Lee is a great dentist with the exact type of bedside manner you need when you don't like seeing the dentist! Also great he happily squeezed me into his schedule on a few hours notice when I had wisdom tooth pain. His crew got me a referral and appointment to with an oral surgeon that day! Great experience read more

The billing department id TERRIBLE!!!!! I just was told I had to pay $540 for a treatment covered by insurance, if submitted properly, or my appointment for a cleaning in two days would be cancelled. This is the third time the billing department was screwed up. Time to fInd a new dentist. read more

The cleaning by the hygienist was adequate and the dentist asked thorough questions after my cleaning. However, what was off putting is when he asked me if I wanted the fluoride treatment. I said no (in my mind, if it was necessary, it would have been part of the cleaning). The dentist then preceded to ask me if I didn't want fluoride because of a financial hardship?! What would make a medical professional providing a service make such an assumption, and a very biased one at that??? Very insulting. This would be the first and last time I went here. read more

The dentists and dental hygienists are kind, professional, and great at their work. However, the rest of the office leaves much to be desired. I was not told of several co-pays due to the office no longer being on my insurance until they had piled up significantly and I had a large bill. I then requested a receipt and was sent incorrect paperwork. I replied requesting corrections several times, and went as far as specifically highlighting what I needed, and was continually sent incorrect paperwork until finally they simply stopped responding. As a result, I have a large copay bill that could have been covered by my FSA but now I will have to pay myself. The office was short staffed at this time, which I am sympathetic to, but giving themselves more work by sending me the wrong paperwork FOUR separate times is unacceptable, and it's an enormous shame to the excellent dentists and dental hygienists who work at this practice. I would have gladly continued going here and paying large copays if I could be sure I would get the correct paperwork to have them covered via my FSA, and am in fact very sad that I will not be able to continue going here. read more

I came to Dr. Gold based on a recommendation from a friend. The hygienist was thorough and not chatty. Dr. Gold has a calm demeanor and is very matter of fact. He's very knowledgeable and is willing to explain things. I have to go back for a cavity filling sadly, but I feel like I'll be in good hands. read more

Lee Gold, DDS - General Dentistry Near Me - New York, New York

Fabulous Place and oh so lovely ppl working there! Friendly, Professional, Courteous and Funny! Great Experience!

No wait. Everyone in office is lovely. Dr. Gold is great. Not going to push unnecessary dental procedures on you, but was completely thorough. Highly recommend! read more

I've been going to Dr. Gold for 6+ years and have recommended him to all my friends. He is the most kind, gentle, HONEST dentist and will never try sell you extra dental work that's not needed. The office has a relaxing atmosphere and plays great music. Most importantly, the office is easy to get ahold of (the office number goes directly to the receptionist), you speak to the same person each time, and they call you back when they say they will. This might seem basic - but I can assure you that's not the case for many NYC healthcare facilities. I've never had a bad experience here and would highly recommend Dr. Gold and his team to anyone looking for a pleasant, hassle-free experience. read more

My daughter and I have been going to Dr Gold for years and can't recommend him enough. In the past we both were nervous about dentist visits, but from our initial appointments Dr Gold (and his great staff) made us feel comfortable and welcome. Dr Gold is gentle, keeps you informed about what he's doing and thoroughly explains how to best proceed if you need further work. The first question a lot of people searching for a dentist often ask is "But is he expensive?" Dr Gold is fair. He takes credit cards and offers payment options that are well worth taking advantage of. And finally, Dr Gold is just a really nice person. read more

After trying multiple dentists in NYC, I was pleasantly surprised to finally find a dentist that treats you like a human being and not just another patient coming through the door! Dr. Gold is personable and friendly and seems to have the patients' best interest at hand. The last time I visited Dr. Gold for a follow-up appointment, I was very late but was surprised when they still managed to squeeze me in regardless of time. The receptionist at the front desk is very helpful and friendly too. Everyone that works there in general seems much more friendly and inviting than other doctor/dentist experiences I've had in the past. I'd definitely recommend :) read more

