After thoroughly researching this company and speaking with the owner (Petra) twice, I booked Bella Mia for a deep-clean which took place on 9/26. I hoped that they would become my regular cleaning company, and was excited to find a company that uses natural products. Long story short: my oven and stove were damaged, and I will have to continue my search for a reputable cleaning company in Austin. I was a bit concerned when I walked into my kitchen in the middle of the cleaning and saw that a foaming cleaner had been sprayed and left to sit on my stove. However, I fully trusted Petra's claim that their company uses only "all natural" products "for the safety of their customers and employees." I trusted that the foam would not damage my appliance. It seems that this was a mistake. After the cleaners left, I noticed white stains on the stainless steel handle of my oven. I contacted Petra, who assured me that they only use an "all-purpose cleaner" on stove-tops. I informed her that I plainly saw a foam sitting on my stove, and asked for the names of the products that they use on stoves and ovens. Petra argued with me, but eventually admitted that they use Easy Off Oven Cleaner "only on the the inside of ovens." She assured me that her cleaners would never use Easy Off on the outside of the oven. I asked if it was at least possible that the cleaner had accidentally sprayed the handle, causing the damage. Again, Petra, who was not present at my home at the time of the cleaning, assured me that I was wrong and that no Easy Off could have possibly been sprayed on my stove or oven handle. After insisting repeatedly that damage had been done, Petra asked to come by my house to "clean the spots that her employees had missed." Once she arrived at my house, she saw the damage to the handle and said that it was "hard to say what caused it" as she hadn't seen it before the crew had been through. Given that I have a dual oven Whirlpool, I pointed out that the lower handle is a good "before" picture. She then offered to get some stainless steel cleaner from her car. As luck would have it, I had stopped at the grocery store on the way home from work specifically to buy something to try and minimize the damage. Now, to her credit, she did use that product to attempt to remove the stains herself. However, after being unable to remove them, she suggested that I see if my range's warranty was still effective. Her suggestion was to try and get the handle replaced as a warranty item. Ultimately, no responsibility for the damage was taken. Fast forward to this evening. My fiance went to light our stove and noticed that 2 of the burner icons over the handles have been completely removed. The remaining 3 have been partially removed (see attached pictures). Fun fact: paint removal is such a common side effect of Easy Off that there are a few DIY sites that actually recommend using it specifically to remove paint. After this, I have absolutely no doubt that the foam I saw on my stove was Easy Off Oven Cleaner. So, if you are looking for a cleaning company that truly uses "all natural" products, I would not recommend Bella Mia. If you are looking for a company that takes care of your appliances, I would not recommend Bella Mia. If you are looking for a company that takes responsibility when they damage your belongings, I would not recommend Bella Mia. My only recommendation when it comes to this company is to make Petra come to your house beforehand to verify the state of your appliances in case of any damage. read more

Austin owned business that blows away the corporate cleansers!!! I have been using Petra and her team for many years now. Petra is the most down to earth person and so easy to work with. Her crew is amazing in how thoroughly they clean a place without sparing any detail. I felt like I stepped into s hotel when they were done. The little touches (folding toilet paper or making a flower out is Kleenex) were great to discover after they left. Petra is probably mid priced but delivers better service than the big companies. We left a drape that was the owners and the cleaning people took the drape and rod. It was not trash and it was not ours. Hopefully they did not throw it away. Weird and kind of an unpleasant experience with this company. We are renters and I think some confusion took place in the cost. Have not received a bill but we will see . I called Bella Mia and requested a deep clean of my duplex. The baseboards, ceiling fans, window sills and blinds had never been really cleaned and dusted in the 2 years I've lived here. With my parents coming for Easter, it was high time for a top to bottom cleaning. The team of 2 ladies showed up right at 8:00 am and finished in under 3 hours. I asked for an oven cleaning as well and it was done. My deep cleaned house looks gorgeous! I believe the price was fair for this initial cleaning. I was happy to hear their service uses natural cleaning products. My finished home does not have an overly perfumed smell of heavy duty cleaning products, which could be irritating to myself or my dog. Btw, they do charge $5 extra/hr for a pet, but my dog sheds a lot of hair. I believe that's a fair request. Overall, I'm pleased with the service and I would use again for a monthly clean up. Well I've never used maid services before, but after a friend recommended these guys I decided to try them out, and I really couldn't be more pleased with the experience. They work in a team of 2, and arrived promptly as scheduled. Their manager, Andrew, actually called me twice just to check in and make sure they had arrived, and that I was happy with my results afterward. When I arrived home from work that afternoon, the place was positively gleaming! I have lots of white surfaces in my condo, including the floors, so any "missed spots" would show up immediately. My floors now look like an ice rink -- glossy and shiny again! I'd recommend Bella Mia Maid Services to anyone, especially if they're considering trying this service for the first time. Bella was recommend by my realtor. So we decided to use them to come out and do a final clean on my house we sold. The water had been turn off already and we told them they could use our neighbors outside water faucets they proceeded to us the water out of toilets to clean. Both my wife and I repeatedly told them to use the water faucet outside for water. Once we walked the house both my wife and I had to re-clean the house.Just the thought counters and floors cleaned with toilet water. read more

