Betty I. Bella Dental is a truly unique and wonderful place! Dr. Li is a dentist I highly recommend. She is exceptional with a wonderful bedside manner as is her staff. She has been helping me with my dental needs with care and sensitivity. Her understanding of a patient's fear is exceptional. My teeth are doing so much better. She is a talented dentist!! I haven't trusted many dentists in my life. Dr. Li has changed that! I also love the family atmosphere the minute you walk in! read more

I read the good reviews and booked my appointment for my routine cleaning. To my disappointment, I found the office unsanitary and the ruckus from the Dentist's kids yelling screaming and crying in the office made my time uncomfortable. I wasn't quite satisfied with the cleaning results either. It wasn't quite thorough as I can feel the roughness. read more

Finding this office was a blessing, the costumer service is amazing and the results are going great

The words experience ever I wuent in for my cleaning and the doctor was very aggressive I never feel pain just for getting clean regularly she hurts me more than 3 times I was so scared and I want it to finish ASAP not plessent experience besides my teeth got really sensitive after it dosent make sense to be coming for you cleaning you feeling fine and everything then the next day I'm On pain from how rough she was. Uhhh, I am the biggest of all chicken sh*ts when it comes to any dental work. But, Dr Li, and her staff have done an amazing job at keeping me calm. She services all of my family members, and came highly recommended. Dr. Li and her entire staff were super understanding and not irritated by my paranoia's. Perhaps they get a kick out of it. I'm an over grown child with tattoos galore. People just don't understand it's not the same ! Haha Services were fast, I wasn't waiting forever in the waiting room for my appointment - like most places. She seemed honest, gentle and understanding. I paid a little over $500 with no insurance for a consolation, 2 cavity fillings, and a cleaning. I'm not sure if that's above or below average - but it seemed fair enough to me. I am also waiting for an Invisalign consultation which she did complimentary. Oh, and they're even so great - they gave me headphones to use, because I forgot mine, and I hate the sound of them working on my teeth. (: I definitely recommend for people who are like me, and just absolutely hate the dentists! read more

best dentist in the whole wide world! super caring, prompt, pain free, reasonable prices can't be better read more

Dr. Li Cavallo was amazing, I realized once I got there that my insurance didn't cover dental. But for only $140 they did xrays, dental cleaning. When I checked out there were no extra charges or fees, just the flat rate. Great price and super professional, amazing team read more

My daughter went to Dr. Li, and I can't begin to tell you how accommodating her front desk team and assistant were to us. They followed all proper COVID protocols, and the establishment was clean and quiet, and no wait. My daughter explained her past experiences with another traumatic dentist, and to top it all off; the dentist misdiagnosed my daughter the caused her fear of going back. Dr. Li took a thorough review of my daughter's dental and medical history and shared step by step what the visit will entail. She talked my daughter through every part of the visit, and we were delighted. Dr. Li's bedside manners are unlike any dentist I have ever encountered - she's professional and personable at the same time. I even recommended my eldest son take her on as his dentist, and he has an appointment tomorrow. The whole family will be going to Dr. Li. read more

We were visiting NYC and staying at hotel down the street when my mom broke her front tooth. Called around and no one would help us. Finally called this office and they were super friendly and took us in and out my mom's tooth back on so that we could continue with our trip. Dr. Was super nice, honest and professional. Office was clean. Would recommend. read more

There are surely many great dentists in New York City -but there is only one Dr. Li. Does anybody like going to the dentist? Dr. Li will change that. Yes there maybe times of discomfort, novocaine, needles and drilling, but with Dr. Li it seems less painful, why? because she is a real joy to be around. She makes you feel comfortable. She shows personal interest. She makes you feel at ease. She is gentle but yet very thorough with her work. She is constantly taking classes to keep up with industry standards, new techniques and products. She has a very kind staff. She's not only a great physician but will become a good friend. My wife and I have been clients for over 5 years and are happy that she and her family are here in New York trying hard to keep all our smiles bright. Xiè xie Dr. Wen-Li and the Bella Dental team! read more

LOOK NO FURTHER, DR. LI-CAVALLO IS THE RIGHT DENTIST FOR YOU!! Dr. Li-Cavallo is LITERALLY THE BEST! She's professional, friendly, and most important of all, she cares about the patient! I had my wisdom tooth extraction done with her, as well as my routine cleaning. I use to HATE the dentist sooo much, just thinking about it makes me nervous. She makes sure to ensure that I was comfortable at ALL times by constantly asking if I was okay, and if I felt any pain, I can let her know. The staff there are great! They are all so friendly and patient! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! read more

Dr. Li and her staff are incredibly attentive, kind, and professional. Kitty at the front desk is very quick and smart, she assists you almost immediately. I have been to over 10 dentists in the NYC area and Dr. Li is by far the best. She's courteous, quick witted, and friendly. Most of all, the procedures were completely painless. Her expertise is top notch and the office is very comfortable. I finally found a dentist that I will be going to for probably the rest of my life! read more

Great place! Dr. Li cares about my teeth more than me. Friendly staff and place is clean and they practice covid safety

Amazing service! They were incredibly kind to my younger sister and provided care that was affordable and helpful!

