I came in hoping to wake up with awesome fluffy lashes but left feeling very dissatisfied. It was my first time visiting Bella Lashes. I've read plenty of awesome reviews and saw tons of great photos, so I decided to take the plunge and try them out. I booked an appointment online and ended up getting Neelam as my artist. Prior to this, I thought it might be the owner, Lena who went by a different name since there was no option to book with any "Lena" on their website and all the reviews I read, I saw Lena as the person. I ran a bit late to my appointment coming from Seattle and hitting all the traffic/construction possible but I'm was very grateful they still offered to see me. The whole time Neelam was doing my lashes, I stayed awake because she was not gentle. She didn't hurt me or anything but it felt like she was still learning and practicing since I can feel her prying my lashes apart and gluing on the extensions. Her movements seemed like she was struggling. There was a time that she poked my skin. I didn't say anything because I wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but I've had lashes done by others before and definitely fell asleep. I also thought it was odd she did not ask me what style I was going for or even greet me when I came in the room, just asked me to hop on the bed. When she was finished, she did not offer a mirror or anything for me to look at the lashes. I got up and looked in the mirror on the wall beside her. I was pretty surprised that I paid for a "full set" but it looked like my lashes had been filled very partial, I could see my real lashes on both ends still sticking out. I even asked her "is this a full set?" to which she replied yes. After that, she didn't offer me a lash brush (I've been to a few places and they've always offered a brush) and a care card. I met Lena after the appointment as she was the one who checked me out, and that is how I found out she was the owner (she also came out to greet her other guest and introduced herself). I came home and inspected my lashes more closely and saw that they are placed very slanted on my eye and even after I brushed them, they still stayed that way. They are also very uneven. (see photos) Overall, my experience was less than pleasant and I wish I knew that I was not booking with the owner and had an option to. I don't like writing negative reviews but lash extensions are not cheap and I felt like I did not get my money's worth. =( read more

Just returned for a fill after going there for my first ever experience with eyelash extensions. I've been wearing strip lashes for quite a while and was looking for a natural looking set of lashes. I've had Neelam twice now. I'm over the moon. Number one, I absolutely love my lashes. I absolutely love makeup. I've spent, no joke, thousands of dollars on makeup this year alone. But I honestly have stopped reaching for most of it. I'm just so happy with how I look when I wake up now. AND I get to sleep in an extra half hour! Number two, Neelam, who has done my lashes both times, is wonderful. Not only is she a total sweetheart, but she's incredibly thorough. Went to get my eyelashes done for a one week fill. She removed 75% of my eyelashes without asking, didn't fill them back in, and charged me full price. I thought I'd offer them a second chance. I'm sitting in the lobby last my appointment time, no one has even come out to check, I've been here 20 minutes. Totally unprofessional. *Update: Lina, who turns out to be the owner, fixed my lashes a little more so I didn't have the only 3 eyelashes look, free of charge. That's the right thing to do. So I'm editing my review from one star to two. She still didn't apologize for the other employee not explaining or asking to remove my lashes though. read more

For some reason, Yelp has the location pin set on the wrong spot. To clear up any confusion, the spa is near the library and has a subdued entrance right after NE 11th. I first contacted Chanikarn over Yelp and she was great about answering all questions about pricing. I made an appointment within the week, on a weekday after work. The appointment was actually for a fill but since it had been over a month from my last set, she took the time to pull off the remaining and replace them. The original set was 10's, 11 on the ends with C curl.. All too dramatic for my liking. I opted for a more natural appearance with this set. She took meticulous care to set up eye pads, gauze, oscillating fan, and examination lighting. A quick hour and half later, the final result were lashes that were very light, full but natural. I know I'm not supposed to get them wet the first 24 hours but I took a shower 11 hours later and they held on fine (no sideways action). Seattle prices for lashes can be really inflated but this was on par with LA which made me happy. The years of practice on her nimble asian hands showed in the quality of her work. There was no pulling, clumping, double lash glueing. I also like the fact her lashes were done as well. I mean, who likes a salesman that doesn't stand by their product? All in all, a really seamless experience. read more

