I felt as if she knew exactly what my body needed. The massage starts with a deep/shiat-su type massage over a towel. This was a bit intense but I knew my body needed it and I just kept breathing through it. I later figured out this was to loosen my muscles before taking the towel down and massaging with oil. This was of course the best part as Lisa was very attentive to areas she felt where in need. She also briefly incorporated some stretches, which helped even more. All in all, this was exactly what my body needed. I'm contemplating buying a series since each massage is cheaper and they can be given to others. I highly recommend and hope they continue what they are doing.

I'm big on massages and definitely make them part of my monthly self-care practice, so I've gotten plenty of massages before, some betters than others but Michael has been the best masseuse I've ever encountered so far. Our initial interaction involved me describing and locating the general area that was in pain and he took care of the rest. Telling y'all that this man understood the assignment is an understatement. Not once did I feel like he wasn't targeting my issue. It's as though he fully felt where my pain was and knew how exactly how to not only find but dissolve each knot. Like he was reading my mind almost. At the risk of sounding dramatic, I will say I've truly never had someone understand exactly what my back needs and deliver. True heaven. On the downside, Michael is not easy to schedule. Which speaks on how skillful he is. So if you're looking for a massage therapist at Ridgehill in Yonkers , Michael's your guy. I've tried one other massage therapist from this spot and another in Wilkes-Barre, PA and they've been pretty amazing as well. So it is my impression that this chain has massage therapists that know what they're doing. Do give them a try!

I went in for a gel fill-in. I had my nails filled down to a medium length. When I arrived to this salon, I had XL brand new acrylic nails with designs on every finger. While at this salon, one of my nails had a crack so they told me I needed another new acrylic. In the process of doing my nails, the tech broke another one of my tips and I had to get a second. I got one design on both my middle fingers. The way they fill the nails here is with some kind of sculpted gel that burns your nails so harshly. My friend and I could barely sit through it because it hurt so badly. The nails that were replaced were crooked and had to be redone several times because it kept being put on crooked. It was a pain for my nail beds to be damaged by putting them off then on then off. The colors they have in the books were out of stock, so I had to change my color choice several times because they didn't have them available. At the end of my service, they said it was over a hundred dollars- for a gel FILL! When I asked for a breakdown of the price, they changed the price and opted to give me one of the tips (which the tech broke) for free. They said that they charge an obscene number for designs (I think 8 or 9 dollars) per nail- which I got two. Which even with the upcharge, it shouldn't have costed that much money. I've never seen prices that high for a few little gems. I have gotten my nails done all over the country and this is the most expensive fill I've ever received in my life. Within days of leaving, the nails that they replaced fell off in my sleep (?). I could understand if the craftsmanship reflected the price, but it did not at all. I got a simple design on two fingers. Every other nail was plain. I left with crooked nails, all different shapes, that literally started falling off my hands days later. All in all, save your money and time and go to a different salon. You will be spared the pain and stress from this salon.

Today I learned they even have AI assisted UV lamps, which is a game changer for those who want to protect the skin around their nails from harmful UV rays. What really makes this salon different is their attention to detail and genuine care for the health of your natural nails. I get SNS powder, and unlike most salons that aggressively drill it off, they only use a drill to remove the top layer, then switch to a hand file to gently remove the rest, keeping your nails strong and healthy. I've requested this at other salons, but have been told it "takes too long". Here, they use high-quality products and never skimp. Even better, Karman is patient, thoughtful, and just as invested in getting the shape and color perfect as if she were doing her own nails. I've never once felt rushed or like I was inconveniencing her for asking questions or making adjustments. Instead of dreading going to the nail salon, I now look forward to it, thank you Karman! :)

It just looks like nails with a clear layer on top I think the nails are solid but they need better colors or more accurate colors so it's not so misleading. Additional positive comparisons are that there is no surcharge to use one's credit card at Elegance Nails and one gets a "Frequent Flyer" card that entitles one to a free pedicure after paying for ten. The owner also walked around asking his clients if they were comfortable or wanted bottles of water? All things not done at Cozy Nails, so Ruby, thank you for haranging me and telling me to "find some nice new nail salon."
