With summer being right around the corner, getting my body and face ready was a must. I stumbled upon NYAH Med Spa via Groupon, I'm a sucker for a great deal. Let me tell you it did not let me down! I bought a package for unlimited laser hair removal for a year and 3 microdermabrasion facial package. The estheticians are very knowledgeable and meticulous with their craft. I had the pleasure of having Kristen as my esthetician and you can tell she is passionate about her vocation. She does a skin analysis before starting the procedure to pin point your individual needs & goes over recommendations for future treatments to reach your desired skin goals. I had a variety of laser hair removal technicians assist me throughout the year but notes are taken to make sure that your procedures are done safely and accurately. Please note that the hair removal is not completely permanent but if you continue with the sessions you don't get hair growth in between waiting periods [every 6-7 weeks]. It's less costly than waxing, so still a win for me. Per Kristen's suggestion we are advancing to micro - needling as the best course of action for my skin. Which I'm excited to see the results once done. My skin looks and feels amazing thus far. There is plenty of complementary parking, so it's always a plus in my book when you don't have to spend extra dime on that. The spa is located on the 5th floor of the building, just adding this piece of information so you don't get lost as I did the first time. Hehe. I found that booking was simple. I called in for appointments so can't comment online bookings but if you have trouble just give them a call and they can assist you with your needs. The service is speedy and Nyah Med Spa has great deals but this specific location is extremely rude when it comes to rescheduling or answering the phone. My sister came here for her laser service and I've seen her call for same day appointments with no cancellation fees need to be paid. I call and have to pay or they simply don't answer the phone. I've pais for my service in full and my phone has been blocked because I missed appointments but yet always pay the fee. Amazing service and people. Starting with my consult visit at the office on Piedmont Rd I felt right at home at Nyah. Everyone is always so professional and welcoming. I had 8 sessions for lazer hair removal for my lip, underarms and legs. Every tech was really nice but my favorite was Nakaela. She paid very good attention to detail and when I pointed out areas that needed attention she took care of it. She was great at explaining things and was just fun to chat with during my treatments. What a terrific experience! Their office is located in a very nice office park featuring multiple buildings, which surround a relaxing green space where you can get a soda or snack and enjoy the weather (when it's not too hot or cold!) after your appointment. The waiting room is very upscale and comfortable, and the friendly staff is there to answer all of your questions. Update: Jan 2019 Avoid if you can. It's been about 2 months since I've finished my 8 treatments and at least 70% of my hairs have grown back! I've decided to update my review to 1 star because this place is just not worth the money. Not only are they difficult to deal with in terms of scheduling, communication, but you don't get consistency in their services. All of their specialists have a different method of doing their treatments, which is probably why everyone is getting varying results. They rush you through each visit and don't really take the time to do the treatments. Each of my visits were less than 5 minutes! I would not recommend this place even with the discounted price from Groupon, which is where I purchased my deal. The results don't last, and they are a pain to deal with. You're much better off with a place that's more professional, even if it costs more. They expect you to spend money on touch ups because their treatments aren't actually effective. I feel like I've wasted my money with this place. Now I have to find somewhere else and spend MORE money to get lasting results. read more

Update: November 2018 Yes, the hair that I received 8 (yes,8) painful laser hair treatments has grown back entirely, as if I never had treatments at all. I told this staff this and they wanted me to buy a "touch up package." Why would I buy more treatments if the first ones didn't last. I got my first laser hair removal from Ideal Image and to this day, the hair has not grown back (its been 3 years). The staff at Nyah's is rude and at their new location they have a guy working the front desk that lacks professionalism as well. Please avoid this place. I've been coming to Nyah's for the past 2 years because I prepaid for my treatments and it's NOT worth it, at all. So the benefits of Nyah's laser hair removal: -No ingrown hairs , Yay! - 4-6 weeks of results -Reasonable prices/deals/specials Be aware: -This laser hair removal is not permanent. When corona hit and I missed 4 months of appointments I had a full beard. My hair was back like it never left. You will have to always go back for treatments. -Scheduling here is the worst in the world. I'm sure it's easier to make an appointment at the pentagon. If you miss an appointment or need to reschedule it'll be 4 weeks out every single time, minimum. This was pre corona. Post corona was even worse 8 weeks out is there new normal. -You must shave very well before every appointment or they will reschedule you. I've gotten rescheduled because of stray hairs. - You're expected to tip after every session I personally wouldn't recommend just because of the scheduling (it's that bad). But they're not terrible. The staff is professional. The place is very clean. There's free parking. I just treat Laser as a better alternative to waxing. read more

