I've accumulated my favorites, and a lot of them feel less like people providing a service and more like familiar neighborhood aunties/friends I haven't seen in a while. They will ooh and aah over whatever I happen to show up wearing, whether I'm actually dressed up or have rolled in looking hobo chic in sweats. New Hair color, fading hair color, eyeliner, eyeshadow, jewelry that is expensive or absolutely not expensive... somebody will notice it and hype me up. They also have no problem side-eyeing me when I disappear for weeks and eventually return with nails or toes that are WELL beyond their maintenance date. I get scolded for neglecting them, give my excuses about traveling, being busy or simply being too lazy/burnt out to care, and receive the appropriate sympathetic nods mixed with disappointment. Then we carry on. That familiarity is honestly one of my favorite things about coming here. Quality can depend quite a bit on which tech you get, though, especially for Gel-X and nail art. After this many years I know whose work suits me and who I prefer to book with. I've had some beautiful sets here that (I mocked up the design & bring a visual with me) strangers have literally stopped me to compliment, but I've also had sets with premature lifting and recently had a Gel-X extension pop completely off in under five days. So for anything more involved, I recommend finding a tech whose work you like and booking with them specifically. The owner and I are decidedly not each other's cup of tea, and after four years I generally prefer coming at times when she isn't there. I'll leave it at that. My affection for this place has always been much more about the techs(staff) themselves. So no, it isn't a salon I'd describe as flawless or perfectly consistent. But there are women here I genuinely adore seeing, they've done some wonderfully ridiculous colorful nails for me over the years, and there's something lovely about walking into your neighborhood nail salon after disappearing for a while and immediately being greeted with, essentially, "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? I missed you!! And look at your nails!"

I had a great experience with my actual technician, who did a wonderful job on my nails and was very professional. However, during my visit, the initial person that greeted me was rude and not helpful when I told her my name and my appointment time. I don't think they even keep track of this. She just wanted to know what service I wanted. Even more annoying, I noticed some behavior nearby that impacted the overall experience. A technician sitting just two stations away was eating sunflower seeds at their desk. Even though they weren't working on me directly, the constant cracking noise was loud and ruined the relaxing environment. More importantly, eating messy snacks at a nail station raises some hygiene and cleanliness concerns for a professional salon. My technician deserves 5 stars, but I hope management addresses the behavior of the other staff to keep the environment clean and relaxing for everyone.

LAW SUIT! STAY AWAY!!!!! So the owner has her nephew working in there and that guy has ruined my hair now TWICE! They don't greet your or say hello. When I walked in there was the nephew cutting a guys hair. After he finished with him he asked me just to sit down... Without cleaning the area or the chair. I described to him in detail what I wanted done to my hair. I told him the type of style and length. I went in for a "Taper" He then started cutting my hair and started SHAVING my head off completely. I proceeded to asking him why he had done that and due to his lack of English he just nodded. I showed him the picture of what the style was suppose to look like and he rudely replies "I did not understand what you wanted..." If you didn't understand what the customer wants why start shaving their head off?! Last time I was in there he shaved my forehead and gave me a new hairline. I had talked to the owner about it on the previous occasion. After I complained he proceed to cutting my hair. I then told him to stop because I could no longer trust this person and his lack of sympathy towards the situation was bothering. Not to mention this entire time after I complained there was another lady talking to him in Vietnamese. I felt so weird standing between the two. Incredibly rude. I then got up and told them I wanted to speak to the owner. I have scars in the back of my head that I need to cover that this individual had just made so obvious. The lady started yelling at me and gave me the business card. I told her she needed to be more professional and she demanded that I be understanding of their side!! They shave my head off and ask me to calm down and to understand the fact he can't communicate when it comes to English?! I'm not racism. I'm not American but before you start buzzing someone's scalp make sure that is what they asked for. I had such long hair. The woman kicked me out. I walked into work with my hair like that. I do plan to follow through with legal action. I tried to make things work with them but those two were so unprofessional. They don't understand its stuff like that that closes businesses. read more

You should know their polish is SO LIMITED, mostly old lady colors let's be real (blues, reds and some pinks). They were patient with me as I sampled colors because I went in with wanting a pale/pastel green color - I came out with like a forest green color because that was the best they had. The lady who actually painted my nails did a fabulous job and if this was just a review on the painting it would get 5 starts, but the rest of the service was just bad. There was a lady doing my toes and she ripped off my old polish with cuticle clippers, didn't really let my feet soak so when she used those same clippers to cut my cuticles it was unpleasant. She also kept commenting about my appearance. When it came to the pedicure she sat on her phone while my toes were curing and I must of sat there for an extra 5-10 minutes waiting for her to stop scrolling. Respectfully do that on your own time. She only massaged one leg which was strange and they definitely were judging me the whole time. They also set a lot of their tools on the ground (the uv light, the water bowl) and I just thought that was weird behavior. Overall just go to fashion nails down the street - they are much friendlier and have a bigger selection of polish and it was a 5$ pay difference.
