I tried a facial regime from Bella Medspa recently and just loved the products! The Revision black mask was fantastic. It was so smooth to apply and a little went a very long way and I didn't feel like it was drying my face the way masks sometimes can. When I rinsed it off my skin felt rejuvenated, not dry and tight! The Be Glowy moisturizer felt wonderful on my skin! The final application of Bella be primed SPF on my face felt luxuriously smooth and provided great coverage without exaggerating the pores on my skin which I often see with this type of product. It looked very natural on my 60 year old skin! This regime felt very kind and nourishing to my skin and I would highly recommend anyone to try these lovely products! read more

Recently came here for a hydrafacial. The facial itself was fine but had to endure 30 minutes of product and other services during what should have been a relaxing facial. Got pressured into buying some products. I understand spas make money from selling products but it really shouldn't consume the majority of the service. Extremely disappointing. read more

I've been going to Bella for approx 5 years. I've had lasers, peels, facials and hydrafacials. I'm currently pregnant and went last week to get a facial since I'm now limited to services. The day of my appointment, they sent out an email for a new service, a facial with Alastin Infusions and for 'everyone'. When I arrived I asked if I could switch from the regular facial and do the new procedure. I was her first client to do the new service and I absolutely LOVED IT. It's called Hydrafacial MD + Alastin Infusion. Amazing! I was glowing immediately after the service. My skin felt hydrated and looked plump. I had been feeling very dull since I wasn't able to do any of my normal procedures since my pregnancy. This was a confidence booster and I will no doubt be getting this again. I initially went in for the groupon offer of the 4 laser hair removals. Not a bad job, but will require more then the 4 offered. I did however buy an additional laser treatment to treat the small broken capillaries on my face due to rosacea. I thought she had done a decent job until I went to my dermatologist and told her what I had been doing. She was APPALLED at the lack of progress that I had received for the 600.00 I had paid. She told me to NEVER let a shop like that do that sort of work on your FACE! I'm pretty upset that I forked over 600.00 before doing my homework. Also, saw the staff change everytime I went in for an appointment. Why can't she seem to keep the same employees? Makes me wonder. The shortest wait time I experienced was 5 minutes; the most 45 minutes! When I went in, she was stepping out to get a coffee. The lack of communication was crazy. I waited since it wouldnt have been worth it to drive home and come back at a later time. Really upset me. Decent laser hair removal, but go to a REAL doc for anything else. I will not be returning ever ever again. read more

I paid $140 for the brown spot treatment. After the 1st treatment, I did not see the spot lessening and showed the owner a spot treatment on the same problem that did remove the pigment ...AFTER ONE TREATMENT. She told me that it was IPL rather than the laser we were using. I asked her if we could change over to IPL for the other 3 treatments so that the spot could be removed. She did not agree and recommended we stay with the laser, that it would reach deeper down in the skin layers. I invest two more visits and with every visit made her aware that I did not see results (the spot being removed) and wanted to move to the IPL. Finally, on the four visit, I was able to convince her to use the IPL. It worked! I saw results and asked her to provide me with 3 additional treatments with IPL so that the brown spot on my back would be removed. She agreed to ONE additional "compllimentary" treatment. This treatment also worked and has reduced the color considerable....but not totally. I responded to her feedback email about a week ago to let her know that I still believe I should be provided with two more IPL treatments and that the "complimentary treatment was actually the CORRECT treatment". Customer satisfaction does not appear to be important to her. I am very disappointed that I made her aware of my concern and she did not do the right thing to resolve my problem. I would not recommend this business. Just noted Miss Aletheas response today. Again, If the treatment was not the right one to begin with, I would expect that Alethea would have told me not to buy the service in the first place. (I did call about it before I came in). Also, I was told that the treatment I paid for was much stronger and would go much deeper to remove the spot. It did not. It turned my skin a purple black!! The two IPL treatments did create some improvement, about 40%. Not the 90 to 100 percent listed on the boomstreet advertisement for Bella's Brown Spot Removal process. I still deserve the two additional IPL treatments to remove the rest of it. read more

