I read the good reviews and booked my appointment for my routine cleaning. To my disappointment, I found the office unsanitary and the ruckus from the Dentist's kids yelling screaming and crying in the office made my time uncomfortable. Uhhh, I am the biggest of all chicken sh*ts when it comes to any dental work. But, Dr Li, and her staff have done an amazing job at keeping me calm. She services all of my family members, and came highly recommended. Dr. Li and her entire staff were super understanding and not irritated by my paranoia's. Perhaps they get a kick out of it. I'm an over grown child with tattoos galore. People just don't understand it's not the same ! Haha Services were fast, I wasn't waiting forever in the waiting room for my appointment - like most places. She seemed honest, gentle and understanding. I paid a little over $500 with no insurance for a consolation, 2 cavity fillings, and a cleaning. I'm not sure if that's above or below average - but it seemed fair enough to me. I am also waiting for an Invisalign consultation which she did complimentary. Oh, and they're even so great - they gave me headphones to use, because I forgot mine, and I hate the sound of them working on my teeth. My daughter went to Dr. Li, and I can't begin to tell you how accommodating her front desk team and assistant were to us. They followed all proper COVID protocols, and the establishment was clean and quiet, and no wait. My daughter explained her past experiences with another traumatic dentist, and to top it all off; the dentist misdiagnosed my daughter the caused her fear of going back. Dr. Li took a thorough review of my daughter's dental and medical history and shared step by step what the visit will entail. She talked my daughter through every part of the visit, and we were delighted. I was petrified to come in for my appointment, but when I got there the entire staff was so warm and friendly, I felt like I had a whole support team there with me. This is my story of how I found Dr. Li-Cavallo. I was stressed out and freaking out about my temporary crown that crack from biting too hard into a mango seed while I was at work. Yes, you read that right, a mango seed. I wanted to crawl under a giant rock and cry. I actually went home and cried under my giant security blank. I refused to go back to my orthodontist, who shall not be named, who did the initial crown work on me. He just lost his touch and didn't seem to care about the quality of his work anymore. After I ran out of tears to cry I went on ZocDoc and went on an epic, dizzying quest to find a dentist who would be the right fit for me and who would take my crappy dental insurance. The cracked-tooth and puffy-eyed me eventually found Dr. Li-Cavallo's profile. Dr. Li-Cavallo is simply AMAZING! She explained more to me about my oral health condition than any other dentist I ever visited. Apparently, my orthodontist pretty much butchered the gum tissue surrounding my problem tooth. My gum was inflamed for a year! With two visits, Dr. Li carefully treated the gum area to make sure were stabilized and good shape before she did any crown work. She is very METICULOUS about every detail! For example, the crown arrived from the dental lab (one of the top dental labs in the country, BTW), but she was not satisfied with the product and sent it back with more detailed information of what she wanted to the dental technicians. I'm glad she did! My crown is beautiful and blends in with the rest of my teeth for a natural look. I even smile a lot more now, which is . Her team at Bella Dental are also great and super nice. Ashley, Semana, Kelly, and Evelyn are all really great and nice to talk to. This dental office does not overbook patients in a day so that you're not waiting hours for your turn. This is good because this allows the team and Dr. Li to give you a little more privacy, comfort, and attention. I actually look forward to going to the dentist now. Dr. Li and her staff are phenomenal. Every visit feels very welcoming and I leave looking forward to a next appointment. First the staff preps the tools and chair. They're all so friendly and ensures you're comfortable for the session. Next, Dr. Li comes and states what will be done plus handles any final preparations. For example, first time I went, super sensitive gums and had numbing gel applied. Second visit onwards, she makes sure to apply ample numbing gel before a cleaning procedure. Exceptional care taking and very much appreciated. After a session, she explains what's improved and what needs to improve for dental health. Perhaps an updated x-ray review, if applicable. Last but not least, creating an appointment at the front desk before leaving. Additionally, a very valued factor, all my appointment times rarely require waiting. Dr. Wen Li-Cavallo was great. My cleaning was the most painless I've ever had; she explained that it was because she moves quickly before the nerves have time to react. Honestly when I saw all the good reviews I thought it was too good to be true and I am right. I came here for a buildup after a root canal procedure, my consultation with the doctor seemed okay. The receptionist was friendly at first but later I found her to be a nuisance. During my dental procedure, the receptionist barged into the room and interrupted the doctor about the doctor's child's homework. Then the doctor left the room while I had the suction left in my mouth with blood coming out. Her dental assistant felt uncomfortable and left the room as well... wtf? I was left like that for almost 10mins. Not to mention the doctor's child was running around the halls making a ruckus. The bedside manner is horrible, how could the doctor AND her assistant leave during the middle of my dental procedure? She came back into the room without apologizing and continued working on me and she didn't seem like she remembered where she left off at. When she started working on me again she started talking to her dental assistant about her life and would pause every once in awhile to look up and make eye contact with her. What made it worst was her receptionist outside had to chime into their conversation. I am appalled by their behavior, as a patient I would want my doctor to focus on the procedure instead of chit chatting. I am still traumatized by this and I'm left wondering if she botched up my tooth. By far this is the worst dental clinics I've ever been to. The doctor has her child in the office while her receptionist looks after her,I don't think she should have her child there at work because of all the interruptions and it's not a daycare. She is amazing. She took the time to explain what was going on and has a real gentle touch. She uses some kind of cool pain wand that helps avoid the terrible needle for numbness. Dr Wen Li Cavallo is the best dentist. Her chairside humor and warm conversations get me through some of the toughest visits. I had an emergency root canal. The tooth was triggering migraines so I was nearly immobilized when my family brought me in. She saw me quickly and gave me a root canal that was painless. I know it sounds impossible but I left there with a smile after a root canal and a filling! She has a gentle touch. wait till you hear this! My next visit I had a bad toothache. I thought I needed a filling but she had to extract the wisdom tooth. I agreed because she is just the most comforting and experienced dentist! She numbed me and honestly it was just a few expert movements and the tooth was out!! I mean like a gnarly root tooth all the way in the back and she got that sucker out in one swift move. I am a non-resident person who lives outside the United States in Oman. I am registering specifically on Yelp to provide this review because I had such outstanding treatment from Dr. Li-Cavallo. During my vacation in the U.S. my tooth cracked while having a delicious meal at Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant in Up-State New York. On the prompting of good reviews from the Internet, I travelled all the way to China Town for an appointment with the Bella Dental and their Dentist, Dr. Li-Cavallo. I wasn't disappointed. I am one who is really scared of dentists and has great anxiety. However, Dr Li-Cavallo made me very relaxed as she repaired the cracked tooth. Moreover, she did not use any needles with the anaesthetic, which I was thankful for. I was very happy with the service which was very affordable. I am so sad that I live outside the United States.
