Had a terrible experience with Stephanie at the Bellevue Brow Bar today. I arrived (on time) for my appointment and waited since she was with a client. I understand services can go long, but after five minutes of no one even acknowledging my existence, I politely asked if it would be much longer. She said it would be 5 more minutes, so I browsed while I waited. After 10 more minutes she let me know that it would be another 15 before she could see me because she messed up the color on the other client's tint. At that point, I let her know I would be canceling. I didn't want to wait a total of 30 minutes for what had already been terrible customer service. I have had wonderful experiences at other Brow Bars before, so this was very disappointing. 30 minutes is a long time to wait past my appointment time, especially when she spent the first five minutes ignoring me. The other reviews seem to be for appointments with past employees. I can't recommend Stephanie. read more

Needed some eyebrow therapy as during covid I became a beautician doing my own eyebrows and messing it up. I was meaning to try this place as I walk by it when in Macys and it was highly recommended by a friend of mine in the beauty industry. Well... let's say I wasn't disappointed at all. Quick and easy online booking with a list of all prices for all their services they offer. Met with Rebecca who was amazing. She knew exactly how messed up my eyebrows were and how to make it beautiful again. Not once she said wow you really did a bad job here but instead was , I got you , don't you worry. It's a open bar in the middle of Macys so yes, people are walking by and watching, but it's super clean. Rebecca had gloves on and cleaned everything she used. She was very friendly, gave tips and shared some useful eyebrow knowledge Highly recommend seeing Rebecca here. You will not be disappointed! I love finding good eyebrow wax spots! I've liked the three people who have worked on my eyebrows here and recently made a second appointment with Bree instead of choosing to just drop by when I have some free time. I love that it's possible to walk in and usually only have to wait maybe 15 minutes get a service! Favorite bonus: The waxing pros are Benefit reps so they're usually happy to apply some foundation, blush, mascara, etc after the wax! Sometimes they even send me home with a couple Benefit samples... Tips: Their system isn't set up for credit card tips so at this time they can only accept cash tips. The only person I wouldn't recommend this Brow Bar to is a person who wants to get their face waxed in private. I don't notice anything while they're working on me but some people might not like the idea of strangers who are browsing the Macy's make-up department being able to see them during their appointment. read more

Poor service from other staff, but Elfen is great! Today I was about 10 minutes late for an appointment due to getting stuck in traffic behind a stalled car. The woman at the bar let me know that they had to take the next person in line. Which is fine, but she didn't even give me a chance to reschedule the appointment- just essentially ignored me afterwards. I felt so horrible then I just had to walk away. I would've been fine with scheduling another time but she was unnecessarily rude and cold. Also - I wasn't able to call to inform them of my delay because there's no direct number! If I ever book again I'll try to do so with Elfen because my experience with them has only been positive. If you ever go here, book with Elfen, and try to track down their elusive phone number if you're ever late. read more

They really know how to shape your brows without looking super thin! I love going to this place when my brows tend to be unruly and I always know that they won't make it super thin! Their wax also smells so good too! Love love love! I also like that they fill in your brows abs add a little touch up for the red marks after your wax appointment! If you want brows that will frame your face then go to this brow bar! It a nice brows bar inside the Macy's store , you can't miss it! I happened to be in Macy's and was in desperate need of an eyebrow cleanup, so I decided to find the Benefit Brow Bar (on the ground floor of the mall). I didn't have an appointment, but luckily they were able to take me and got me seated in a matter of minutes! Elfin did a great job of waxing my eyebrows (they don't offer threading) and he applied some eyebrow pen to make it look thicker and darker, which looked cool. He was so friendly and made me feel super comfortable with him very quickly. They of course try to upsell you products, but can you really expect anything less in a mall? I love Benefit products and was looking to replace my mascara anyway. After Elfin told me about the MANY promos and deals Benefit was running, he finally presented me with a promo I actually wanted - my mascara with 2 additional products for the same price as the mascara alone! At $21 for eyebrow waxing, this is more expensive than what I normally pay for threading. But it certainly hurts less and it's nice that they apply additional product to darken your brows and take away the redness. read more