As someone who despises a trip to the dentist, I was apprehensive about trying someone new after I became dissatisfied with my current practitioner. But I was pleasantly surprised after my first visit with Dr. Gold! His staff are incredibly friendly, accommodating and make you feel completely at ease. It's such a rare thing to find in any medical office, and I was so impressed with their attentiveness to every single patient. Knowing I was nervous about my first cleaning, the dental hygienist continually checked in on me to ensure I was comfortable. In my subsequent visits, other hygienists were equally as attentive. Dr. Gold was as great as his staff. He was patient during each and every appointment, taking the time to explain any procedures, the steps involved, and what to expect during and after. Having a filling and crown put in is never fun, but it certainly made things easier to have him provide clear expectations. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone in NYC! read more

so glad I was able to find this place through Yelp. Dr. Gold goes above and beyond to make sure you are feeling comfortable (yes huge needles and unidentified objects scare me) and I have never felt more safe and ok with dental procedures until my experience here. Like all the other reviewers, he is super professional, kind, and knowledgeable. I have also never waited more than 3 mins (literally) for my appointment and the staff are all very accommodating and super friendly. best.dentist.ever. read more

Highly recommend (and I've done a lot of research to look for a dentist)!! EXCELLENT experience! Hands-down best time at the dentist - and I am extra terrified of dental work, especially needles. NO PAIN WHATSOEVER! Dr. Gold made damn sure I was comfortable, and checked in on me every other minute. He also explained the procedure during the entire time, telling me what tools he's using and why. He managed my expectations really well, and took care of any unknown. He also really took the time to let each stages of anesthetics sink in, made sure that it didn't hurt, which I didn't go through beforehand with any other dentists. You know a doctor is human when they start talking about their kids, vacation, anything else but work as well! Great conversations with him while we waited for the anesthetic to set in! read more

I found Dr. Gold through Yelp and I'm so glad I did. The office was able to get me in on short notice, which was awesome. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth was very nice and did an incredible job. It has been a really long time since I went to the dentist and she really impressed me. Dr. Gold was very friendly and the whole experience was wonderful. The office is really beautiful as well. read more

Dr. Gold is is really a one of a kind! Any time I hear someone talking about needing to see a dentist I can't help but gush about how fantastic he is. I'm taking the credit for referring Abe H. to him. Dr. Gold, his staff and the office itself are so welcoming--they immediately put you at ease. I've had some traumatic dental encounters in the past and now it's such a relief to actually have a dentist who I *want* to go visit! Seriously, even if you think you have a "good" dentist you should switch to Dr. Gold--you won't regret it. ;) read more

After about one visit per month for 2013 (9 cavities after 9 years of never going to the dentist - ug), I have to say that I feel like I can count Dr. Gold and his staff as buddies. And of course that dog, whose name I can never remember... While they are personable, knowledgable and experienced, I can tell Dr. Gold and his staff are also actually sincere people. I like that. It makes me trust them. For example, monthly visits can get pricey, but Dr. Gold was able and willing to work with me to determine which ones were urgent and which could, for the moment, wait. This allowed me to spread out fillings so that I was able to afford them, and now I have a healthy smile once more. Each and every single visit has probably been the best experience at a medical practitioner's office so far in my life. I kind of want to chip a tooth, or hope for a cavity to see them again. Definitely looking forward to my 6-month cleanings. read more

Dr. Gold is the man. He's a very personable character who will explain everything he's doing so that you can feel at ease. He even gave me a mirror to see what my tooth looked like pre-filling because I sounded interested in the procedure. His staff is very friendly and punctual. There's also a pretty big dog in the office (that I think belongs to someone else) that doesn't do much. But it's very fluffy. read more

I have been going to Dr Lee for five years and i have to say he is truly amazing. Everyone there is so attentive and friendly. I would recommend him to anybody. He has an amazing staff. As scary as a dentist sounds i always look forward to my next appointment. Give him a try you wont regret it. read more

Love Dr. Gold! I've been going to him for over 5 years and he takes great care of my teeth, never requires exams or work that is not needed (even though I have insurance) and I trust him. His whole team, from the receptionist to the hygienist are all great, and they seem happy to work there, so their attitude is friendly and super welcoming. All my interactions with this office, whether in person or on the phone have been great. Oh, and they play cool music in this office (no muzac here!!). Highly recommend him! read more

Dr. Gold and his staff are the best! They have been so helpful with scheduling and kind when i've had multiple emergencies come up the day of appointments. Dr. Gold has filled multiple cavities/ repaired other people's botched work and I am still saying the whole office gets 5 stars after those less than pleasant experiences. Highest recommendation possible! read more

Can't say enough good things about Dr. Gold and his staff. I chose this location based on its proximity to my apartment and excellent Yelp reviews, and the reviews were right! The hygienists are thorough and helpful, and Dr. Gold is great. I can't speak for anything more than a cleaning as I am fortunate to have excellent dental health but I would not hesitate to go to Dr. Gold for a more complicated procedure. Highly recommend! read more