I bought a Groupon (might have been Living Social...) for Bella to get laser hair removal done on my legs. Because I wanted my legs done, I had to pay an additional $75 per visit-- which was clear when I bought the Groupon, and I figured was still a great deal. I have very pale hair on skin that tans easily. I'd always heard this was an issue with laser hair removal, so I immediately asked the technician if it would be a problem, showing her the very similar hair on my arms to compare. I was completely honest with my skin type, and the technician assured me that while it might take a few more ("up to 8") treatments to get the results I wanted, that it would eventually work. I proceeded with the treatments. At my next appointment, I had a new technician (with no explanation as to why-- there seems to be a lot of turnover here). I repeated my concerns to her, since I hadn't noticed any change. She, too, told me that eventually, treatment would work, and I continued on. By the fourth appointment, I was getting frustrated, but everyone kept saying they were seeing "great results" and "lots of sparking." I bought a second gift certificate from Half Off Depot to finish up the 8 sessions I anticipated needed. I used some of those on my underarms, where the hair is darker (I still couldn't go without shaving there, but I did see slightly better results than on my legs). Now, well over ten sessions later (I've legitimately lost count-- I've had at least ten, but possibly as many as fourteen), I still couldn't possibly go without shaving my legs-- if there's been any change at all, it's incredibly minuscule. I understand that when working with the human body, there are many variables. However, either the original technician didn't KNOW that the laser wouldn't work on my skin type (which is disconcerting), or the subsequent technicians didn't know/want to tell me that the laser wouldn't work on my skin. At some point before I reached six sessions, someone should have told me to stop, that I wasn't getting appropriate results. I would have gladly used the Groupon credit toward other spa services more suited to my skin type and cut my losses. That's why I have to give such a low review to Bella-- not because the procedure didn't work, but because the staff was either not knowledgable, money hungry, or flatly careless. I am able to go in for complimentary touchups, but as the laser just doesn't appear to work on my skin, there's not much point. I do plan on going back for a few touchups, especially for my underarms, since the hair there is darker and perhaps it will eventually take. I certainly won't pay for any of their services again though. read more

Their customer service was great, but there were a lot of additional charges which weren't explicitly stated on their Groupon deal. I had to pay a $50.00 service/spa fee and I had to pay for products which were "necessary" to use after my facial (VI peel). In all I ended up paying approximately $145 for a $50 Groupon. Beware of this, I was not told about the extra charges until I was standing at the register. I understand that sometimes additional charges apply, but I like to be notified of them ahead of time. Other than that I don't have any complaints, but because of the spontaneous price increase I don't think I will be going back... read more

Everyone there has been beyond nice to me and very accommodating including Alethea. Keep in mind that I always go out of my way to project positive energy in hopes of receiving it back and that may well be my secret. :) First, I have very pale non tanning skin with dark coarse hair. I also feel almost no pain. I have been there 3 times for laser hair removal and after just one treatment I noticed at least 25% of the hair was gone. Since then I have been a total of 3 times. It has been at least 3 months that I haven't even shaved. Looking right now I can actually count how many hairs are left and they are hard to see and maybe a quarter of an inch long. I am leaving them so we can see what still needs to be done. I wish I could have my whole body done!!! I have been to another place when laser hair removal was still new around 5 years ago and I had 6 treatments and 100% of that hair has grown back. it was extremely painful and It also cost me around $700!! Since my 3 laser treatments at Bella so far I even went in for a microderm facial. Two weeks before I had a microderm performed at another salon and my face wasn't even red! I couldn't even tell! At Bella, my face was really red and all my skin just fell off for the next few days. It was amazing!! I just put avocado oil on my face right after my morning shower then before I went to bed. I can't believe how fantastic my skin looks and i heard that you need to have like 3-6 done to see any results?!?! I love my results right now. I even had a groupon and I don't feel like I was treated any less. read more

I go to Bella for all my laser hair removal. Nicole is the absolute best! She carefully walks you through the process and makes sure you are "ok" during the entire session. I have had several treatments at Bella by Alethea, including a laser treatment package and separate facials. I have never been made to wait more than 3-5 minutes after walking in. The front desk staff is always very polite and caring. When you walk in, the atmosphere is more like a relaxing spa, instead of a sterile doctors office. Alethea herself is one of the most considerate business owners I have ever met, she's very knowledgeable and sensitive to your needs as a client. She has treated broken capillaries on my face, and treated my rosacea before my wedding. My skin looked gorgeous the day of, and I am so glad I made the decision to use Bella's services. I would completely trust Alethea with any service I was considering. She's always honest and fair. And of course, if you go to another (competing) business, they are going to tell you that they could have done a much better job, for less money. They are going to be biased to their own company, because they want your business (and your money). I did do my homework before trying Bella, and she was very reasonably priced. Not only did I have a couple different types of laser treatment every time, but a facial was also included. So make sure you are comparing "apples to apples" when saying other services are cheaper. read more

I bought a groupon for microderm in an attempt to save some money. It can get expensive fast! I've had microderm before and I felt like my skin was ready for it again. I met with the lady that would be doing the microderm and I felt like from the start she was trying to make me buy more services and products. She told me to see the best results that I would need to come every 3 weeks for microderm. (I have VERY sensitive skin so this sounded odd to me!) She washed my face with a Clarisonic (is that sanitary??) and put a mask on before starting the microderm. Once she took the mask off, she rubbed an alcohol wipe over my face. Ive had several facials before and I've never had anyone use rubbing alcohol on my face before. She kept recommending a product to help with sun spots and acne that you could also use for bruising. She was really pushing this product, so I finally just said okay when she said she'd leave it at the counter. If she wasn't so abrasive about me getting this product, I would have purchased it. After my first visit I decided to check Yelp for other reviews of this place. It seems like a lot of people have had experiences like mine, and some even worse. The deal I bought had me getting 2 sessions, so this past Saturday was my second appointment. The same lady did my facial. It was the same routine as last time, pushing products, pushing more Groupon services that I "needed", etc. Once she was done, she put a tinted moisturizer on my face. I don't know if that had some type of sand it in, or if some type of sand was left on my face prior to, but when I got in my car I started wiping my face off. Who wants to feel grit on their face?? The next time I get a facial, I'll stick to the people I used to go to..even if there is a good Groupon offer. It's not worth it! One thing I forgot to mention, the first time I had it done, I had my own dead skin everywhere on me. My chest, ears.. GROSS! I don't care if its mine or not. This past Saturday I made a point to cover my ear holes up so that the skin wouldn't get in there. She moved it! WTF? I'm all about tipping, especially if the service is great. The first time I tipped 20% because I felt I needed to. The second time I just acted like I was in a hurry (so I didn't have to buy products I "needed" OR tip) and left quickly. Nightmare!! Not to mention, I've had several facials by Skin Aesthetics Med Spa & Laser Center (check out my review of them - they are amaze!) and not once has anyone told me that I "needed" something for my skin. They are always willing to give you samples too, which is a bonus! read more

