An amazing little treasure. The food is great here. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There is always plenty of parking there.

Placed a carryout order Monday for chicken parm and large salad with a side of spaghetti with meat sauce. The pick up process was good with the person double checking my order before paying. The salad was fresh and so was the bread. The chicken was over cooked,dry and tough, while the spaghetti noodles were so overcooked it had a mushy consistency. I was a bit disappointed. Nice place and cozy atmosphere but these are not dishes I would expect to be given out in the state they were given to me. Will think twice before ordering again. read more

The waitress was horrible tonight. Had to ask for our food. My salad which I had to ask for took 20 minutes to get. She said "Oh I thought you would like it with your pizza. I said no, I would like it before my pizza. With the order asked for anchovies for my husband, pizza came with 1 anchovies on the side. Wow. Before they put a new waitress on the floor they need to no the Menu. Starting to really dislike this place. Used to be one of my favorites. Now its on the bottom of my lists to go to. Italian is my favorite type of food so I was excited to this, near my hotel. I stopped by rather early for dinner - it was a travel day and I was starving. That meant I got to take advantage of happy hour menu and pricing. The fresh bread was a great way to start. The house wine is good as well. My waitress was friendly enough, although as a solo diner, I did feel a bit rushed. Opted for the Shrimp Scampi which was delicious. Plenty of food. Fair price. Comfortable environment. Fast service. After being ignored by at least 5 servers running around, Server Cam finally came over with bread and butter, apologized, then took our drink order. There were 6 tables with 2-4 people. not crowded and like a server for each table-except our table. Cam was nice enough and took care to keep us happy. Cam was the only highlight of this experience. I've never seen so many servers for so few diners-just coming and going-along with 2 hostesses, who I was told were new and didn't inform servers where their tables were...ok but not 1 server noticed us just sitting there? First off let me start by saying we love their food. Been coming here for years. Food tonight was no exception, delicious as always. Problem was it's 33 outside and the air conditioning was pouring down on our table as well as several others. I spoke up and they turned it up. Second issue is the restrooms were out of order and apparently had been for several hours I won't repeat where one worker said they were to go. For a local family owned Italian spot in O'Fallon you could do worse. It comes off as fancy, but you can come as you are nonetheless. The food is very good, but don't expect it to be like the hill in St. Louis. My favorite dish there is the tortellini. The servers always treat you as a local and friendly. They even have a couple separate rooms for families or small parties. Always enjoy going there. read more

