Each time I've been to Bella Mia I've had a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and top quality. The decor is nice and the service good. On the flip side, I cant help but feel like the place has not quite hit the mark as far as the ambiance. It's like they are reaching for old school Italian restaurant in the middle of a small strip mall and those two things just don't normally go together. read more

I didn't expect this place to be so nice! Very impressive dining room and very attentive staff. The waitress was funny and great! The owner is there walking around making sure everyone is enjoying their food and going around cracking jokes. The food was excellent. I had the special which was the Chilean Sea Bass in a spinach and tomato diced white wine broth (I think) it was amazing! I wish it came with a little side of pasta though. We tried a new spot lat night. From the outside it doesn't look like much. When you enter wow. Warm, welcoming. A balance of hip& classic. When we were seated it took a bit to get service. The service team more than made up for it. The manager came over without being requested. The were spot on from there. Our food was very good. Each of the four of us had a different entree. A veal dish seafood chicken & pasta. All were excellent. The chicken soup was a great flavor. Could have been a bit warmer but great taste. Nice price for a good wine. Well done lemon drop martini. Dessert( lemoncello cake & carrot cake) was a nice finish. We will be back. read more

The food here is absolutely delicious. I had the pasta primavera which was something new i thought i would try. So glad i did, it was good! Save room for dessert, lots to choose from, recommend the lemon cake! Also our server was great. She was very prompt and accomodating. All around great time. The inside has been recently redone, very nice! Would definitely recommend this place if you like Italian, they have alot to choose from. Good homemade food at a decent price. Ambiance is fancy with white table cloth. Service sucked though. Server was far too chatty and unprofessional. Forgot several of my ordered items and eavesdropped on my conversations with my friends. She also admitted to drinking before her shift which showed. I'll be back but hopefully the service improves. read more

A charming fine dining experience. 4.5/5 stars. Food: It's your classic hearty Italian restaurant. It's got all the classics and more. I ordered the bruschetta, side salad, and manicotti. There were a number of vegetarian options, which I always appreciated. I almost NEVER see a vegetarian lasagna anywhere, so I was pretty excited by that. The bread at this place is fantastic. A warm carbohydrate cloud. The bruschetta was lovely and fresh, and so was the salad. Overall the food was the Italian classics done very well. Nothing crazy or out of left field. Ambiance: Bella Mia was very warm - literally and metaphorically. It was a tad toasty in there, but nothing unbearable. The general ambiance was also so inviting! I'm from out of town but it seemed like everyone there was family. Regulars coming in for their celebrations, couples coming in for dates, friends coming together for birthdays. Also, they really make a show of giving you your meal - it was on a serving tray with a lid which the server dramatically uncovered. I was into the whole experience, it was kinda fun. Staff: everyone was incredibly kind and professional. I dined here at a weird time (4 pm) so tons of people were around to help - debatably too many, but I have mad respect for a place that can have such a large staff during this difficult hiring period. The manager was also going around talking to guests and asking how everything was. I love that kind of warmth and care! Met my son and daughter in law for dinner. When we 1st arrived we saw it was in a strip mall next to a grocery store, needless to say I was apprehensive. When we walked in I was transported to a classic Chicago downtown restaurant. I ordered the lamb chops, my son ordered the prime rib, my wife ordered the chicken parmigiana and daughter in law ordered the calamari with red sauce. For appetizers we ordered the grilled octopus, baked artichokes and stuffed mushrooms. I was very surprised at the quality and quantity of the servings. The waitress suggested the lemon cake, it was so light I thought I was eating air flavored with fresh lemon. Highly recommend this place. read more

I heard good things about this very strange place. The food was rather horrible in my opinion, all of it. Mushrooms didn't have bacon or chives, looks like they were thrown on top of a used plate and served to my table; the veal tastes like chicken liver (yuk); the shrimp scampi came out with clumps of corn starch or flour and bare naked unseasoned broccoli, the balsamic vinaigrette had black lumps not sure if it were pepper or roaches, neither of which should be in there, the extra rich double chocolate cake is served cold- All Cons!!! Pros: fill up on complimentary bread with butter (the oil and Parmesan would be a bonus if Italian seasonings were served- what type of Italian place is this) along with a bottle of red wine. Also, choose the patio, it's so pretty, there were a lot of coughing people inside. read more

Recently, we were able to enjoy a great Italian dinner. The service was excellent with a friendly atmosphere. The portions were very good. This is an upscale place with prices and quality of what you would expect. I would recommend this place. We were not hurried at all. We will be back soon. God we so really were hoping our second shot at Bella Mia would be a win, but they repeated the same poor service. We were seated promptly, waited on relatively quickly and then .........nothing. Came in here tonight, it was our first time trying this restaurant. I enjoyed the complimentary bread, with the olive oil and Parmesan cheese. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo, and it came with soup. The broccoli soup wasn't the best. They give you a good portion of noodles, and I thought the Alfredo sauce was good. My fiancé ordered the linguini with shrimp and broccoli in a garlic and olive oil sauce. He loved it. He also had the broccoli soup and said it was lacking a little flavor. The lemoncello cake is delicious. It has some type of white chocolate on the top and is very moist and has a good lemon taste. Our waitress Patti was extremely nice and attentive. I would say my only complaint would be, this place is a little overpriced in some of their dishes. read more

Went on a date night 1/13/24 with the hubby and the food wasn't that great! to start the salad was withered the soup was salt and the calamari was cold but we didn't complain till the entree came. I had the chicken picante and it was very salt , I let the waitress know and she said that they told her it was the capers but it was the butter sauce and to top it all off the spaghetti was mushy! read more

It starts with the Entrance then The Staff but wait the Food. You get this wonderful Bread, Soup, Appetizer and Main course. There aren't many restaurants that you get to interact with not only the manager, but the owner as well. It was like being transported to a family dinner. The clams are super small for the price. Not fresh for sure frozen. The server recommended the minestrone and she obviously never had good minestrone because the was close to vegetable soup out of the can. It can get a little cramped for large parties, which is how I usually roll. The minestrone soup pales in comparison to Olive Garden's minestrone. My date ordered this and the base was a watered down version. She ordered pasta Valencia had so much garlic in it that it over powered the entire dish and we love garlic I ordered the linguine Portifino which was bland and had very little flavor. It was our Christmas dinner date and we had reservations so while I parked the car my date was seated in an area of 12 tables which normally has 6. She asked to be seated at the table across from us with much more room but was refused. The manager came over to offer us a beer because he must have seen our discomfort getters bumped into by every server coming through every 60 seconds. His explanation was that it's normally not like this but they added additional seating for the holidays to keep up with the demand. One of the servers butt actually rubbed up on me twice while trying to eat but we got two free Modelo s and to accommodate us if we should choose to come back. We arranged to have a surprise wedding proposal dinner for my daughter when my future son in law asked for my help finding a restaurant for their special event. The waitstaff that helped us, Joe and Donna, were amazing and made sure that every detail was cared for. The food was great as usual and each person in our party of 20 was allowed to order what they wanted off the menu. They even allowed us to decorate for the proposal. High rec for Bella Mia's delicious Italian dishes including fish (sea Bass, exquisitely prepared). Since I don't eat red meat, no comments re beef dishes - although my friend gives high marks to the beef ribs on the presentation and taste. Waitstaff is consistently efficient in meeting needs of diners. Try one of the desserts - Lemoncello cake and tiramisu are my favorites and are large enough to share. Music entertainment some Friday evenings. Randy, owner, has a presence and makes the rounds to diners during the visit. read more