He asked for my contact info so he could "speak with (me) to see how (they) can resolve this to (my) satisfaction." I hesitantly gave him my phone number, and he said he would call me same day. Guess what? Three months later, again, NO ONE CONTACTED ME. Do not waste your time with these guys. I'm sorry I did. ***** Let me start off by saying that Steve was as nice as can be in person. It wasn't until after they left that I realized there was a problem. There was some fine, paint spray on an exterior window of my 15-year-old home, so Steve's helper scraped the window with a razor blade prior to cleaning. This process left behind significant permanent scratches. I expressed concern via e-mail and received the following response from Steve via e-mail April '12: "I will stop by and check out that window today and see what is going on. I know that window was covered in paint on the outside. I could be residue so let me come by and check it out this morning before you clean anything." Steve never came by or followed up. The picture was taken the same day as Bella Mia's work; it is a picture of the freshly cleaned but damaged window. A year later, April '13, I received an invitation from Bella Mia to connect via Linked In. I reminded them via e-mail that I would not be accepting their LinkedIn invitation as I have an unresolved customer satisfaction incident with no follow-up. Did not hear back. I still have the damaged window with no apparent concern from the company that caused the damage. In case something goes wrong, it's not worth the risk or the hassle to use them. read more

I was quoted $150 for a move out cleaning. The next day I get a bill for $638. They said the house was in "very poor condition" which is a lie. We had left some food in the fridge and trash in the garage and they charged us to remove that without telling us there would be a charge. I would have made an extra trip to remove it myself if I knew they would charge me so much for it. They also showed up four hours early while we were moving out and we had to work around them moving our items into our uhaul. That would have been fine but We felt pressured to leave as soon as possible to be out of their way and would have never left trash in the garage if we didn't feel like we needed to be out of their way. read more

I hired this company to clean my 88 yr old grandma's apartment every month. The owner is so wonderful! I live in MD so arrangements had to be made long distance. She was so accommodating to my grandmother in scheduling the ladies at a time that was best for her. They always did a thorough cleaning of the kitchen and bathroom and would go the extra mile to clean out her fridge periodically. We recently found a check from Bella Mia for an item they broke during a cleaning. The check had unfortunately expired. I called them to find out if they'd be willing to honor the debt (it's for a broken item, after all). I was transferred to the owner who told me that since the check was expired, they would not reissue to compensate for the damage caused by their staff -- damage they obviously admitted to causing since they had issued the check in the first place. Yes, we should have cashed the check promptly, but they should also stand behind their service and not hide behind a financial technicality. To me, that reflects poorly on their sense of responsibility - and, to me, responsibility is a big factor in whether I am willing to allow someone to enter my home or business. They were an ok company, but this wasn't the first incident we've had with them regarding shady practices. read more

On 12/29/15 Bella Mia Maids cleaned our apartment. This was the second time I had used their service. They did not disappoint! The two ladies were prompt, courteous, efficient and professional. And they did an outstanding job cleaning the place. We were in process of moving and still had boxes and stuff not yet loaded on the truck. That didn't slow them down they just worked around us. When they left the bathrooms sparkled, the kitchen shined, the blinds and ceiling fans had all been thoroughly cleaned, baseboards and window sills wiped clean and floors cleaned and vacuumed. They helped me clean the refrigerator even though I hadn't specifically asked for that service. When the manager did our checkout walkthru he commented on how clean it was and I gave him Bella Mia Maid Service name as a resource. read more

Bella Mia Maids cleaned my roommate's and my apartment today. They did an outstanding job! We are rarely home to do dusting, vacuuming, mopping, ect, so it was so nice to come home after a long day to a clean and sparkly home. We had four dirty cups in our sink and an empty dish washer and they hand washed the cups for us, not expecting that at all.
