For the past two months I have been dealing with horrible pain in my top part of my foot, went to urgent care, my foot doctor, got xrays and all they could tell me was it was probably arthritis flareup. During both of my sessions, I was never given laser safety eyewear. When I asked about eye protection, staff told me it wasn't necessary because the machine is "3D." After my second session, I researched the device. The "3D" in Soprano Titanium refers to its three wavelengths (755nm / 810nm / 1064nm) -- it has nothing to do with eye safety. In fact, the 1064nm wavelength can reach the retina, and the manufacturer specifies laser-rated eye protection for patients as standard. Every reputable clinic provides it. This one didn't, and worse, gave me a made-up explanation when I asked. If a facility cuts corners on something as basic as eye protection -- and confidently gives customers false safety information -- I can't trust anything else about their safety practices: machine settings, maintenance, staff training, any of it. I cancelled my remaining 4 sessions. I couldn't get a refund through Groupon and had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Do your research. Your eyes don't grow back.