I was having a hard day and wanted to do something nice for myself, and something to help boost my confidence. I decided to get my brows done on a whim while I was wandering through Macy's...and that's where my day changed. Elfen greeted me kindly, listened to my concerns, and then explained each step of what he was doing and why he was doing it, from brow mapping to the products he was using. After the was and brow shaping, he brought in a few other products to bring a whole look together. Seeing myself in the mirror with new brows and the glow he added with blush and bronzer, I think it smiled for the first time today and felt ready and renewed. Today, I had an appointment with Marie. I showed up at my scheduled time and saw noone at the brow bar. I figured that since the mall just opened maybe she is running a little late. Okay, no big. After 20 min, still noone. I approached one of the ladies in the nearby counters and asked if someone was supposed to be at the brow bar today. They said someone should be here, but had no number to call to confirm if someone was on their way and offered to have me leave my number to call when they do arrive. Well, after about 30 minutes the ladies did call only to tell me they are still not here and they will pass on my number to the next person manning the brow bar. What is the point of scheduling these appointment weeks in advance if they are not honored or at least contact me to reschedule if they were not meant to be scheduled in the first place. I was in the need for a new brow place and decided to give this a try. I called to make an appointment for myself and my sister. The appointment process is a tad annoying since you get sent to the store phone, then get transferred to beauty, then to benefit but after a few minutes I managed to get appointments. They are open everyday (different people work at different times) and I believe they close at 7 pm with the last appointment being at 6:40. Definitely make an appointment since the station isn't that big. Jasmine was the one who did our brows and she did an amazing job! She just went for it and made them look amazing. I also noticed after the wax my skin wasn't as red as it usually is so that was a nice extra! She was also super nice and you could tell she took pride in her work. At the end she offered to fill in my brows as well so I said " of course! " I've had others try and fill in my brows and made them way too dark but this was not the case with Benefit and Jasmine. My brows look better than they ever have. I will be coming back for sure! read more

I feel guilty giving a bad review because Nakita was nice, but the waxing services she provided were very poor. I can't speak to the other technicians as I only was seen by Nakita. I'm new to the area and was really excited to learn that the Bellevue Macy's had a benefit bar as I always went to them in the past. I called and scheduled an appointment and was happy when the receptionist said I would be with a very qualified individual who would be able to style my brows, not just provide a usual clean-up/maintenance waxing. So I scheduled by eyebrow and lip waxing appointment. I arrived for appointment on time and was greeted with a mild reception. The woman who greeted me said that "she could see me now." This was somewhat disappointing as I assumed my appointment was with a specific stylist, but I was willing to give Nakita a chance. Lip waxing: she used *way* too much wax on the two times she applied wax to my upper lip. This resulted in a much larger than normal red area on the side of my mouth. This is also probably way part of my lip still had hair that was not removed. Eyebrow waxing: she did not shape my eyebrows as requested, but merely applied wax to clean up the area. She also didn't get the small hairs that are left after waxing. When I got home I had to spend some time shaping my brows, removing the stray hairs underneath my eyebrows, and removing the hairs that were not removed from part of my upper lip. Like I said, a very bad experience. I would like to go back and see another person, but I'm worried about a repeat performance. read more

