If it's possible to enjoy a visit to the dentist then soho smile is the place. Dr. John and his staff are without a doubt the crème de La crème. Superior in every way. read more

Dr John and the entire staff at Soho Smile are amazing! I love coming to this dentist- everyone is so warm and friendly. The space is stylish, clean, and beautiful and it's truly relaxing. You can watch movies and relax while your teeth get cleaned. I did try another place that was closer to me but the service wasn't the same and I was pressured to buy Invisalign. It definitely made me come running back to Dr John and his beautiful wife Maria and it was wonderful to see Valerie again! She remembered a lot of details from my last visit and is just a really nice person. Dr John made a night guard for me (because I grind my teeth ) that's lasted for years. They don't pressure and guilt me about fluoride treatments. I trust them. I was told I had a cavity at another dentist and I think they were just trying to drill. I've never had that experience here- it's so important to find a dentist that you trust and I've found that with Dr John. Everyone at Soho a Smile is helpful and caring and I've brought my husband there and will bring my daughter next time! It's a great location with the highest level of service. Even though we're moving, I will schedule my dentist visits for when I'm back in NYC because they're worth it! read more

I was terrified if dentists. Dr. John not only made my experience as EASY possible, it was enjoyable! He's a friendly man with a fantastic bedside manner and his dental assistants are just as phenomenal. For 8 top fillings he had to patiently do for me, we made it with ease. Would recommend over just about anybody! read more

Nice place.. Cute staff(specially the billing Lady) but very expensive. My consultation was covered under my insurance but the treatment needed was to be paid out of pocket! Never heard from them after trying to get a better price for 4 veneers each priced at 3000$ there. I'm not saying he does a bad job but I did not feel the personal caring touch that other places give when dealing with dental work. Who we all know can be a little frustrating when trying to find a well seasoned, professional, and caring dentist. I found another dentist of the same caliber with the same dental cosmetic background and associations. 2300$ for each veneer with great reviews. So if you are going the SS be ready to pay BIG $$$$. If not you will be ignored. Good luck! And don't forget to do research on the dentist and read reviews. read more

You will love going to the dentist!!! First of all, I am Russian (born there and lived there till I was 8) what this means is that I am eternally scared and scared of the dentist. Lest just say mother Russia did not have the best or nicest dental techniques. Anyway- fast forward to my 20's and 30's where my dentist visits were costly, exhausting, misleading and yes painful. I do not have perfect teeth, so by the time I met Dr. John I needed 4 crowns (Its a bit odd sharing my dental health records on a public forum, but I think its important because it is very difficult to find a great dentist and if you do- you must share- they are rare). So, okay, 4 crowns, also needed several fillings and a root canals (he has a specialist in the office for that). I had gotten a bad root canal and a bad bridge from another dentist. I met Dr John because i was working with a model who had perfect teeth, when I asked her about them she mentioned that Dr John did her veneers. So I went to their office. WOW! First of all this is unlike any dental office you have ever seen- its amazing, beautiful, clean, comfortable (it doesn't even have that dental smell we all hate- and get this- he has such great equipment there are very limited drill sounds). Maria, Dr. Johns wife is amazing, she helps run the office and honestly she just a wonderful person, she makes you feel comfortable, and like her husband she truly cares. The rest of the staff is super professional, and give you a dental goodie bag when you leave. Long story short- its been 4 years going to Dr. John. Read the list: He has saved two of my teeth Done 5 crowns that look and feel amazing Did my husbands veneers My sisters veneers Several cavities (NO YOU WILL NOT FEEL THE SHOTS) Treated my father in laws teeth My moms crowns And my 4 year old niece just had her first visit with him Treated10 cavities for one of my employees Know this- (and I learned this the hard way) - you'll pay a little (little) bit more maybe then you would from some hall in the wall dentist- but you wont pay the price later. Your teeth will look, feel and function perfectly. Your health and your comfort is well worth it! Go to him for check ups, cleanings, and especially veneers and cavities. read more

Best dentist I've been to. Initially went to them because they're right down the street and they took my insurance. I was surprised at how good the customer service and experience was. No pain, TV in the room, nice ambience. Looking forward to my next appointment! read more

Dr John has a masterful hand and nothing hurts he aslo has the most state often art equipment, making work faster, easier and just better Thank you Dr John, Maria and the entire Soho Smile staff - you are incredible See you for the next cleaning read more

This was more like a trip to the spa than the dentist. The facilities calming and beautiful and you get to pick a movie to watch while having your teeth cleaned. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and detailed in their examination. Highly recommend! read more

Thank you . I read https://www.dtimplants.com/dental-implants-mission-district/ and here there is information for dental implants

This place charges FAR too much! Additionally, their services are not thorough enough! They cannot be trusted.

