I showed Natalie my nail inspo, and she did a really great job bringing it to life. I can understand why some people may not like their policies, but I also think they're fair for both the salon and the customers. The salon is small, neat, and only had three staff members working on the weekday I visited, so there may be a bit of a wait. They also ask you to pay before the service, which makes the pricing clear upfront and probably helps avoid awkward situations iykyk. The vibe isn't overly sweet or super welcoming compared to some other nail salons, but they clearly know what they're doing and do it well. 1/5 -- I will absolutely not be coming back. This was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional nail salon experiences I've had. There were three people working, yet the customer service was rude, unfriendly, and completely unwelcoming from the beginning. Also YOU MUST PAY BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING!!! I explained what I wanted for my nails, but they couldn't do them correctly. I was told I could get regular nail polish, only to find out they apparently didn't have any available. Then the one color I requested was out of stock as well. Communication was also extremely difficult. There was a clear language barrier with the person doing my nails, and when I tried to explain that I needed to communicate what I wanted, they became upset with me. Both of the other nail techs had to translate for us, so I'm not sure how I was supposed to communicate my requests without their help. I wasn't being difficult, I simply wanted to be able to explain how I wanted my own nails done. The worst part is that I ended up leaving WITHOUT ANY COLOR on my nails, and I literally had to cut and file my own nail because it still wasn't done correctly. After all of that, they still would not give me my money back. I paid for a service that I did not receive properly and left having to fix my own nail. Also took two hours, I guess it's ok for a nail salon. You can tell that the nail did not break it came off completely. Usually when I get nails they last at LEAST 3 weeks, with no lifting in any nails. I don't use my hands aggressively or harsh, I do my regular everyday tasks. I paid $120, I would normally pay $65-70 for this, sometimes even more of designs for $65-70 - Attached are pictures and also prices for the pedicures. Paid $20 deposit when booking online. You also pay your total before any service is done. Area was right off the freeway, door was closed so the place looks closed and almost abandoned. I usually come here and get my nails done, but over time I've noticed how rude and unprofessional the customer service can be. They don't even greet you when you walk in or make you feel welcomed as a paying customer. The lady who does pedicures is especially rude and very rough with your feet, which makes the whole experience uncomfortable. I personally felt that the way I was treated was racially discriminatory, and after repeatedly noticing the way they interact with customers, I will no longer be giving this business my money. On top of that, I feel like they overcharge for their services. $20 deposit kept because I brought my kids -- policy was never shown during booking Very disappointing experience at Perus Nails today (10:30 AM appointment). I booked online and paid the $20 deposit. At no point during the online booking process did it mention a no-children policy. I also received a confirmation text message and that didn't mention the policy either. When I arrived with my kids, I was told I could not stay for my appointment because of their no-children policy. I explained that this policy was never shown during booking or in the confirmation message and asked if they could simply credit my $20 deposit toward a future appointment. The manager refused and said he "lost a customer." I pointed out that the salon was empty and that I was willing to come back another time without my kids, but he still refused to credit the deposit and eventually ignored me. I completely understand businesses having policies, but those policies should be clearly communicated during booking. Refusing to credit a deposit for a future appointment in this situation shows very poor customer service. Unfortunately, because of how this was handled, I won't be returning. read more

The pedicure was $35 plus an additional $15 just for a white tip, which felt very overpriced compared to other salons where a white tip is usually much less. They also required payment before the service, which I didn't mind, but it was unexpected.The staff were not very friendly. The one positive is that the polish application itself was done well. I made an appointment Sunday night and put down the required $40 deposit, which was fine. On Tuesday, I called to confirm that they got my note on my appointment and if they are going to do my gelx and pedicure at the same time since my Thursday appointment was time sensitive. The response? They said no and hung up on me super unprofessional and disrespectful. I decided to call back and cancel the appointment, and that's when they told me I wouldn't be getting my deposit back, even though their cancellation policy is 24 hours. It was still Wednesday, and my appointment was on Thursday, so how could they claim I was a no-show? To make matters worse, the man I spoke to yelled at me and cursed me out. Very upset about the integrity of the employees as well as the service; the service that was not provided. They refused to do my nails simply because I asked for a receipt of my payment. I came in for a gel full set for my younger sisters birthday. The total for the nails was 101 and since they asked for the payment upfront I payed cash. So since I payed cash they said I was not able to get a receipt. I asked the nail technician how much was it for the black French tip (that was included in the photo I showed him) and he said it was $85. Then he told me that the total was $101.. I was a little confused. I wanted to see the breakdown since he said that the extra charge was because of the design, but there was no design- it was just a black French tip with glitter at the base of the nails. After a second nail tech approached our table, she told him to return our payment. Once he returned the payment, I asked him why he was refusing and he said because we were "Very hard to please". I then told him I'm not, I just wanted my receipt because I want to see what the rest of the up-charge was because he was not explaining that. I dropped her off and went to do laundry across the street when they proceeded to then kicked her out because I didn't PAY THE FULL AMOUNT OF $80 IN ADVANCE FOR THE FULL SET AND SERVICE BEFORE THEY DID THE NAILS. Nowhere was this mentioned on the website, yelp page ,or even on the phone call when I booked the appointment with the staff. I called the shop letting them know I was on my way to pay and they STILL CUT HER GLIED TIPS WITH NO POLISH ,NO DESIGN before I could arrive AND FOUND MY 15 YEAR OLD SISTER SITTING OUTSIDE, they then argued with me saying they didn't think I was coming back to pay and it was thier policy and that's how they operate . I STILL PAID THE FULL PRICE AFTER ALL OF THAT even though I knew we should left just so that my sister could have her birthday nails because we drove an hour out of the way for the art designs they offer and i also wanted show they can't just be racially profiling people and charging whatever they want prior to the appointment regardless of the shops past experience with theft, the nails weren't even half as memorable as the horrible experience that my sister had here. Never have I ever had to pay for my service before my nails begin. When they inquired about what I wanted for my nails, they said that it was going to cost me an additional $55. It was a total of $155 for a basic pedicure and a dip powder with my natural nails?!. The job was done poorly , they treat you like you are a potential criminal like you're going to walk out before you pay for your service.
