As someone with dark skin and 4C hair who has always struggled with ingrown hairs, scarring, and irritation, the difference has been incredible. The front desk staff was not very kind or welcoming during checkout. I was made to feel embarrassed for not knowing that two extra waxing strips would cost an additional $22, and that the travel-size wipes were $13 after being told they were free. I left feeling uncomfortable, embarrassed, and like I wasn't treated very well by the front desk. While I appreciated the kindness of the person who provided the service, the checkout experience really impacted how I felt leaving the appointment. I called ahead of time & they said they weren't busy. I got there & there were 4 people ahead if me which I thought wasnt bad. BUT there was only one person working. I waited an hour & during that hour the place got more full. I wanted to leave due to the wait time but i really needed my brows cleaned for an event. Once it was my turn, i asked her not to touch the shape but rather just clean the brow. I was so nervous as all the women who were there had very thin brows. I asked for price & she said $3. I was shocked. I also asked her to wax my upper lip & she said that would be $5. Which was ok. However, she applied the wax & was way to hot for the skin. They use the wax that gets hard & they pull. No use of cloth. She then went in with thread to finishing cleaning what the wax couldnt. You know that saying "YOU GET FOR WHAT YOU PAY FOR" This brow place is exactly that. Very cheap price. Very slow service.