Daizema is this Brow Bar's rock star (and ONLY) Aesthetician. Not only is she super friendly and personal but she's a perfectionist! I enjoy seeing her and having fun chit chats along with rocking some nicely shaped brows thanks to her. I highly recommend Daizema at this brow bar location! No more fancy pants spas and salons when I can get gorgeous brows for less than half the price. This brow bar has been my go-to brow waxing spot the last 3 months and I love it! I was able to try them out a few weeks ago and was able to do a walk in due to an open spot. But unfortunately now they do schedule back to back, which means they don't allow walk-ins which suck because I usually try and go in during my breaks. So you HAVE TO book your appointment online. It was a guy who waxed my eyebrows and he was AMAZING. He helped shape them, fill them, and apply something to help with the swelling (I do have sensitive skin so it didn't really help but it's the thought the counts right). Two completely different shapes and a full chunk of hair was cut out of my brow and my brow almost looks like it has a scar on it. Michelle saved my face. Made an appointment a few days in advance which is highly recommended as she was fully booked Saturday. She's super knowledgable, friendly and knows her stuff. She's licensed and completely legit. It had been easily 9+ months since I got my brows waxed last. I used to go to Macy's downtown with Tomoko but it's a big hassle to get down there these days. After searching all over I decided to stick with Benefit. Their cosmetic line is my preferred brand! I was a little early to my appointment so one of the other Benefit gals sat me down and showed me some of their new products. I love new products despite not wearing much make up at all. i was shown over to Michelle's station, got my brows reshaped and was done pretty quickly. I *highly* recommend making an appointment ahead of time if you're on some kind of time crunch or don't want to wait an hour for the next open slot (I came on a Wednesday and the next girl who came without an appointment had to wait 1.5 hrs for the next open spot). I visited Nakita for the first time time and I'm happy I did! I moved from Seattle to Bellevue and needed to find someone new. I called and got an appointment 2 hours later which was exciting since I had to book far out and plan ahead with my last waxing gal. It's probably the best brow wax I've ever had since the lines were very clean and she got every last hair. I really like the shape and I'm not sure how or why it looks so much better than my last waxes, it just does! She put some coverup on and filled in my brows afterwards which I agreed to but my brow area itched so badly (I'm pretty sensitive) that I immediately washed it off and put on my face lotion. Went in today for a brow wax. I had been wanting to get my brows waxed at a Benefit BrowBar for years and with my senior pictures coming up I decided to take the plunge. I went in shortly before 3pm to get an appointment, but unfortunately the brow artist was about to go on his lunch and I had to wait until 4pm. However once my appointment came it went super well. Elfen did my eyebrows and did an amazing job, and left me with a nice, precise look that didn't mess up my natural brow shape. I regretted not getting a lip wax as well, as it was only a few dollars more. One of the Benefit makeup artists, Sophia, even took time after my appointment to apply some eye makeup on me. The only downside I would have with the brow bar is that the employees do try to sell you extra products, but they're not too pushy if you tell them no. read more

My sister and I both got our brows waxed at this location a few days before my wedding. The girl was really nice and told us the wax is good & safe for sensitive skin. My sister immediately had a horrible break out from the waxing. Really upsetting since she was my maid-of-honor and we hoped to have good family photos at the wedding! I on the other hand did not, thank goodness...until a few days after the wedding! I got a few small white bumps under my brows. I had to see a dermatologist, i had clogged pores that needed to be extracted. Nothing else in my cosmetic regiment changed except the brow wax. I had such a good experience at the brow bar downtown that I was very disappointed when I found out the one in Bellevue is not nearly as good. Jasmine didn't really small talk or make me feel comfortable. She immediately started dipping into the wax without asking exactly what I wanted... Didn't talk me through what she was doing or ask me what I wanted. I told her that I had been trying to grow my brows fuller since my last appointment, and it looks like I'll have to do it again because my brows are sooo tiny and thin now! I didn't get to see them at all until the end and by then it was too late! Also, I got my lip waxed for the second time ever. I expressed some uncertainty, and asked for opinions. She was very brusque and again just went right for the wax. Like I said, I haven't done this much, but the last time I'm pretty sure not even close to that much wax was used. It went clear up to the corner of my nose and down in a huge triangle! And man it hurt. Also, she barely used any of the Benefit products on me. For a $27 wax, you'd think you'd get some added pampering as well. Basically, I think Jasmine just has a bad chair-side manner. To her it's all business, not a person to person service. read more
