I booked an appointment at Salon Saida because they claim to know how to style curly hair. I was booked with Ashley. Right from the start, she suggested keratin treatments and after a decent haircut she decided to style my hair straight. When I asked her to style it curly, she wanted to add devacurl(which is shown to cause severe hair loss). Love this place. My boyfriend has been regular customer here for years, so he suggested me to come here for my complete new look. I hadn't touched my hair for 2 years as I was a part of challenge not to cut my hair for years. Anyway, when I came here with my very long hair asking to cut it no longer than shoulder length, Saida not only gave me new look that works perfect with both curly and straight way but also she offered me to donate my hair for children's cancer center to where they have been donating lots of hair years. So this is not only an amazing service business but also very responsible business who cares about their surrounding. Another thing I am impressed with its service is they are actually able to work with all kind of hairs including straight Asian hair, curly black hairs, and so on and on. After my own experience, I brought my niece who has mixed race of black and Asian. Don't take it racist way. As an Asian, I always go to Asian salon where they know how to deal with my soft straight hair. But with my niece, we always have hard time to find a good hair cut for her as her hair is soft as Asian and curly as black. But Saida managed her hair very well. The one star is for doing a good job shaping my eyebrows but the owner of the salon who wax my eyebrows tore off skin on my eyelids and I'm concerned that there may be scarring. I called the salon in left him a voicemail detailing the situation but nobody has called me back and that just goes to show that they don't really care. I'm using natural alloy and ingredients to treat the skin and I am hoping to heal my eyelids without having any scars left over. I've been waxing my eyebrows for about 15 years now and I've never had this happen to me before. So please be careful when getting your eyebrows waxed here. read more

Wow, great place for a haircut. I have never been there before but I will definitely be back. First of all, the customer service is great. The stylist was able to fit me in for an early Saturday morning appointment because a special event Sat. night snuck up on me and I was overscheduled. -- as usual. I also liked the bright space with lots of windows and pretty pale apricot colored walls. I felt at home there...well, actually I should say I wish my home looked like that! Finally, it's right next to the French Bakery in Kirkland. This may or may not be a good thing because their food is sooooo good but so much butter. OMG, I might have to review that place next -- I love it. Overall, I'll be back to Salon Saida, reasonable haircut prices particularly for Kirkland, my haircut looked great and the stylist was very nice and dow to earth. I'm glad I found it. read more

Salon Saida is one of my favorite things about living in Kirkland. Saida does a fabulous job with my cut and color (single process, highlights, you name it). Third time's a charm! This is the third salon I've been to in Kirkland and I've finally found the one! Saida is wonderful. She worked with my hair (fine and mostly gray) and shaped it to my face so that I have a natural look that is flattering. Just what I wanted. No more haircut anxiety! As a bonus, Saida is lovely. Great place! Walked in at 3pm.. she told me to come back in an hour and she'd be happy to help. I just needed a quick trim and she was wonderful! Great job on cleaning up the dead ends and she only charged me 25 bucks. Since my hair was already wet, and didnt really need it styled after.