First - the good: They have free parking. Also - scheduling was rather easy. And their lobby was lovely. Now - the not so good: I found them because I bought a Groupon deal for laser hair removal which they had offered. I called to book my first appointment ... well, I tried. But, they require a consultation BEFORE you can book your first appointment. Ok, whatever. I gave the person all my info and was careful to spell my name and email for them - twice, actually. When the text link arrived, I tried to access the new patient release forms, but it couldn't "find me". Guess what - they had misspelled my name. So, I called and they got it corrected. Finally got into the new patient forms. And holy cow. Let me tell you that I have filled out less legal forms when purchasing a house than I filled out for this. I am not joking. This was RIDICULOUS. Beyond ridiculous, actually. I am a paralegal and the level of redundancy in these liability releases was completely absurd. I don't know who they had draw these up, but whomever it was laughed all the way to the bank on billable hours. The most frustrating part was - it was all for naught. When the person doing my consultation came into the room, they asked me what area I wanted to have done. I said "the back of my neck", as I have a very short hairstyle and my neck often looks scraggly. As the person was looking at the back of my neck (for what seemed like a long time) - they suddenly asked me if I had a Groupon. I thought that was an odd question - more something that the front desk would be asking me concerning payment - not the person who would be performing the procedure...? But, I told the person that yes, I had purchased a Groupon. With that, they suddenly told me the laser "wouldn't work" on my hair color. They said that the laser doesn't work on white, gray, blonde, and light brown hair. (Which I was aware of from prior laser hair treatment experiences.) I have salt & pepper hair. I pushed back a bit and said that the hair in that area is dark brown, so why would that not work with the laser? The person said the laser wouldn't work on it. It was quite obvious that everything during the consultation changed when I said I had a Groupon. If I would have said I didn't have a Groupon, I'm sure the laser suddenly would have been perfectly effective on the area I was looking to have lasered. So, if you enjoy free parking, easy scheduling, a beautiful lobby, insanely redundant liability waivers, and not being able to use the Groupon you bought because they claim the laser won't work on the dark brown hair you have (like every other laser on the planet would!)... then by all means - be sure to try NYAH Med Spa on Piedmont Rd in Atlanta. read more

I've been coming here since the beginning of this year! Great location spot and there's free parking! The staff is very nice and accommodating. Every now and then they have promotional deal in office and on Groupon. I have never had a mean or rude esthetician. Make sure you tip your esthetician, they do a really good job with the services. I come there to get laser hair removal and it last for a while. I usually go to a lady by the name of Amanda whose nice and super quick. I am never there longer than 15 minutes. The front desk clerks always schedules me for next appointment which is usually a month apart each time. They're nice folks, but the scheduling is horrible. Appointments for my 10 minute laser sessions books 4-8 weeks out and if you needed to reschedule or miss an appointment you're right back at the end of a 4-8 week wait. Had I known about their scheduling beforehand I wouldn't have bought a package. On top of that, after 7 sessions my hair growth hadn't changed at all, compared to a similar area at another clinic where I had far better results. read more

