Because of that, I was able to fully relax and enjoy my massage experience. Tao did a great job again and provided the exact pressure I prefer. His technique and attention to my comfort made the session very enjoyable. Before I paid, the manager Nina approached me and sincerely apologized for my previous experience regarding the air quality in the facility. I truly appreciate that she acknowledged my feedback and took the time to address it. It made me feel valued as a client. I've been coming to this Relaxing Station location in Bothell and will continue to do so as long as I'm in the area. I appreciate their effort to listen, improve, and take care of their clients. I still would like to push them to update the photos and/or names of their massage therapists on the monitor for familiarity and security reasons.

She had a strong press borderline painful getting out all the knots just the way I like. Hubby had Tao, he seemed a bit more gentle but firm which was perfect for him. Really good pricing. There's a $2 fee for debit cards so recommend bringing cash if you don't like paying fees.

She listens to what you are looking for (if your shoulders have been stiff, or if you want a relaxing massage that day), she's really strong, and very skilled at making knotty muscles behave! I love that I can ask her for the sciencey-answer to what she's doing or what muscles are locked up; it empowers me to learn more about my body and how to care for it afterwards! The spa itself offers convenient online booking, it's very clean and peaceful (and looks down onto the ocean!), and their customer service is top notch. I use their Wellness Plan option, which offers a year of monthly massage appointments for a slight discount. Love it!! I hope this place stays here forever. And the fact that it's right beside the ocean means that if you want to continue relaxing after your massage, you can just walk downstairs and sit on the beach.

Hmmmm. Since baby was born I have not had a chance to do…read moreanything for myself. Baby is now 9 months and my husband generously purchased a surprise facial & massage. I left pretty disappointed. 5 Stars facial -- The facial was awesome. The esthetician was so sweet and bubbly. She explained what was going to happen and her positive energy alone was 5+++ Stars. I would go back solely for future facials with her :) The massage: it was by a girl named Jennifer. After reading the reviews I'm saddens that I got a newbie vs. Marisa. It was the worst massage I have ever gotten. When the masseuse came in to meet me after I had spoken to the esthetician she was not warm - and bland. I told her I wanted deep tissue & to not be gentle. It started off ok, but as she got further along I thought "did I pay for a massage or merely to be inadequately rubbed with lotion". You know the massage isn't great when you're left laying there wondering when it's going to be over and it feeling like it's taking forever. I have had better relief when getting out of a long shower. Total disappointment ... :(

This is NOT a "hang out all day at the spa" spa. You have 45min prior to your service to enjoy the…read more"amenities" (aka a pool, pictured, and a small sauna that we didn't use). This is clearly stated on their website but my bestie who booked it didn't realize when she booked it for us, so this is your warning now! The pool was outdoors and it gives a perfect PNW vibe, and it's heated so it relaxes you prior to your treatment. You can hear people walking past the entire time, though, and also the window that is by reception looks out at the pool so people constantly walk by and stare. My treatment (a Swedish massage that turned into more of a sports recovery massage) was great but I mentioned being sore from a workout and my therapist took that as "she wants a rough massage", so it wasn't particularly relaxing. I did provide feedback here and there but mostly succumbed to it, and quite frankly it was probably what my body needed. The massage was good. But the real kicker is the lack of room anywhere. It feels like everybody is on top of you because there's no room to maneuver about. For example, the bathroom in the locker room contains one shower, and then the locker room has an additional shower. So if one is used, you can't go to the bathroom, or if the other is used, it kinda feels like you have no privacy. (I used the one in the locker room cuz I figured someone may need to use the toilet so I'd keep that open, but then there were no hooks inside the shower so it reinforced that lack of privacy--I'd have to use the ones outside the door.) Speaking of the locker room, the place to get ready after your treatment was right by the door in the locker room so it felt like you were in the way as people would come in and out. I specifically asked my massage therapist to not touch my hair so I wouldn't have to wash it so I could more easily get ready when I was leaving. This is only a problem who intended for it to be a day spa, but if you have a room nearby you can just go get ready there. All of these are minor inconveniences but stacked, this just makes this spa not for me. I won't be returning.

Service: Friendly staff and accommodating. Very welcoming environment. The massage experience was fantastic and I felt like a limp noodle when I left. There are lockers where you can set your own electronic pin on and place your things inside. Showers are right next to the lockers. You will be given a bathrobe and a pair of slippers to borrow during your visit. Complimentary water in the waiting room. I definitely recommend soaking in the outdoor hot tub before your treatment, though I was not a fan of the ants.

He likes a much more intense massage where I prefer a relaxing massage and the hot stones that he added on were absolutely fabulous. My provider said to me afterwards "wow your body really liked those hot stones". I should've asked her what she meant by that, however, I knew it was true and smiled and nodded in acknowledgment. We then moved into the hydrotherapy area for an hour. The locker rooms and I can only speak for the women's side are clean and roomie, there's a dressing area if you're a little more modest. There are restrooms showers wonderful products in the showers a long counter area with stools where you can blow dry your hair. There's snacks and healthy waters available in the reflection area before you enter your massage or hydrotherapy session. It was our third visit together and I'm sure we'll be back again.

I have bruises on my collarbones. I recently had my labs done and have no issues that would lead me to think this was a medical concern. I have also had recent hydrofacials from other spas with no concerns- notably one in February. I felt I needed to follow my etiquette and did tip her 18% but I will not be coming back- I left in a great deal of pain and look like I have been beaten up.