A wonderful dentist office with a fantastic staff. The office itself is beautiful and brand new and the hygienist was spectacular. The cleaning was painless and thorough. I watched a movie during the whole thing. Dr. John was so kind, helpful and knowledgable. The best dentist I've met. I will be returning here forever and telling all of my friends about it. You won't be disappointed. read more

Soho Smile and staff have managed to transform dentistry (an inherently unappealing subject for many) into an unpretentious and completely appealing spa-like experience. The entire staff is lovely, friendly and kind; Dr John is really talented and compassionate. Add in massage chairs and movie screens to lull you while you get work done, and who wouldn't want to go? I actually look forward to my visits! read more

Loved it here! When I moved to Manhattan from Rockaway post Sandy, I was sad to leave my dentist there, but this place was great! The staff was pleasant and the place was spotless. Cleanliness is something I look for in a dentist, especially after the stuff going down with the dentist in Oklahoma!! What other dentist do you get a working massage chair and your pick of movie or tv show to watch while they work? AND they are so gracious about checking in with your insurance about what is covered/not covered. Very unpretentious. read more

Going to a dentist has never been a pleasant experience for me - I like body parts in my mouth, but not when they involve drills. At Soho Smile, they will change your perception of the dental experience. As soon as you walk into the building you're instantly put at ease with wonderful smelling candles and a super hospitable front desk staff. Both of the times that I have gone I have not waited longer than five minutes, which is some kind of voodoo magic, before a hygienist came to get me. They took me down the stairs, past more spa-like decor, to a small room with a massage chair, flat screen and database of hundreds of movies and television shows. My first visit involved a routine cleaning and check-up, my second visit was for a filling of a pretty deep cavity. I was considerably nervous, since it was my first time having chucks of decay excavated from the back of my mouth, but Dr. John (and his obvious expertise) completed the procedure with absolutely no pain on my part. The assistant brought me a hot towel to wipe my hands with, and I was on my way. Have referred many to Dr. John, and will continue to do so; he is kind, knowledgeable and his office exudes beauty and style. read more

Dr. John is so talented. I'm obsessed w my teeth & my smile now! Best money I ever spent! Cute, young dr too! The staff (Maria, Marina & Lauren) are so sweet, tend to any needs, make you feel comfortable. It's located in a spa so it's always a relaxing experience :) read more

I live in Long Island and i had other Dentists and they were about making money and in 10-15 minutes they will tell you that your cleaning is done you might need to get additional services which is not covered by your company insurance bla bla .. I hate those dentist when they just want to make bill even i have healthy teeth.. So I give Soho Smile 5 out of 5 Stars try them you will not go anywhere else... read more

I love Soho Smile so much that I have sent three of my friends there already! Seriously, this place is more like a spa than a dentist's office. First off, it is actually located in a spa, the SoHo Integrative Health Center. You sit in a massage chair, put on headphones, and watch the DVD of your choice while getting your teeth cleaned. I actually sometimes forget I'm at the dentist! Dr. John is super friendly, talented, and yes, he is also very hot. Marina, the dental hygienist, is extremely nice as well. She nags you about flossing in the nicest way possible. :) On top of all this, they sent me away with a little gift bag and a handwritten thank you note. Go here. You won't regret it. read more

Recommended by a friend. Great people working here that just want you to be comfortable going to the dentist. They also tried to help me with my scam of an insurance. They go the extra mile. They make sure to explain everything thoroughly and are concerned for your well-being overall. Smart dentist and staff. Also cool space and view. read more

I've been a patient for nine years now. Dr. John, his hygienist & staff continue to be consistent with quality care & service.

Dr. John and his team are the best. I've been going to him for a few years after he came highly recommended from a colleague. I've been going to the dentist 2x per year my entire life and I'm terrified of anything beyond a cleaning due to my highly sensitive teeth. After putting a couple of old fillings on watch, the time came to have them replaced. Dr. John took great care in understanding my anxiety, and it was the first time I've had a filling done where I've not felt any sensitivity during, or after the procedure. Go see him. read more

Since I wrote my original review, they have moved to a new office, still in Soho, now on Spring Street. While their last office was quite nice, the new office blew me away. Tons of natural light, all brand new construction (they had it custom designed and built out from scratch to meet their needs), beautifully appointed, and still the same great skills, personnel and service. And still the huge movie selection and noise-canceling earphones to let you zone out while they do their thing. Great work guys! read more

Really impressed with this office -- I found them just by a basic google maps search. Dr. Koutsoyiannis is super friendly, and his staff is incredibly nice and communicative. The office itself is spotless and bright. Major bonus for the movies during a cleaning! I couldn't believe I got to watch a movie while my plac was removed. I also like the good, practical advice Dr. K and his hygienist gave for clean teeth. read more

This place is the best. I would recommend Dr. John and company to ANYONE AND EVERYONE. I can't believe I'm saying this, but actually look forward to going. read more

Life changing... Dr. John made me a night guard that eliminated my head & jaw pain. I can actually sleep at night & wake up pain free! Not only is he incredibly talented, but he's incredibly nice... as is his entire staff. Never thought I'd look forward to going to the dentist! read more

Going to the dentist is actually pretty enjoyable when you're heading to Soho Smile. Everyone is so nice and personable there so you feel right at home. The facility is state of the art with DVDs and everything. When you're getting work done you feel more like you're sitting in your living room instead of in a dentists chair. Maria is great at handling the insurance company so I haven't once had to call them. Marina has handled all my tooth emergency emails superbly, calming me down from panic mode. I've been to a few dentists in various countries, but nobody has earned my trust like Dr. John. Dr. John breaks everything down for you and provides evidence of his past accomplishments so you know you're in good hands. He tries to get everything perfect at the least cost and effort on your part. For example, if you get Invisalign done with them, he'll sell you the teeth whitener at cost and explain how to apply it using your trays so that you don't have to pay them to do it in the office. More recently, after I got my veneers done a silly drunken friend of mine accidentally slammed a glass into them chipping one. Dr. John generously fixed it taking only the insurance coverage as payment. He really is on the side of his patients. read more