I have been coming here a little under a year and see little to no results. I have been getting laser done for more than 3+ years on various parts of my body and this location + laser has made the least impact. My biggest annoyance includes how frustrating it is to deal with the employees. God forbid you need to change your appointment because you will not be able to find anything until 3 weeks later. The overall attitude is so unfriendly that it makes me dread showing up. Also, beware of making an appointment during 5 pm because the traffic to get into their new office is ridiculous. They also do not have wifi so if you make an appointment during your lunch break, you're basically screwed. I will not be buying more packages when I finish my current pack. read more

I have never had a microneedling session done but have heard amazing things so I decided to try this place for it. I know it had decent reviews and I knew the area. I bought a Groupon for one session. The girl who looked to be about 18 ushered me in and was very nice and polite. I asked her how long the process was. She replied about 30 minutes. She asked if I was ready and I stated yes. She told me to let her know if the pressure was to much. I had read that they numb you prior to since it's straight needles to the face. Needless to say that's what she did. She put some gel on my face to help glide them but HOLY HELL I'm either a saint or the dumbest person alive. I thought the gel was the numbing cream. it definitely wasn't and for whatever reason I thought it was "normal". Never again because that girl should have known. read more

I, like many others, went here because I got the laser hair removal package on Groupon. I did several areas- Brazilian, underarms, and upper lip. On every section I have not only completed my whole package (8 sessions per), but also bought 2 more touch up packages to split between all the areas because there was still hair growing. They said this was normal and that I just needed more sessions, and I shouldn't have believed them. I took a break when covid hit for about 3 months and I'm not kidding, every single hair has grown back just as thick as it used to be. While you're getting it done it def thins the hair and I thought it was working but the longer break has revealed that this is just IPL lasers, with similar results to what you can get to the at home lasers you see advertised. Save your cash or go to a real laser hair removal place, if you want my advice. read more

I bought the Groupon for NYAH Med Spa and it was my first time getting laser done. I'm Indian and have medium-dark brown skin and thick, dark hair, and the YAG laser worked really well for me. However, NYAH is not the place to go if you want more personal and knowledgeable service, which is why I gave them 2 stars. They kept changing up what the exact area of treatment was, and they missed the area that I needed 2 out of 4 times (one time my technician insisted that she got the area when she didn't). Scheduling also has to be done at least 4-6 weeks in advance which was a pain. The phone is almost never answered and forget about getting your call returned! Additionally, I'm moving from Atlanta and won't be using my 4 remaining treatments, and so multiple people at NYAH told me that I could choose another area. I was calling them regularly from May 10 to June 8th, and I was told that the manager would get back to me but I could choose another area to do once. When I arrived for my final appointment, the receptionist told me that they didn't do that (after I had been calling for a month without a returned call!). I'm glad I started get laser hair removal done because it worked well for me (when they actually did the areas I needed). I want to continue at a more professional and attentive place when I move, and for me, that's worth the extra money. However, NYAH Med Spa was a cheap option and I'm glad I started here to ascertain that laser hair removal worked for me. read more

The laser here is the truth! I have had a lot of laser at a lot of med spas (seriously, you can check my Yelp review resume). I needed some areas re-done since the last place I went to in NYC gave me no results. I saw the groupon for this spa and after doing some homework on the reviews, I thought why not? You get a legitimate consultation first, not like those places that ask 2 general questions and treat you the same day. I came in, went through a thorough history of my prior treatments and they performed a test zap with their laser; after which you go home and see if any adverse reaction occurs. I had my 1st treatment a week or so after this consult and that laser is INTENSE! It felt like the OG lasers that I used to get back when laser hair removal 1st started (you know, the ones that are actually effective instead of just a flashlight). The hair immediately started to 'pepper' and fall out the same night. I have not seen regrowth since and my next appt was booked for 4 week later. I am confident that after my full treatments are complete I will never need to redo the areas again! read more

