Don't let the unassuming exterior of this spa, located in an unassuming strip mall by an Urgent Care clinic, fool you; this place offers first class skin care by knowledgeable and skilled aestheticians. I went to the Grand Opening of this salon a few weeks ago and was very impressed by Cinderella (yes, that's her actual name. And the more you get to know her, the more apt the name is. She is as lovely as can be). The place inside is small but lovely, with a beautifully decorated interior hallway wall lined with vertical bamboo posts. And the individual rooms are warm (literally and figuratively), with soothing music playing, soothing artwork, and salon treatment beds that silently raise and lower, with all the modern facial machines one can imagine. But machines are only part of the recipe. The product line is wonderful, organic, from Hungary, in scents and in textures I'd not experienced before. And Cinderella is amazing, how she initially consults with you, about your skin care needs and goals, and customizing your facial and the products to use. And the actual facial? Magic. Words cannot articulate how relaxing it was, with the facial massages, and neck and shoulder and arm massages, and scalp massage, and hot eucalyptus towels, and amazing products. My skin was glowing afterwards and is still glowing. At the salon opening, my daughter and I experienced the complimentary waxing they offered, and we were impressed by how thorough they were, making sure eyebrows were symmetrical, brushing the brows after the waxing, tweezing any errant hairs left over - very professional and thorough. We were not expecting such thorough treatment for a complimentary service! They do sugaring as well as waxing, but I have no idea what that is (and it kinda scares me, truth be known. LOL!). The products are available for sale, if one is interested. They are pricey but probably worth it. The services here, too, are pricey (more so than other places I have gotten facials at), but I must say, the skillset and product line are of higher quality. If you really want to treat yourself to some quality pampering, this is the place. read more

I thought this would be a great place to go, but as soon as I walked in they asked for my card information once they confirmed who I was it was not a great first impression. The woman Patrice I had my spot with was fake and saved my card to their system and I hadn't even had my first appointment yet. I will not be returning because while I understand you're a business, first impressions matter and I just felt like all they want is money. Also when I called to have my card removed from their system, no one answered so now I'm am dealing with their voicemail. read more

I went in for a 60 minute facial with Claire that I purchased from Groupon. Claire was great!! She explained the whole process and which products she was using before beginning. She asked about what allergies I have to ensure I would not have an allergic reaction to any of the products. The facial was delightful, I scheduled another appointment in 1 month. Super convenient location and easy booking! I waited until the last minute to get waxed before a vacation and was able to get in same-day! Helen (Huong) was very friendly and fast! The spa is very clean and professional and they carry great products too! I was in and out in less than 30 minutes for a lower leg and under arm! Cynthia waxed me for the first time today and I will not be going to anyone else in the future! She is beyond sweet and is great at what she does, she works Saturday through Monday...highly recommended going to her! *I will not return after a horrible experience now that Cynthia is no longer there. I have had 2 facials here and they have both been incredible! The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and takes the time to understand your skin. Also, the waxing I have had done here has been some of the least painful I have ever experienced (high quality wax perhaps) and I was super impressed with how great my brows looked. I've been going to the Bellevue location for the past year or so, but this was my first time at their new salon here in Kirkland. The new location is super clean, chic, and has easy parking. I usually go to see Cinderella for all of my waxing needs: eyebrows, upper lip & Brazilians. She works fast & effortlessly, but is thorough and makes sure that you are happy with her service. Ever since I've started going to her, I've never dealt with ingrowns or the painful/itchy rashes that you can often experience after a bad waxing. read more

I recently came to their new Salon in Kirkland for a full Organic facial. I was so happy with my facial and my skin has never looked better. The use of organic products made my skin glow and soft, there was also no reaction or redness after my facial and I was on my way to my meeting after. Bought a Groupon for a facial. It was amazing. Very relaxing and comfortable. My skin feels and looks amazing. I bought another as a gift for my boyfriend! Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend! Scents aren't too overwhelming either, if you are sensitive. Also very knowledgeable about skin issues and how current skin care can affect methods used in a facial. It's also right next to Ready Spaghetti if you want a bite to eat before or after! Also, if you are a guy, they said to wait at least 8 hours before shaving your face if you're getting a facial (but they can also give you a facial with a beard/ facial hair)! read more

I really enjoy my facial experience each time that I visit! Helen, the owner, is very professional and personable. She does the best facials because she incorporates her own proprietary techniques, as well as utilize the best skincare products on the market. I had a facial with Claire this morning. It was wonderful. She walked me through the facial itself before I even stripped down. On the extractions I felt almost no pain. Usually it's the longest 5 minutes of my life- not today folks! Afterwards my skin felt amazing. I'm going through some IUD hormonal changes and my skin is pretty rough and red, but afterwards it glowed. Give this woman a raise! read more

The first time I came in, I was extremely happy with the experience. I had my every brows done elsewhere and they were super uneven. Helen was so kind and did my eyebrows perfectly. Seriously BEST eyebrow wax I've EVER had, my eyebrows looked perfect for a whole month after . She took her time and did them just amazing. Last Sunday I had a last minute event and decided to stop by to see if they could take me as a walk in, they asked me to come back until 2:30, no biggie I get it. I came back and the girl who was there was kind and super fast. I was actually surprised how quickly she did them. I would've been okay if they told me they couldn't take me in that day, no big deal. I would've been back another day, but now I have patchy eyebrows. Literally less than a week after I got them done they already look horrible. I feel like she just cut them rather than wax them. So disappointing. 30 dollars (with tip) to have the perfect eyebrows Helen had shaped ruined. In the future I think I'll just book with Helen only. read more

They accommodate me at their new Kirkland location on very short notice. Funny I had never noticed them tucked away between the pasta place and the ER hospital. The place is small, neat and clean Patrice was gentle, kind and careful. I had a wax job and she even removed in-growths. She was funny and open. Brazilian waxing and sugaring have always been very painful for me. Other places meant well, but when they ripped off the cloth, it would be rather harsh - the pain would linger and my skin would stay red for awhile. Helen Wax Spa in Kirkland is the only place I've been to where my sugaring experience has been...can I say pleasant? The staff there is very kind, and Patrice does an excellent job of proving as pain-free of an experience as possible, while also tweezing all of those ingrown hairs. The products used are also nice - I like the washcloth with the tea tree oil applied at the end. The salon has a beautiful, modern and clean decor, and I've been seen promptly each time I had an appointment. read more

I went to Helen Wax Spa for the first time this week and it was a great experience! I called and asked if they had any last minute appointments and Cinderella was able to see me right away. I have gotten tons of Brazilians at all sorts of waxing studios and she was by far the fastest esthetician I have had. She was done in sub 20 minutes and did a really good job! She was finishing up with another client but I got In right at my set time. The bed was heated! She did a great job and made sure to get all of the left over hairs that are tricky! They take their time with me during facials and make sure I understand the best way to take care of my skin. The Kirkland location offers Eminence, a great organic product that has done wonders for my skin. I wouldn't trust anyone else with waxing or facials. read more

I called ahead of time inquiring about an appointment and the lady told me to come on in whenever. I showed up about an hour before closing and it was just one lady in the lobby (Cynthia?). She was very nice and got me set up for an eyebrow wax. I had never had them shaped before so she showed me with a mirror what she was going to do before the wax to make sure I'd like the shape. After, she cleaned things up with tweezers and gave me skin care suggestions for my when I move to a dry, hot state. The spa was clean and smelled great. The lights were dimmed which is always relaxing. For the price, the service was great! read more
