This was nothing slight of a horrible experience. Our table was wobbly and everything slid off. It took 20 minutes for a beer. When we got the beer it was expired. When we first asked if there was specials we were told no. Then we ordered and all of sudden there is a specials menu. When we tried to order the tacos our waitress said only on tuedays but it was Tuesday. She laughed. Name tag upside down just looked crazy. When I asked about the clover pizza she looked at me like I had 6 heads. When we finally got our food and expired beer our plates were dirty. I'm conflicted on this review. I normally come for drinks but we ate today. The drinks are great and the bartenders are awesome. The soup of the day was lasagna soup which was really good. My husband had chili which he really liked. I had a chicken quesadilla which was very basic and just edible. I might try something else because I really like the place. Saw the Durbin's post on Facebook for the half price pizza Monday, so decided to try it. This was one of the worst pizzas I ever had. It taste like cardboard. It was completely tasteless. Just awful. Not edible. There was maybe a quarter cup of sauce on a large pizza, and I'm being generous saying that because it was more like a few tablespoons of sauce. This pizza made a school cafeteria pizza taste gourmet. We were so disappointed we threw it away and our dinner was ruined. Never again. read more

I ordered a small buffalo chicken pizza and it came with absolutely no sauce just chicken and cheese. The driest pizza I had in my life. When I try to call nicely and explain there's no sauce on this pizza I was giving to the general manager who was very rude defensive and spoke over me through the whole conversation. When I called Diana over because I could not get her attention at the bar, I asked if my wing order was placed. She said in a snarky tone that they aren't out. Gone to Durbins several times. I stopped sitting at the bar due to a very obnoxious, crude bartender.dont know her name but is tall thin loud and blond. Ignores customers as she gossips with coworker. I had made the mistake of bringing friends from out of town there. We sat at table and ordered food. We had to remind our server about our appetizers. Ordered soup and tasted as if going bad. Had to argue with them to get something else The same bartender would tell across the room yelling at servers,except for the one (ours) who kept stopping at bar to talk to her or a table that seemed like her friends. Used to go to another pizza place in Midlothian but they kept screwing up the order. I kept getting green peppers on my pizza when I ordered green olives. Okay, let's try Durbins. Guess what? I ordered green olives and got....green peppers! I wonder if the pizza places are all in kahoots with each other! Not only that, but it was nowhere near ready at the promised time.. Stay away from Durbin's Midlothian. The food was very good and fairly priced. BUT, I feel I was racially profiled and treated with rudeness and screamed at repeatedly because of my race by Dianna the manager on 1/6/2023. I am a retired special education teacher, I never raised my voice to the manager. My husband and I were there for dinner and when we questioned the bill about using a Groupon, Dianna said James our waiter had made a mistake when he told us we could use the Groupon. She said the waiter would have to pay for the mistake he made. We certainly did not want the young man who was very pleasant to pay for the mistake, so we paid the $50 plus bill without the Groupon. I assured the young waiter who was very upset that he was not to blame and his manager was being "bitchy." The manager Dianna overheard my conversation to James then returned to our table and told me You are a fucking bitch over and over. Then she repeated her rants about me as she worked the bar. Customers eating dinner stopped and stared at her, and a regular who knew her asked her to tone it down. She told me and my husband that we should never return to Durbins! I never raised my voice and agreed to pay the bill in full to save the young waiter. To be urged to never return to the restaurant, I can only surmise that I was not the right shade for this Durbin's manager. I hope Dianna is also the owner of Durbin's since she is rich enough to turn away good business. Well her message to people of color is heard loud and clear. I hope anyone reading this can look beyond the cheap drinks and cheap food to see the real cost of Durbins where you waive your rights as a customer and become a passenger of a train wreck. Was here yesterday waited about an hour for food, drinks and service were pretty evenly matched,horrible. Paid the bill, but noticed something was missing...they wouldn't provide the original receipt because of it being in the trash, I tried to explain several ways to two managers that I was short money. The overly aggressive security made a night out with my family very uncomfortable my dad is 63 and my mother isn't too far behind and it felt like that because we were trying to settle a dispute we might be attacked at any moment. I'm sorry to say nothing was resolved, we left because my father was worried this could escalate further again the security treated like criminals but the bill was paid and we were just trying to see the original receipt so we could explain how we were short money. We came in for a fun family night out and left feeling threatened and robbed. To say I won't be coming back isn't enough, I wish my experience could be shared so that the emotions could be felt by the masses and the frustration of being treated like lesser than the staff and other customers was beyond traumatic. read more

