She was unpleasant, unwelcoming, and unprofessional, and it was Mother's Day, at first I thought maybe she was just in a bad mood because it was Mother's Day and they were working, but then I noticed her demeanor and I'm gonna say it yes towards the black patrons. As I sat and waited for my eyelash tech, although I had an appointment and was 10 minutes early, I had to wait, as I sat there and witnessed the interactions when non-blacks who entered, compared to when blacks entered. She had a stern tone with the black patrons and a cheerful happy greeting when non-blacks entered, when a non-black person asked her a question her answers were pleasant and engaging, when blacks ask her a question in regards to the Services her reply was given with an attitude, as if they should've known the answer to the questions they were asking her. She talked at them and not to them and yes, she was so rude to one of the mothers that was sitting in the pedicure chair she asked for her manager , her reply was I am the manager .. "if that was my mom that she was talking to like that it would have been an unforgettable day for her". I let my Eyelash tech know that she was rude condescending and should not be in the role of a supervisor or manager with that type of attitude and tone towards anyone and especially Black people who make up 85% who patronize these type of services. My eyelash tech is awesome.

I showed Natalie my nail inspo, and she did a really great job bringing it to life. I can understand why some people may not like their policies, but I also think they're fair for both the salon and the customers. The salon is small, neat, and only had three staff members working on the weekday I visited, so there may be a bit of a wait. They also ask you to pay before the service, which makes the pricing clear upfront and probably helps avoid awkward situations iykyk. The vibe isn't overly sweet or super welcoming compared to some other nail salons, but they clearly know what they're doing and do it well. Personally, I didn't mind at all and actually enjoyed my experience.

$20 deposit kept because I brought my kids -- policy was never shown during booking…read more Very disappointing experience at Perus Nails today (10:30 AM appointment). I booked online and paid the $20 deposit. At no point during the online booking process did it mention a no-children policy. I also received a confirmation text message and that didn't mention the policy either. When I arrived with my kids, I was told I could not stay for my appointment because of their no-children policy. I explained that this policy was never shown during booking or in the confirmation message and asked if they could simply credit my $20 deposit toward a future appointment. The manager refused and said he "lost a customer." I pointed out that the salon was empty and that I was willing to come back another time without my kids, but he still refused to credit the deposit and eventually ignored me. I completely understand businesses having policies, but those policies should be clearly communicated during booking. Refusing to credit a deposit for a future appointment in this situation shows very poor customer service. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I won't be returning.

On top of that, the staff didn't even apologize. They acted like they were doing me a favor for a service I'm clearly paying for. Come here if you want to wait for a long time. Sadly there aren't many good nail salons in the area. I'm taking recommendations!

The overlay itself ended up being much shorter than I had anticipated, and to my dismay, several nails chipped within just three days of the service. I also found the filing process quite uncomfortable; it felt rather aggressive and almost like a burning sensation at certain points. On top of that, it seemed like my cuticles weren't properly cleaned up during the process. For $60 I expected more. Given these last two experiences, especially this most recent one, I'm feeling a bit hesitant about getting my nails done here again. I do want to say that I think your salon truly excels at pedicures - those have always been wonderful!
