I've been Dr. Loflin's patient since 2010. I can say that he is an outstanding dentist, with great knowledge, experience. He is very gentle, kind. I've never had pain when I visit him. For me, the most beautiful quality is that he is extremely ethical. Would never force any dental work that is not necessary. A previous dentist told me I needed work on a tooth. Estimated to $2,000.00. Dr. Loflin had moved and I didn't know where his new office was. Luckily, I was thrilled to locate him. I went back to see him. He took X-rays of my tooth from every side, with a lot of attention. My tooth had no damage. I did not need the work. He could have agreed with the other, done unnecessary work and scam me out of $2,000.00. I know that he cares about me and does his best for me. I've sent a few people to him and they all "love" him. Outstanding care from start to finish. I had a bit of an emergency about a month ago that coincided w/my regular dentist's retirement. After extensive research, I settled on Dr. Loflin & I can't stress enough how great of a decision that turned out to be. My experience began w/the lovely Jasmine who answered all of my questions & concerns when I initially called. On the phone & in person, I can't stress enough how amazing she is to the experience. To say she is knowledgable & pleasant is an understatement. Then I met Dr. Loflin who also was extremely pleasant, explained the entire process in detail & took his time to make sure that my crown was perfectly fitted & that I was free of any discomfort. A first for me, Dr. Loflin also personally reached out the following day to check up on me & make sure that all was well. His attention to detail throughout the entire process was literally perfect. Dr.Loflin's and staff take care of me amazingly. Im 23 and have no dental insurance with a low budget, but the team always accommodates me by allowing me to do only what i can afford and breaking up my dental care into individual sessions. They do not upsell or do more procedures than necessary, and most of all its a clean, safe and extremely comforting environment. The staff never ever seem frustrated with my low budget or having to separate my appointments by what i can afford. They work with me and help so much. They have amazing pain management skills and i have never been hurt or felt any substantial pain during procedures! Cleanings, and fillings have always felt like a breeze with them. They even have windows that face central park which is beautiful. They also have some cool technology that allows you to get fitted for nightgaurds without using that gross pink paste! Just a simple scan! It also gives you a 3D model of your teeth to keep track of your dental history. Dr.lofflin is incredibly easy to reach via phone/ text which takes out the waiting game when in a dental emergency or even just to check to see if something isnt right. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I'm a new patient who needed to catch up on cleanings. Really nice office and rooms have views of the park. They also use cool tech to scan your mouth and create a digital visual of your teeth. There are two experiences with Dr. Loflin i want to share that might be relevant for everyone: 1. Dr Loflin never rushes you into any procedure. My previous experiences with dentists in new york was bad, most pushing for surgeries that would get max out of insurance. Dr Loflin explained the situation and severity and then left it upto me to decide the timing. I never felt pushed into any procedure 2. After my last wisdom tooth extraction, i developed a dry socket. Dr loflin followed up regularly, making time daily to see me and messaging me to check how I was doing. This patient empathy is rare. I found Dr. Loflin through a referral from Dr. Jason Chubak, a wonderful endodontist. I was right to trust the recommendation - Dr. Loflin is an excellent dentist and the whole office is a pleasure to work with. Dr. Loflin explains medical terminology in an accessible way (and with a smile), walks you through the logistics and costs of each option, favors a conservative approach instead of pushing invasive work, and perhaps most importantly takes patient feedback and experiences into account. I've found his dental work to be non-painful and speedy, including more serious procedures like crowns. And Dr. Loflin himself is a cheerful, reassuring dentist, which makes dentist visits a pleasure (not usually the case!). The office is gorgeous, clean, and overlooks Central Park. Dr. Loflin came to me after a bad experience with another known doctor. The other known doctor over ordered panoramic x-rays, told me I had a cavity on a tooth when determined later I did not, and stated there was no infection but a different doctor at this other doctor's site had told me there was highly likely an infection, which quickly resolved by antibiotics. Dr. Loflin made me feel comfortable after this emotional experience for me that had made me question the healthcare dental system in NYC. It took me a long time to find a good practice. I felt Dr. Loflin's entire team was also helpful even during my 4 wisdom teeth extraction. Dr. Loflin extensively talked to me about my dental issues, even more so than my previous providers. Dr. Loflin was also beyond accommodating, and to say the least he went above the extra mile compared to what the average dental provider would be willing to do. He certainly loves his profession and wants the best for his patients. Dr. Loflin's compassion, empathy, professionalism, and thorough treatment plan for me certainly deserves this EXCELLENT review. I went back last week for a cleaning and check up. Dr. Loflin had done a crown for me last year. Going to his office, is not a trip to the dentist. It's a trip to a spa! From the moment you walk in till you walk out, you are treated like royalty. Jasmine, the Office Manager, greets you with a smile. Offers you bottled water or an espresso. Without a wait, she ushers you into a room with a sweeping view of Central Park. WOW! But most importantly, in addition to the water, the royal treatment and the view, this dentist has a state of the art technology. All is done, digitally and painlessly! You see everything that is being done to you on the screen: X-rays, fillings, crowns, ALL. Meanwhile, the doctor smiles at you and explains what he is doing in your mouth. Both, he and Jasmine make perfect eye contact with you when they talk to you. I mean... unlike most medical staff and doctors whose eyes are fixed on the computer when they are with you. Then comes the actual treatment: X-rays, dental exam and cleaning. Superb! No pain or even discomfort. And last, but not least. Have you been to dentists who see your mouth as a profit center, suggesting treatment plans for thousands of dollars? (I have!) Well, Dr. Loflin NEVER does that. Jasmine agrees with you on a reasonable price (I paid out-of-pocket), and she honors the agreement. There is never a surprise.