This place is so wonderful. I haven't had to get any major work done - so I really can't speak for their oral surgery type skills. But everyone in the office is wonderfully nice and very accommodating. I've never waited more than a couple of minutes for my appointments. The office is beautiful and very relaxing. Dr. Gold is super cool. Everyone there listens to you. They don't try to get you to do things that you don't need to do. And they might even help you out a little if you have a problem affording something that you really need... ;) Definitely give this place a shot. read more

Was impressed and relaxed as soon as I walked in. Soothing modern office, super friendly receptionist. Everyone I interacted with was nice, friendly and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. There's not a lot pleasant about a dentist appointment, but they did everything possible to try and make it so. X-ray technician was gentle, took her time. Dr. Gold was awesome. Really comforting. Took the time to review my xrays with me and explain everything in detail. Straightforward, yet empathetic. I found my new dentist! read more

So I have the biggest fear of going to the dentist, but really needed to get a painful tooth looked at. I called Dr. Gold's office and when they found it was a bit of an emergency they saw me the same day. First impression when I walked in: "What a cool dentist office", and then he came out and introduced himself. He has to be one of the most pleasant and comforting dentists I've ever been to. He treats you like a friend not a patient an explains everything that needs to be done throughout the visit. Great Dentist! read more

AMAZING!! Super helpful office staff. Dr. Gold is so nice and personable, as well as a great dentist! I had to have a lot of work done and he was awesome every step of the way. Cannot say enough good things about him! read more

The two stars as per Yelp mean "Meh. I've experienced better." And in fact, I have -from this very dentist. I've been coming here for about 5 years, and previously recommended him to everyone I know because of his excellent bedside manner, his clear communication of what issues do and do not need further treatment, and his seemingly genuine urge to give top quality care. However, over the past couple visits, service seems to be slipping into the back seat. I see less and less of Dr. Gold himself, and more of the hygienist. This is generally ok as he always comes in at the end to check her work. *However*, on this last visit for a cleaning and checkup, when I arrived I was told Dr. Gold was not in for the day, but he would be sure to look at my x-rays online and get back to me if there were any problems. I would expect to know this before coming in so I could have the option of rescheduling. The hygienist had no bedside manner, communicated no concern for the quality of my care (did she even know my name?), and for the first time ever in a cleaning, did not floss my teeth. In fact, the whole thing took about 15 minutes, which was a bit surprising given I hadn't been in for a cleaning in over a year. I never did hear back from Dr. Gold, so I suppose I should assume that the x-rays were in order. If I'm not going to get a once over from him in person, it felt like I could have had the same treatment by picking the closest possible dentist, instead of looking for the best. read more

So I don't think I've ever reviewed a Dentist before? This place was just amazing, literally the staff was awesome, it had such an easy going vibe for a dentist office, Dr. Gold was so nice to me, I had a million questions, was really scared etc etc, b/c well I'm afraid of the dentist. He is awesome will totally be back.... read more

Best dentist I have EVER had. Excellent demeanor, conservative in his approach (meaning, he won't chop up your teeth or prescribe ridiculous treatments if they're not necessary). He's gentle and aware of your comfort. If you're shy of dentist-going, he's certainly the one to help. I mean, really, you almost feel like you're entering a spa on account of the terrarium builders with whom he shares a floor, and the treatment you get from the staff makes you feel important, cared for, and prioritized. Highly recommend. read more

Dr. Gold has easily the best technique of any dentist I have ever seen. I had six cavities filled and did not feel discomfort at any point in the procedure, even when he was initially administering novocaine. He is engaging and checked throughout the appointment to make sure I was still comfortable and pain free. His entire staff is responsive and friendly, too. He has my highest recommendation - I won't even consider another dentist again. read more

Great dentist, awesome office staff.

Amazing, super chill fun laid back place to hang, Dr. Gold is kind and very professional. Definitely has a clean "downtown" boutique vibe to it. Go here if you want to avoid a creepy antiseptic joint. read more

I had to have extensive work done--an old bridge replaced and two new crowns made--and went to Dr. Gold based on recommendations from co-workers. I have never been more impressed with a doctor. I wish he did more than teeth, because I would feel comfortable seeing him for anything. My insurance covered only a part of the procedure but his office were happy to work out a very accommodating payment plan, and I could not possibly be happier with the finished product. I will see Dr. Gold for as long as I have teeth :) read more

Best dentist I've encountered in my 20+ years in New York. Dr. Gold is great with the regular dental work as he is with any treatments you may need and will not prescribe anything unreasonable that will keep you coming back and rack up bills.
