I highly recommend. Lynn does a great job on my pedicure. It's so relaxing and she's so sweet! On my last visit, she did a bikini wax for me! That was a first for this senior citizen but the results were so much nicer than a shave! I'm now a convert! I'm now back from a cross country trip so I need to get a half hour chair massage from Mike's magic hands. It's all I typically need to get rid of the stiffness I feel after sleeping in other beds and throwing my suitcase in and out of the car trunk, etc. I always figure I'll go back in a week if my back is still wonky but one session with Mike has always done the trick each time for me so far. Golden nails was very accommodating for my family and I recently! I called to make appointments for 6 people the next day and they had no problem fitting us in. Everyone in my family got something done, I got a pedicure and a facial. The pedicure is beautiful and the facial was absolutely amazing. It felt great to practice some self care and relax. The staff is all very friendly, they were talkative and kind. My dad was having good conversation with the workers and when we left they gave him a free bottle of wine! It was an expensive trip, because 6 people all getting one or two things done adds up. But worth the money! My family all felt relaxed and had a great time. Will be back! read more

This used to be my go to nail place but over the years, service has deteriorated. I've not been here since spring but thought I'd try again today.....I will not be coming back and this will be for good! Today, I soaked my feet with plain 'ol water, no salt or anything, just plain hot water and the lady didn't even ask how the temp was. I asked for a design and she came up with 15 dots that are supposed to resemble 3 flowers for $5 extra dollars. I don't mind paying extra but the workmanship was just very bad, I'm certain I could have done a better job. And when I was done, she didn't even take the time to help me out...like removing the foam thingy they put in between your toes or picking up my sandals that was under someone else's purse that was kinda out of my reach. I paid and just walked out! In the interest of full disclosure, I have to say that the wife does a really good job and I am always happy when I get (which is very, very rare). I messaged Nick on my phone and showed him a picture of my toe. My toe was swollen and painful to touch. I asked him if I should go to the doctor and he said no and to come in to his shop! I went in and Nick pulled out a super big ingrown nail that was causing my toe to become infected. Within 2 days of going in, my toe almost looked 100% better! Nick saved me a trip to the doctor and made it pain free. Not only do I love the way he does my nails, he has also helped me fix problems like my toe! Another thing was I pulled my back from babysitting and Nick gave me a back massage that helped ease some of the pain. I used to go here every 2 weeks with family and bring friends, a lot. They used to do really good and I loved my acrylics. I don't know what happened but they started changing how he did his nails and they started turning out hideous. Like uneven and designs wayyyy off. My last visit I brought 3 friends with me and I was so embarrassed and they were so bad I legit went home to rip them off. Like thick balls on my nails not flat and smooth and even as they should be, I also notice a lot of fake advertising on fb, a lot of work from Instagram that isn't his and I would hate for people to think that's their work when it's clearly not. read more

I've been here a few times. the first time i came my friend and I went in there for an eyebrow waxing and it was HORRIBLE. The guy there left wax in my friends eyebrow and told him to just go home and take it out, and with that said, the eyebrows were totally UNEVEN! The other time i went I got a manie and pedie, and they did it sooo quick, like they wanted you in and out, some of the nail wasn't fully painted, and plus I couldn't understand half of what they were saying. the quality of the manie and pedie was awful! I have a college education, can tell you what the MAF is and does on my car and read Buddha quotes in my spare time. So writing this review is forcing me to admit to you that I actually like having trailer park nails. It is a guilty indulgence that hopefully I have enough feminist karma to make up for. A lot of women have asked me about my nails. I might as well tell you that Nick is great too. I started going to him after questioning a girl with magnificent pink and whites. He does 'em right; long, short, natural, trailer park length and exotic. I even let him do black tips with sparkles one time, they were sooo much fun and almost kind of classy. Nick's signature is his eye for shape and proportion. He knows me well enough to build them up when I am working on my car and to thin them out to more elegant curves when I am preparing for an event. Either way, my nails have never looked thick. As for lifting and yellowing, these are the main reasons I have stayed with him. I am extremely hard on my manicure (as you can gather). His nails stay put through most of my shenanigans, and he always removes a set that is yellowing. I have tested Nick's eyebrow waxing against more expensive joints. He reliably gives me a nice arch, once again with that uncanny eye for proportion and shape. Some days I like to chat and joke. Other times I just like to quietly let them go to work. I can count on friendly service either way. Ann and Nick's wife do some of the best pedi designs. Delicate and beautiful. I wish I could teach them a proper leg massage, but that is nothing new with most salons I have had pedis at. They prefer cash, like most joints. Prices are reasonable for the area. read more

I just had the worst experience there. I wanted waxing and got into a glaucous area at the back of the shop (not even a real room). Hygiene is questionnable. A plastic spoon was used to apply the wax and clothes material instead of paper bands to remove the wax. I did not feel confident and asked to stop. Still I had to pay even though I left with not even half of my leg waxed... I absolutely recommend that you find another place. read more

