I ordered a blue dress, and was sent a green dress. According to Trevor I received the correct color even after sending a picture of the dress next to the website picture. He would not issue me a return, and told be some BS about product color differing due to camera lense or lighting. so now I'm stuck with an unwanted sea foam dress (which if you google, is green), that the tag on the dress says is the color, not blue. Received wrong item. Paid for 2-3 day shipping on a Wednesday, did not receive full order until almost a week later. The dress sizes were completley misrepresented as were the descriptions of the products. Poor quality and terrible customer service. I have now made 3 attempts to be contacted with no luck. I bought a dress and it was too big. They would not let me do a simple exchange for a smaller size without first paying for return shipping and shipping of the new item AND the cost of the new dress before refunding my money after the new dress arrived. Not sure what kind of business doesn't offer returns in 2022 but on top of that I wasn't able to get ahold of customer service via phone until the following week after I placed my order. I was unhappy with their response and was provided their managers email address. I purchased my dress for a wedding and made my intentions clear that I wanted to exchange the dress for another but was in a very short timeframe to do this in. They responded two days later and said that they would waive the $15 for expedited shipping . The only possible way to get the dress on time was to purchase it that day. I was super communicative in letting them know that I would be doing that and updating them once the return had occurred to reconcile the refund. 14 hours later I finally get my return notice with store credit and I let the manager know that I received it but I already purchased my replacement dress. Oh guess what they decide to not honor that one time exception they were going to make and issue the refund. They were extremely condescending and told me to go read their refund policy and made the effort of sending novels of emails in response with no empathy whatsoever or acknowledgement of fault/understanding but were sure ended every email with "have a lovely day!" Unbelievable. I would rather have my original dress then but instead now I've spent $150 supporting a business that values pride and greed over customer service. Shady business practices. Just look at their reviews and complaints on BBB. Currently in dispute with paypal & filed complaint with BBB. I had placed an order for an item, but after seeing all the negative reviews and seeing that they do not allow refunds once an order has shipped (only store credit), I contacted the shop to cancel my order. The shop refuses to refund me even though my order has never shipped. Untrustworthy in every sense not to allow refunds especially since an item hasn't even been shipped and is sitting at their shop. Greedy and will take your money. Run the other way! Plenty of other good, honest local businesses to support. Take your money elsewhere. read more

I called customer service and they refused to give a refund - saying that they only refund in "store credit." The man on the phone (Trevor Williams - who apparently seems to be the only in the customer service department) was incredibly rude. Would never shop here again or recommend this place to anyone. I ordered this dress for engagement pictures. It ended up being too short (I'm tall), so I requested to send it back. I read that I had 30 days to return it. I didn't keep reading about returns after I saw "30 days." I should've, so that's my fault. You get 30 days, but only 15 after the day you request a return. I'm busy like most people and lost track of time, thinking I had 30 days. I sent it back within 30 days and they wouldn't accept it. They asked if I wanted it sent back to me. I said yes. They then sent me an invoice for nearly $7 I had to pay to have it sent back to me. I was trying to decide what to do and hadn't made a choice yet. I received a text today, on day 8 after them sending me the invoice, saying they restocked it and aren't sending it back. So now I'm out nearly $100 that I don't even get store credit for. The dress wasn't good quality for what I paid either. Let this be a lesson to always read return policies completely and never order from a store that doesn't give refunds, but only store credit. read more

I like the selection of clothes they offer but tried to leave a bad review for one of their dresses. I washed it, not following the washing instructions which I indicated on the review, and they would not publish my review. I wanted to warn people that they needed to follow the washing instructions if they purchased the dress. I like transparency in places that I shop and they filter their reviews. read more