After reading so many great reviews, I was so sure this place was too good to be true! If anyone is more afraid of the dentist, its me. Dr. Li Cavallo is an amazing Dentist. I was petrified to come in for my appointment, but when I got there the entire staff was so warm and friendly, I felt like I had a whole support team there with me. I've had really bad experiences with the Dentist and try to push off my routine visits. After this visit with Dr. Li, I actually look forward to my next cleaning without being afraid and canceling. This was my least painful dental experience ever. I will be following her where ever she goes, She is amazing!! read more

This is my story of how I found Dr. Li-Cavallo. I was stressed out and freaking out about my temporary crown that crack from biting too hard into a mango seed while I was at work. Yes, you read that right, a mango seed. I wanted to crawl under a giant rock and cry. I actually went home and cried under my giant security blank. I refused to go back to my orthodontist, who shall not be named, who did the initial crown work on me. He just lost his touch and didn't seem to care about the quality of his work anymore. After I ran out of tears to cry I went on ZocDoc and went on an epic, dizzying quest to find a dentist who would be the right fit for me and who would take my crappy dental insurance. The cracked-tooth and puffy-eyed me eventually found Dr. Li-Cavallo's profile. Dr. Li-Cavallo is simply AMAZING! She explained more to me about my oral health condition than any other dentist I ever visited. Apparently, my orthodontist pretty much butchered the gum tissue surrounding my problem tooth. My gum was inflamed for a year! With two visits, Dr. Li carefully treated the gum area to make sure were stabilized and good shape before she did any crown work. She is very METICULOUS about every detail! For example, the crown arrived from the dental lab (one of the top dental labs in the country, BTW), but she was not satisfied with the product and sent it back with more detailed information of what she wanted to the dental technicians. I'm glad she did! My crown is beautiful and blends in with the rest of my teeth for a natural look. I even smile a lot more now, which is . Her team at Bella Dental are also great and super nice. Ashley, Semana, Kelly, and Evelyn are all really great and nice to talk to. This dental office does not overbook patients in a day so that you're not waiting hours for your turn. This is good because this allows the team and Dr. Li to give you a little more privacy, comfort, and attention. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. I even referred my boyfriend to Dr. Li! If you're looking for a dentist then look no further- I found one for you. You're welcome. read more

This is by far the best dental office I've been to! Dr. Li is super friendly and professional! The whole staff is friendly too and make you feel comfortable during your whole visit! By the way me and my Dad make special trip from Midland Park New Jersey to her office and all worth it. I will definitely recommend this place to my family and friends! read more

Dr. Li-Cavallo and staff are the most attentive, thorough and caring dental health care providers in New York City! I was worried after a few years of going to average or below average dentists in the city that there aren't any dentists that care much anymore. Good thing I found her. She's at a super convenient location in lower Manhattan and I get the best dental care now. Woot! read more

Dr. Li and her staff are phenomenal. Every visit feels very welcoming and I leave looking forward to a next appointment. First the staff preps the tools and chair. They're all so friendly and ensures you're comfortable for the session. Next, Dr. Li comes and states what will be done plus handles any final preparations. For example, first time I went, super sensitive gums and had numbing gel applied. Second visit onwards, she makes sure to apply ample numbing gel before a cleaning procedure. Exceptional care taking and very much appreciated. After a session, she explains what's improved and what needs to improve for dental health. Perhaps an updated x-ray review, if applicable. Last but not least, creating an appointment at the front desk before leaving. Additionally, a very valued factor, all my appointment times rarely require waiting. If so, I hardly roll past an additional 10 minutes in waiting time. They make certain patients are seen on time. A super big plus if you experienced long waits at clinics (don't deny, in NYC that's standard!) read more

Today was my first visit to Bella Dental. Dr. Li-Cavallo was one of the most knowledgeable, kind and caring dentist in NYC! Her explanations are very clear and warm and I was able to relax during procedure. I already set up my cleaning at the end of this month and really look forward to her service. I will definitely recommend Bella Dental! read more

I've never written a review on Yelp before. But this was such a good experience. I haven't always enjoyed dentist visits. I usually go into them with anxiety because of past bad experiences. Dr. Li-Cavallo was amazing. She was personable, attentive, genuinely interested in hearing what I had to say before she started work on me. As a result, when she started the work, I was relaxed and comfortable. She did great work as well. Very competent, very intelligent and very easy to work with. That's the first time in my life I've said that about a dentist. read more

Best dentist in the city! Dr Li-Cavallo is the best, as well as the staff. Great service. read more