I came to Bella for laser hair removal on my upper lip - aka my mom-stache as my kids call it. I drove down from Gainesville eight times to lie on the table and get zapped in the face. Frankly, it felt like I was making a trip into the city once a month to get backhanded in the mouth - it's a sensitive area!- so, like nasty tasting medicine, I had high hopes it was doing some good. The facility is calm and classy and the ladies there were always kind and professional. Sadly, eight treatments in, I'd say I had maybe 30% less hair and now, two years later, it's like I never had it done at all. Very disappointing to have to go back to waxing the 'stache after all that. I know mustachios are en vogue these days...but I'd rather not have the boys in my son's Cub Scout troop asking me if I can grow a mustache like a cowboys any more. read more

I would be very wary of going here! i bought a half off depot for this place and I went in for Brazilian Laser. My skin is very light olive and the hairs are *black* and coarse. They said it would take 6-8 sessions and I would have to pay an extra $75 per visit, which I did. Every session I never noticed a difference but the technician (new one almost every time, high turnover I guess) would exclaim "Oh WOW! Great changes!" So 7 sessions later and I have about 20% less hair. I paid a total of $775 for *slightly* less hair. Something shady is going on here. My twin sister had laser done at a different place, same coloring and everything. After 7 sessions she had 70% less hair. The people here are pleasant but their laser is a scam. read more

I've visited Bella on occasions over the years and have always been really pleased with the results and service. Alethea is phenomenal and you can tell she loves what she does. And loves her customers! I've always appreciated how easy she was to communicate with -- she truly listens and wants to help you meet your goals. I've tried a few different things from this place -- microdermabrasions, peels, etc. -- and never have been unsatisfied. In fact, she's probably ruined me for other estheticians... I had another peel some months ago at a competing spa in Buckhead and it wasn't the same at all. :( The one reason I gave four instead of five stars is the cost. I happily invest in beauty and my skin, but they do run a little steep for me. I've been fortunate to capture some nice deals -- woo hoo! -- that HAVE helped their services land more comfortably in my budget, but the honest truth is that semi-regular visits here is kind of out of my reach. I went through about 8 sessions of hair removal treatments at Bella - but they were very ineffective treatments - about 2 weeks after my last treatment, the facial hair was back again almost same as before, as if no treatment was done at all! Even prior to starting my sessions at Bella, I had gone to another medspa and received about 12 sessions of treatments with them for my facial hair - even with these prior treatments, the additional sessions at Bella remained ineffective, while I had also followed all instructions that were given to me by the staff before each treatment. I truly feel like I have wasted my money. Quite honestly, I think this is a nice little scam that most medspas are running. Do not go to Bella. On top of all this, the owner has a bit of an attitude as well. read more

I've been struggling with acne this past year and have tried everything to keep it under control. I came in for a deep cleansing and considered the ouchless acne laser treatment as an added option. I don't consider their deep cleansing facial actually DEEP CLEANSING. I've had other facials for the same price that included steam and other treatments that made my skin feel brand new and I could see that my skin felt and looked super clean right afterwards. I noticed some small whiteheads remained after the facial and mentioned it to Courtney but she just recommended I applied BHA overnight, which I already do. I expected a more thorough cleansing and exfoliation for the price. I felt that I already do the same process at home with maybe better products. I expected clinical grade products as well but found Queen Helene products were used. What I did like was the laser treatment. Even for just one session I can feel my skin less oily in just two days. I plan to return for maybe two more laser sessions because I do believe that it does target the bacteria that remains even after a deep cleaning and that it helps with pore reducing benefits. This is a great place that offers great treatments with a friendly and knowleadable staff. I would consider 5 stars in the future if I see improvements. A bit pricey but hopefully worth it. read more

I just had the Pixel laser and the Aqua Gold treatment done about a week ago and my skin is glowing! I felt very pampered the entire time, and Alethea explained everything as she was doing the procedure very thoroughly. I definitely have seen a significant change in my skins texture- it's smoother- and evenness of my skin tone. Also, where did the pores on my nose go!? Good riddance to them:) I have also noticed my skin just looks firmer in general, and I am told the results will continue for a few months after this.
