanted a shellac french tip manicure on my natural nails. She was an older lady and seemed to be either having a bad day or something judging by how crabby she was. She asked me how my nails looked before she finished the gel and I was kind but honest when I told her that a third of my nail wasn't even painted at the tip. It was my wedding the next day, I didn't want my nails to look like crap. I was extremely polite, but when she asked and I'd answer, she would get mad. Like what?!?!?! So finally after a few times of me explaining that my 1/3 of my nails weren't even covered across the tip, I just let her finish. Then I went to the guy at the front and explained what happened and he had a younger girl fix what she did. Overall, I just felt like a burden and had sub-par nails for my wedding which sucked. They were okay. One of my bridesmaids had fabulous nails and she asked for the same thing I did. Disappointing, I wouldn't return. read more

Filthy!! I guess I'm used to establishments following the law, which Wisconsin does have. They re-use everything, starting with the cloth they draped over the work area... had nail clippings from prior client. Nothing comes sterilized, the "Box" the tech pulled out to grab her tools was dirty, showing nail clippings etc. That alone is why I would NEVER recommend them, they should be closed down. Seriously blood and fungus will infect these tools and spread to the next MONTHS clients! Besides waiting 45 min. after my afternoon appointment, two nails came off within 13 days... again that has NEVER happened to me in decades of manicure fills. My daughter and I wanted to get our nails done before vacation. We were so excited because we heard great things. they do a thorough job, but you might need and interpreter with you. My feet started to burn and I could not get her to understand to clean them off, and I ended up with an infection where she cut me. What a fun experience this place give, yet still professional. I love how clean it is, they use air jet liners and also tools are packaged in sterilized bags. I tried out Gloss Nail Bar today while I was in town. It was pretty good. The gentleman (I didn't catch his name) who did my nails was professional and efficient and he was kind. I could tell he genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with my nails. I got the IBD gel (I thought it was sculpture gel, but it is a gel that still requires an artificial tip) which is slightly more expensive. The nails are done very well compared to some competitors in the area. I will be back as a customer in the future. I wish they had sculpture gel though, it's so hard to find in this area. read more