I occassionally like to spend astronomical amounts at the spa for a pedicure but typically I come here. This is the best small joint I've encountered and score that its close to home. Nick and the ladies do amazing nails and I love getting a flower or design on my big toes after my pedi. I have yet to try a facial or waxing but I have friends that won't go anywhere else. Nick & his team will get your nails done fast, beautifully & the best part - painlessly :D One time I hadnt had a pedie done in a while and Annie took her time (even with the salon full) to make sure my cuticles were all pulled out and that my nails looked clean and fresh :) Every time I get my nails done I get about 6 complements a day about how shinny and cute my nails are, and other 10 are questions from random people: Where do you get your nails done at? It's so hard to find a good place to get a good manie/pedie, this place is IT! PS: I could see why Nick would get upset about costumers writing bad reviews after he serviced them with the best he has to offer. they do such an amazing job, and by the pics they post online you can they it's obvious they work is adored by lots of people. Lynn does a great job on eyebrows, really takes her time to comb it out, tweeze, and wax. Sometimes I come straight from work 10 minutes before they close and I never feel rushed. I just recently got a mani from Nick whom I don't mind most of the time. This is my first mani here and it may have been a long day (I didn't come in 10 minutes before closing this time), but it felt like he was lazy. He rarely looked like he was paying attention to what he was doing and only spoke to me suggesting I come every week and upgrade use their new products. He massaged my hand AFTER having painted my nails which means he couldn't do a great job massaging without ruining the fresh paint. read more

Update: After leaving this review, someone by the name of Kim (who I assume is the owner or at least an employee because she is the one who has uploaded all of their photos) contacted me calling me "B-I-C-H-E-S," accusing that I've never actually gone there and to show my real face on yelp. I find this so very extremely childish. If perhaps they had instead owned up to their mistake and offered to make it up to me, then maybe just maybe it would have convinced me to give them another chance. Or maybe I would have increased their review if they at least took responsibility and gave an explanation. But after this display of immature behavior I have decreased the review from 2 stars to 1, and will definitely NEVER be back, and STRONGLY advice against this place. I've been here for eyelash extensions, manicure and pedicure. All experiences were mediocre at best. Instead of adding one extension per eyelash, she clumped on ~3 extensions to 1/2 of my eyelashes, which upon first glance looks very glamorous, but is not at all practical. This was way too much weight so once they grew out a tiny bit they either drooped, popped off or made my eyelashes fall out, and I was left with only a few extensions and 1/2 as many natural lashes after maybe a week. The extensions she used were also way too long and straight instead of curved like they should be to look natural. The manicure and pedicure were mediocre with little attention to detail and honestly just pretty sloppy. For a manicure or pedicure with attention to detail to perfection I would highly recommend Idol Nails, on Bothell Way. P.S. No, I am in no way affiliated with Idol Nails. Just a normal woman living in Kenmore who has been struggling to find a good salon and want to share my discovery so you all can avoid wasting your time like I did! read more

I'm surprised to see some of the nasty reviews here, as this has been nothing like my experience with Nick, Ann, Lynn & Di. I enjoy all of their work. I get a pedicure and shellac manicure every 2-3. Their prices have remained the same and they are very consistent with their work - I never have a complaint. I will continue to recommend this salon to all my friends and family. read more

Walked in at 5:30pm and they had only one customer inside and three employees. I asked if they do gel removals and immediately one of the employees just said "we're busy", not even answering my question. I then asked when they're open until to see if they just wanted me to wait a moment until someone can help me, but the employee just said "come back tomorrow". Their business hour posted outside says they open until 7pm, but I guess they are happy just taking one customer at 5:30pm and then get ready to close the shop for the day. read more

The whole team here is great- Nick, Lynn, and Annie not only do great work, but they also really care about their customers. They learn your name, what you like to get done, and really care about what is going on in your life. They always make you feel welcome and special by doing things life offering you water or posting pictures of your lashes or nails on facebook or in their store. Thats customer service to the next level- not only taking great care of you, but also making you feel a part of what they do! I have been going to Golden Nails ever since moving into the neighborhood just over a year ago. Nick and Anne are great! They always do a wonderful job, and a very reasonable price. It's never difficult to get in here. Appointments are welcome but not required. Most of the time I just pop in whenever i have some free time. Even when they are busy I never have to wait more than a couple of minutes before they are ready for me. Anne does the best pedicures! And Nick does the most amazing eye brow wax at an inexpensive price. Plus, I have sensitive skin and some of the places I have gone in the past...the wax gives me a rash. Not the wax they use at Golden Nails. I have never had any problems with it. And I have never had to go home and "fix" my brows....which I have had to do before when I went to other places!