Not gonna lie was skeptical at first but after doing all my sessions I am very satisfied. I have also recommended all my friends to give it a try, I haven't had one ingrown or bump since I started the treatments:Well worth the money ESPECIALLY if you wax!!!! I am multi-race so my hair was dark and thick; I used to shave everyday now I shave once a month maybe less. &&&Although I still get hair, the hair is thinner and 90% gone. This place is for real, and I am getting great results at a fraction of the cost that other places like Ideal Image offer it. I have heard Ideal Image quotes in the thousands for legs laser treatment. This place - around 500$, which is way cheaper than a year of waxing. Of course results vary from person to person and area being treated, but so far I have had really good results from 5-6 sessions ( you can see results even after 2 sessions). The staff is very friendly and helpful, the girls working there are very sweet actually. They do not have medical degrees, and are not nurses, but honestly they don't need to be. The lasers they have are so modern and good, the technician's role seems minimal in adjusting the laser. They schedule treatments for the body no less that 6 weeks apart - which is very conservative and I like that ! I had this conception that the laser treatment will be so expensive ( was expecting thousands of $) and that it is excruciating pain - none of that here. The pain is so bearable - way less painful and much much faster than waxing IMO, and the results are better than what I expected. I started with a groupon and ended up buying more - glad I tried it ! Give it a try , they will refund you if you are not eligible or have a reaction to the laser machine. Try their 'half body' special bundles - they are usually more economic if you want to do a lot of areas, rather than getting the areas one by one. Right now they had one for 599$. Also they are very busy, so appointments are not very flexible, try not to cancel your appointment close to the date or it will be very hard to get another one rescheduled. read more

It's safe and the technicians are knowledgable, but scheduling is a nightmare. I usually have to schedule ~6 weeks in advance and can't book online due to wanting to have multiple areas together. Their site is not configured properly to allow for this. They aren't particularly responsive via email either. Edit 1/11: The owner, Sharon just called me. This place was so awesome! Nicole was able to book my appointment the same day and was very sweet over the phone. There is free parking and I got a little lost trying to find the entrance to the building, but it was easy to navigate once in. Nicole checked me in and I was seen in less than 5 minutes. The staffs here are amazing guys!! They just move to a new location in buckhead on Piedmont so everything is new and clean. What I like about this place also is that they have specials on laser hair removal on certain times of the year, which can really help if your on a budget. Aside from laser hair removal, they also have other services as well, like the chemical peel and the microdermabrasion treatment. Make sure you keep up with your appointments, because they do charge you like a $25 fee for not showing up. Overall, my experience with them has been really good. ... just make sure you tell them if you feel like the process of lasering was fast because my first few treatments were like that. I have completed my 8th session. If you are looking for a personal experience, this is NOT the place for you. They rush you through and they are not thorough with the places you are getting treatments on. There were times I would express places being missed and it continued to be an issue. I was excited to be hairless and they said after the 8th treatment I shouldn't have hair growing back. Well, sadly That is not the case... My hair is still growing back in all of my treatment areas. They tried to up-sale me on a touch up package which i would not expect right after 8 treatments/ which was a year of treatments. I was expecting that down the line i would need touch up's not weeks after my 8th visit. The Groupon is not worth it... Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

I looked into laser hair removal after a friend got her bikini area done (another city, another spa). I really love the results. Really. I started seeing a difference in hair growth after just a couple of treatments to my bikini line... so much so I added full leg, under arms and face. Friends have asked about the pain. I purchased two large area laser removal sessions from Groupon back in November.. The pros: The spa is beautiful, clean, and new. Staff is nice and they make it easy to schedule appointments. The cons: I've been coming here religiously since November for my sessions and have not seen any difference. Each time I've gone I felt like the voltage(?) was different- sometimes I'd be in pain, sometimes I'd feel nothing. My growth would be slightly lighter one week after the session, and then back to normal. By now, I was informed that my hair growth should be minimal and I should have seen big changes.. After so many sessions with no noticeable changes, I've decided to stop coming back and will look for a professional to do my laser.. I'd recommend avoiding the enticing Groupon deal if it's not too late. read more