Had a great meal with the wife tonight. Their Friday night special was $0.50 cans of Miller Lite and 1/2 off pizza. Don't know what places serve beer at that price anymore. Great deal overall. To the owners: As a veteran business owner (and previous bartender), I can honestly say that the hardest part of running a business is managing your employees. If you are overly absent and don't walk the property on a regular basis, have regular meetings, etc, they will take over and turn it into their clubhouse for regulars and friends. From my many visits here, in my opinion, all the poor reviews regarding the service are accurate. Passive aggressively (or even deliberately?) drive away outsiders and new customers and they only have to deal with the predictable regulars. They run your business they way they are comfortable with. I'm sure the carry outs and pizza orders are crutching up the financials and it all seems good on paper --if you're not actually there to see the customer interaction (or lack thereof). With proper planning, better management and possibly a reboot, this location (with its size and multiple bar stations and patios)could so easily pull double what's coming in the door now. First of all, I am a regular here and my father is a super regular. I was at Durbins Midlothian last weekend on Saturday to spend time with my dad in the evening and my boyfriend at night for Valentine's Day. Let me start at the very beginning of this situation. At about 6-6:30 pm I was laying my head on the bar in the back bar because my stomach was hurting, mind you I only had two and a half beers and two UV blue and sprite Durbins bombs and was (by no means even close to tipsy let alone drunk!) Then fast forward to about 8-9 this man was really drunk and slurring his words and made someone I thought was my friend cry (whose also a bartender at this bar), so I asked security remove him. They came back and said "oh, that's that bartenders boyfriend, (sitting next to him) this is every Saturday." And walked away. Then I ask a second time because he's not only bothering me but the two friends with the bartender, she sticks up for him and tells the bartender behind the bar "one more drink" Then I ask a third time about an hour later and they finally say he's gone. Then a few hours go by and I'm enjoying my time with my boyfriend and we paid our bill and finished our drinks but when the bartender asked if we wanted another, we said yes. Then she proceeded to take and fill other people's drink orders. After about 3-4 minutes I ask her, so only she can hear me, "so what, our drinks don't matter?" (I was asking for my 7th or 8th angry orchard, which is 5%) She then screamed at me so the whole back bar could hear "you were sleeping on my fuckin' bar!" I yell back "no I wasn't so try again." And then a security guard just so happened to be behind me and tapped me on the back and said I had to leave. The excuse I was given was because I yelled at her, but it's okay that your staff screams at customers? I was then threatened to take my first post down right after it happened, by the owner and one of the bartenders. That looks good on their part! This isn't the first time I've been attacked by an employee here either. And the other time was way worse. Over politics and an argument I made clear I didn't want to be a part of That a bartender kept screaming at me "why don't you like trump?!" And nothing was done about it then either. That's how they work, they sweep things under the rug and don't actually look into anything. They just tell you they will. read more

Went here on the night before Thanksgiving and we were expecting a crowd The place was rather busy and since we left early I am sure the crowd grew exponentially after we left. The pizza is always really good at any Durbin's. The service was really not up to par at all. Maybe my expectations have been raised too high for bar service levels? It was very difficult to get anyone's attention for more than a few seconds let alone get someone to come over to our table and actually see if we needed anything. I understand it is a busy night and servers will be stretched thin. To me in a bar after the initial contact and serving of food and drinks, I have no expectations even though I should have. I am perfectly capable of walking up to the bar and buying a round. But to be sitting there being ignored for 30-45 minutes until we finally flagged someone down to order our pizza is unacceptable However I was able to see some friends that i have not seen in years so the trip was very worth it read more

I've been here a few different times, both for dinner and for drinks. The food is average bar food, but the portions are pretty generous! Plus, there are always different food and drink specials. And the drink specials are for mixed drinks, not just beer! The service is fine, I've never had anyone be unfriendly and the bartenders were always nice. The parking lot is pretty tiny and hard to maneuver around in, but I like that they have an indoor area as well as a porch. Durbin's in Midlo without a doubt is better than Tinley's, in my humble opinion...or IMHO for you computer savvy folks. Alot less crowded than TP and not as many meat heads roaming around. pretty decent specials, especially on Wed night for their $1.50 bottles. The food was all right, but the service was super slow especially for how many people were not there.