Lena is incredible. I found her based on a referral by a friend. Previously, I went to Lashed By Love and was going to go back, however, their price increases made it hard for me to justify spending that kind of money when there are so many other lash extension establishments around town. I had a full set put on in December for a wedding. Lena had a special at that time which included 1 fill. She is meticulous and my lashes looked absolutely fabulous. I received a lot of compliments on how great and natural my lashes looked. I was addicted but I recently had them removed but only because I want give my natural lashes a break before getting extensions put back on for summer. Lena takes appointments over text, she's very accommodating and makes sure you are comfortable. I drank coffee before my first time getting eyelash extensions (probably not the best idea) and she navigated over my fluttering eyelids carefully and deliberately. The results were stunning. I asked her for dramatic but not too dramatic and she said she could do that with a cat eye. It was only a full set with 80 lashes (there is a classic option with 100 lashes) but she knew exactly what I wanted and executed it perfectly. Lena really agonized over each and every one of my eyelashes. It took about an hour and 50 minutes. Her prices are very affordable for beautiful results. I booked with Bella Beauty online after my salon closed that I had been going to for the past year. I read the reviews and booked with Lina because she was the best as far as reviews go. I arrived 15 minutes before my appointment. Lina greeted me, she was busy with a client at the time. She mentioned Britney would be right with me. I suspected it would be to take my paperwork that I had filled out. I was wrong about that assumption! Britney took me into the room and asked me how I would like my lashes. I was confused that Lina wasn't doing them but decided to just go with the flow and have Britney do them. I told her I wanted natural looking lashes and do not want them too long. The whole time Britney was doing my lashes, I too stayed awake because she was not gentle it felt like she was still learning, she was struggling. When she was finished, she did not offer a mirror or anything for me to look at the lashes. I got up and looked in the mirror on the wall, they were all the same size and super long - they looked awful! I wanted to scream but I held my breath. I then mentioned to her that I booked the appointment with Lina and was confused by this. Britney told me her appointment went over and Lina "had" to take over for her - she apologized, shrugged and that was the end of discussion. I paid and left. As I got into my car my bottled up anger won out and I marched back into the salon and spoke to Lina. She agreed to fix my lashes right on the spot and they turned out better, but still not great, because she was working on another client of her own at the time and rushed my fix (glue in my eye, etc...). For a new place with minimal reviews, I decided to take a chance. I bought the yelp deal and she currently only takes cash. That's ok. I can see she is establishing her clientele. I've never had lash extensions before. So I was definitely in for a surprise. I didn't get the gal's name- but she was a true sweetheart. Met her at the salon in downtown Bellevue and chatted really quickly about ourselves. She's a gal I'd love to be friends with- truly sweet! I told her I'd never done anything like this before so she gave me a quick run down on what she does. I must say, smooth first experience. Laid down in the chair and she put those eye pads on and the entire time eyes are closed. She has the lightest touch- I mean, feathers! There were times I could tell she was working on each eye lash but goodness, about 80% of the time, she was so light I didn't even know if she was doing anything! It felt soothing and calming- I passed out! I probably fell asleep for half of the session, definitely over an hour of work. But I woke up to the cutest look! I had asked her in the beginning since I didn't know anything about lash extensions, what would be a good look for me, she recommended the baby doll look for my face and eyes. I agree, way cute! I woke up and examined my lashes and noticed a significant result!! My eyes were totally defined and I fell in love! I think from that day on, I'm hooked. I'm addicted- I had to get used to the lashes being so long. I'm a face and eye toucher- always rubbing my eyes and fidgeting somehow. But I think because it was my first time ever, I made extra effort not to fidget or touch. Lina is amazing. She has talent and knows what she is doing. I had eyelash extensions by others before her and they never look as good or felt as great as when she does them. My eye shape and eyelashes make it hard for eyelash extensions to show. The extensions are to heavy or other people don't carry longer lengths.