First of all let me say my server was excellent! However I ordered a pizza and about 1/4 way in found wax paper on the crust under the cheese. The manager responded great and took it off our bill, they also gave me a pizza to go. Great service! But that plus the fact that we ordered fettuccine with added 4 shrimp for $9, came with three mid sized shrimp on top. Really chintzy! The calamari was over cooked and chewy. A very close immatation of Marco's Restaurant(SLIGHTLY cheaper). Overall an excellent, higher end place. Perfect for Birthday, Anniversary or a nice family dinner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the "Combination". Beef Tender Loin Medallions i& Mushrooms in a Provel cheese sauce(that I could eat on a flip flop!!!) & large, lightly fried Prawns in a lemon-White Wine sauce. Went for a dinner. The food was fine. Admittedly I went with fish and not steak or a heavier dish since I had a decent size lunch. The citrus glazed salmon was ok. It was definitely on the sweet side and did not have any heat to balance it out. I did have a side of broccoli and it was cooked well and simple with the right amount of salt and peppers Some folks did order the mahi mahi and steaks, they all seemed very happy with those meals with a special mention to the mahi mahi. Last weekend, my husband, myself and two other people went to Bella Milano for dinner. The wait staff was very attentive to all of our needs. I enjoyed when they took our order and came back with a bowl of olive oil and Parmesan cheese and Italian bread to dip in, awesome. I enjoyed a plate of spaghetti with meat sauce and meatballs. Went in solo after recommendations from a few people. I thought, incorrectly, it was a super fancy restaurant. While the ambiance is a bit nicer it is still a casual dining experience. I sat at the bar. The night I was there the beer taps were literally frozen a little disappointing but not the end of the world. The staff that greeted me were friendly. The bartender did a great job answering questions and providing some recommendations. I went with the Milano Salad and Toasted Ravioli I wasn't overly hungry. The salad was plenty filling and they have their own house dressing that is great. The toasted ravioli was good as well. Definitely going to come back and would recommend others give it shot. Outstanding local mom & pop gourmet comfort spot! The food is exceptional in quality and flavor. The cocktails are inspired. Service is attentive. "Happy hour" 3-5:30 on weekdays features an entree with sides and salad with a glass of house wine or soft drink for $20! I was also here for Martini Monday with $7 Martinis and select apps. I didn't take any pics because I went to a group function but everything we got was very good. They had ordered several appetizers: Toasted Ravioli, zucchini strips, calamari, and cheese bread. All were very good. I also got the daily soup which was a red pepper with sausage. It was a thick creamy soup with very good flavor. It would be filling on it's own! My entreé was the Chicken Milano. It is a thin rounded slice of breast meat, breaded and deep fried with a Provel (St. Louis's own unique cheese) sauce, mushrooms and green onion. I didn't realize it didn't come with a side such as pasta. That would've been nice with it. Excellent attentive wait staff for our event. Pretty interior throughout. We are here for a conference and staying across the street from this restaurant. We were greeted and seated quick. Drink order taken immediately. Dinner order taken as drinks were delivered. We had fettuccine and beef tenderloin medallions. Both good, but medallion sauce a bit rich. Bread was fresh and gumbo was delicious. I'm mainly writing this review because we sat next to an elderly couple that were extremely hard of hearing. The staff had to repeatedly ask them questions and speak quite loud. I ate lunch herewith my wife, son and mother-in-law. Before getting to the food, I will first emphasize that the service/our waitress was fantastic, and the ambiance was really great. However, the thin crust pizza was some of the worst I've ever had anywhere. The sausage was very flavorful, delicious and obviously freshly cooked, but the rest of it was terrible! Crust was like a crispy but moist, flavorless cracker, the cheese was fine but tasteless, and the sauce tasted like unseasoned tomato sauce. And, it was not cooked enough, no browning of the mozzarella, sauce still very moist and not cooked thoroughly enough. My wife's chicken Milano was fantastic! And we even had our wedding recital here in 2017! But man the pizza was terrible. Especially considering it's from a pricey, sit down, table cloth, Italian restaurant. Make sure to get a reservation online! The staff was nice and the inside was clean glad we got to sit at a booth! Our waitress was so nice. Wait time for food was very long. They mentioned a party being served before us creating the long wait. We got the calamari which was thickly cut. The flavor was not bad but with each bite the breading fell off leaving a bare unseasoned ring. We also got the spinach dip. This was by far the best thing we ordered I could have eaten a full serving of that on my own! Main course, I got the shrimp angel hair Alfredo which tasted like water! Great food in a casual elegant atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly at our reservation time. Everything on the menu looked so good, it was hard to choose. Side salads were well garnished and the house dressing quite tasty. My salmon entree was cooked to perfection, large portion, I took half of it home. My sweetheart really liked the pasta con broccoli, made with a creamy red sauce instead of typical white. Vegetarian options are extremely limited, and no vegan choices. They specially prepared meat free red sauce and pasta with a side of snow peas in seasoned olive oil instead of sautéed in butter for our vegan daughter. Our server, Abby was attentive, friendly and thoughtful. She brought extra saucer of olive oil without cheese so our daughter could also enjoy dipping yummy bread. I have been to Bella Milano quite a bit, both the Edwardsville and O'Fallon locations. I like to go to their happy hour at the bar, with discounted apps and martinis. I love their toasted ravioli, it is one of the best to me. I also enjoy their fried zucchini sticks as well as their garlic bread, calamari, and their spinach artichoke dip. On Mondays, they have Martini Mondays where martinis are $7. Aside from apps during Happy hour, I have had most of their pastas on their pasta menu, with a slight preference to red sauces, I like their red sauce. 2/18/25 My wife and I went for dinner. We were happy with the food,Beef and shrimp. The waitress was nice and cheerful and brought our drinks and food and checked on us at the right times. The problem was it was cold. There was an air vent in the ceiling that caused a cold draft enough to put a coat on between servings. This is our first time to this location. Typically the food is good and the service is great. This time the gluten free menu was tried for the first time. The gf free Alfredo was watered down. It was the reason for the 4 star. The salad were all delicious. We even ordered the artichoke spinach dip and it was amazing! So creamy and delicious. The other pasta dishes were good as usual. I went to Bella Milano for a work event recently. I was really pleased to walk into a beautiful, calm, relaxing atmosphere. Everything from the noise level to the color of the walls was exactly what I was looking for after a busy day. It's a beautiful place inside, which was unexpected because it is actually in a strip mall. I ordered one of the days specials, which was seasoned whitefish on a bed of spaghetti noodles with an Alfredo sauce. It came with a small side salad, which was very tasty. Thanks to the bacon. I would like to say the same thing for the entrée. But honestly best thing I can say about the entrée is that the room is decorated beautifully and was very relaxing. I mean, we had our own side room, which sat the eight of us and was perfect for a business meeting or a casual get together. When the food came, everybody seemed very happy with what they got and commented on the tasty selections they had chosen. I agreed that the room was tastefully decorated, and the waitress was truly amazing. She anticipated our every need and desire and met it promptly. We tipped her well. The whitefish was deep-fried, which somehow did not get mentioned when the specials were presented and explained. Listen, the plate looked beautiful. It presented well and looked delicious. And honestly, if my mom had cooked this well I probably would not have moved out as young as I did. So I'm not saying this was a bad dish. It just didn't ring my bells. I didn't care for it. And I think that's what reviews her About. Aren't they? So my apologies to the chef but this one just wasn't for me. Two hours to get food when the restaurant was half empty, kids starving, waiter couldn't remember to bring drinks, appetizers, etc. When we asked they told us it was normal to wait that long due to another party. The food when it finally did arrive was cold and rubbery. I've eaten here multiple times in the past and it was always wonderful but this time will be the last. We enjoyed the calamari, served with 2 dipping sauces and mild pepperocini rings. The Bella Milano salad is a crisp lettuce with bacon and a very light vinaigrette. My husband is a huge fan of their lasagna.... a huge serving with red meat sauce and a truckload of cheese. I tried the chicken Parmesan.... Super tender chicken breast!!! We had our company holiday party here in one of the private rooms. The room was nice, a good size for our group of 40-45. My boss played a slideshow and the audio was absolutely horrible! They need to get that fixed. I ordered a glass of wine when we sat down and it literally took an hour to get it. I had to ask our server for it four times, before he asked me what I ordered again. The other side of the table had drinks flowing the whole time, but our server was not so good. The food was great, a nice selection of meats, pasta, salad and veggies, buffet style. It would have been better with the wine I ordered, but I didn't get it until after I had already eaten. I've been here a few times before for dinner and overall, I like it. Wow, we ordered DoorDash and were so pleasantly surprised. The Cajun chicken pasta was delicious with the right spice and a heart portion. We also had the seafood ravioli and the sauce was to die for, perfectly creamy and spot on. For dessert we enjoyed a canoli and it was AMAZING! So sweet and balanced, the cream was out of this world.