I was originally matched with Dr. Li Cavallo after calling to find a weekend appointment somewhere in the city after having lived here for over three years without a dentist visit! That was in 2009, and we've since moved to Brooklyn, but we still make the trek every few months and continue to recommend her to all of our friends! read more

Dr. Wen Li-Cavallo was great. My cleaning was the most painless I've ever had; she explained that it was because she moves quickly before the nerves have time to react. She also took the time to explain my dental condition, pointing out issues but assuring me that they could be solved with self-care, rather than trying to scare me into treatment plans. I walked out with a nifty toothbrush package and a happy mouth. PROS: Weekend hours; minimal wait time; careful work; great bedside manner. CON: the entryway and office are outdated (for those who mind that sort of thing). read more

Honestly when I saw all the good reviews I thought it was too good to be true and I am right. I came here for a buildup after a root canal procedure, my consultation with the doctor seemed okay. The receptionist was friendly at first but later I found her to be a nuisance. During my dental procedure, the receptionist barged into the room and interrupted the doctor about the doctor's child's homework. Then the doctor left the room while I had the suction left in my mouth with blood coming out. Her dental assistant felt uncomfortable and left the room as well... wtf? I was left like that for almost 10mins. Not to mention the doctor's child was running around the halls making a ruckus. The bedside manner is horrible, how could the doctor AND her assistant leave during the middle of my dental procedure? She came back into the room without apologizing and continued working on me and she didn't seem like she remembered where she left off at. When she started working on me again she started talking to her dental assistant about her life and would pause every once in awhile to look up and make eye contact with her. What made it worst was her receptionist outside had to chime into their conversation. I am appalled by their behavior, as a patient I would want my doctor to focus on the procedure instead of chit chatting. I am still traumatized by this and I'm left wondering if she botched up my tooth. By far this is the worst dental clinics I've ever been to. The doctor has her child in the office while her receptionist looks after her,I don't think she should have her child there at work because of all the interruptions and it's not a daycare. I find it very unprofessional at this place. read more

Great service as usual, 5 stars all around. Dr. Li-Cavallo is one of the most professional, knowledgeable and patient dentist I've had the fortune to met. I've been using her for years and each time, I'll tell myself to post a review but each time, life happens and I'll forget so here it is. My kids come here too and each time, no issues and no complaints. Highly recommend them! read more

She is amazing. She took the time to explain what was going on and has a real gentle touch. She uses some kind of cool pain wand that helps avoid the terrible needle for numbness. I had a root canal expertly done by her and she repaired a broken half tooth. She is patient, warm and kind. Her chair side manners are just wonderful. I am recommending everyone I know to go to her. It is a warm family environment and I feel so well taken care of and I love how clean and bright her office is! read more

Dr. Li is my long-time dentist and friend, I became her patient about 9 years ago when she was still a dental school student. She is excellent at what she does, and she is a very caring and responsible person. She accommodates patients' needs as much as she can, and she always calls to follow up after treatments. One thing I appreciate the most is that she never overbooks, so that I never wait long or worry that she would rush on me. Highly recommend to everyone, she will take good care of your teeth! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Li-Cavallo! I had a cleaning and x-rays taken. She and her receptionist were very friendly and professional. Dr. Li-Cavallo was very thorough, and it was the least painful cleaning I think I've ever had! She even took the time to explain my x-rays to me. I will definitely go to her from now on! read more

Dr Wen Li Cavallo is the best dentist. Her chairside humor and warm conversations get me through some of the toughest visits. I had an emergency root canal. The tooth was triggering migraines so I was nearly immobilized when my family brought me in. She saw me quickly and gave me a root canal that was painless. I know it sounds impossible but I left there with a smile after a root canal and a filling! She has a gentle touch. wait till you hear this! My next visit I had a bad toothache. I thought I needed a filling but she had to extract the wisdom tooth. I agreed because she is just the most comforting and experienced dentist! She numbed me and honestly it was just a few expert movements and the tooth was out!! I mean like a gnarly root tooth all the way in the back and she got that sucker out in one swift move. Now that's skill. And she has me laughing afterwards and comforted during the process. I love her! Go to her! Your welcome in advance!! read more

I am a non-resident person who lives outside the United States in Oman. I am registering specifically on Yelp to provide this review because I had such outstanding treatment from Dr. Li-Cavallo. During my vacation in the U.S. my tooth cracked while having a delicious meal at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Up-State New York. On the prompting of good reviews from the Internet, I travelled all the way to China Town for an appointment with the Bella Dental and their Dentist, Dr. Li-Cavallo. I wasn't disappointed. I am one who is really scared of dentists and has great anxiety. However, Dr Li-Cavallo made me very relaxed as she repaired the cracked tooth. Moreover, she did not use any needles with the anaesthetic, which I was thankful for. I was very happy with the service which was very affordable. I am so sad that I live outside the United States. But, if I have to do any major dental operation in the future, I will make sure I make a special trip and appointment to see Dr. Li-Cavallo. Thanks, Dr. Li-Cavallo!!! read more