When they sent me the wrong color item, they waited until they received the item back in the mail before sending me the correct item, all the while using slow shipping. I'm still waiting for my item and it's been almost three weeks since I placed my order. Cute stuff however, after I got my shirt home I found a small rip in the seam. I took it back to be exchanged for the same one and they wouldn't do it be I didn't have tags. I had the receipt and I wanted the exact item but they didn't care. The store manager in the AF location just kept telling me how she would lose her job. (Really? I originally found this place in desperate need of a dress for an upcoming wedding and due to the fact that I've never ordered from here, I ordered multiple dresses and some in a couple different sizes with the plans of returning all but one. Come time to return, I found out that it would be store credit which was saddening at first but was able to get a ton of cute clothes. Had I taken the time to read their return policy I would've found this out sooner - but not a reason to fault the company since I was the one who didn't take the time to read it. The refund was issued the moment my clothes got scanned into the post office and was already ordering my replacement clothing the same day! All of my orders came within a couple of days and were great quality. There was only one order that took a week compared to the 2/3 days it took for my others, which originally worried me after seeing these reviews, but was able to get in touch with them and was actually delivered the next day. I had only paid for upgraded shipping for the dresses too and none of the others too! Overall, I would take these reviews with a grain of salt as I've had nothing but a great experience so far. If you're worried, try ordering one of their cheaper items (all very reasonably priced!) and find out yourself. I'm sure their return policy is due to the fact that most people buy special event dresses here, wear it then try to return it. I ordered a dress and then minutes late found a similar dress at another shop at a fraction of the cost. I immediately emailed Bella Ella and asked to cancel my order. They were quick to respond, telling me they wouldn't allow it, saying it was against their policy. However, they said I could return it after I received it, but all shipping costs would be on me, unless I exchanged or got a store credit. They shipped the dress, it arrived and it was beautiful, but it runs small. I emailed them and asked to exchange it for a bigger size. No problem. Except when they finally got it, they didn't have the size I asked for. They offered a store credit or refund. There was nothing else I wanted, so I asked for a refund, expecting a full refund. They gave me the refund, minus shipping charges. As a business owner myself, this is awful customer service and business practice. Businesses should assume the loss and not put that on their customers. Absolutely awful customer service. read more

Where to even start. I wish I could give this boutique zero stars. The problems started when I received the dress I ordered. I paid $80 for a white dress. The dress is completely see through, extremely stiff and cheap fabric, and a ton of thread ends are loose. I then contacted customer service the day I received the dress to return it. On their website it states "will be provided with a pre-paid shipping label", however when you return through the portal they make you pay for shipping. When I contacted customer service I was told they won't pay return shipping even after I sent them a screenshot of the above statement. I then had to leave town before getting a response back from them but thought it was fine since I was returning before the 30 days. After returning home, I contacted them back and said I will return it for a full refund and pay return shipping myself since the dress is such bad quality I will never wear it. They then told me 30 days is over since it's from the day it was ordered. They do not account for processing time or shipping time (which was extended due to Covid). I've had the dress in my possession for 23 days but they won't accept a return. Very obvious that this was just an excuse again to not refund the item. I haven't had such a bad quality product and bad quality customer service experience in a very long time. Just STAY AWAY from this company. read more

I've only had great experiences at Bella Ella. I have bought 4 or 5 pieces and have been very happy with them. Their clothes aren't as pricey as other boutiques around, but they have loads of the same pieces. Such a good deal. Every experience I've had with the employees has been satisfactory, so no complaints there. read more

Bella Ella looks like it has cute things, but they all fall apart the second you wear them. I bought a jacket from here and all the buttons fell off by the next day. I bought sandals from here, and they broke before I even walked down the street to my car. Also, the customer service is terrible, but that's true about a lot of clothing and accessory stores. I one time had a coupon for $10 off and I went up to the counter with $50 of merchandise. The lady wouldn't let me use the coupon because I didn't have the original receipt to go with it. The funny thing is, it was that same lady who had given me the coupon a week before and failed to mention I had to keep the receipt. I ended up not buying anything. They would have made more money and kept my loyalty if they just let me use the coupon. read more
