I had a DELICIOUS giant vegan calzone! It has both vegan mozzarella and vegan ricotta. The vegan menu is HUGE.

I've been eating at Claire's since 1977.. when my mother(not vegetarian at the time) was pregnant…read morewith me she ate here religiously on her lunch breaks. I swear that's why I've always loved tofu! And I'm mostly vegan now the past 28 years, and my mother the past 12. This place is a staple in New Haven and testament to their good food for staying open all these years. When Claire's first opened vegetarian restaurants weren't a thing, and over the years the menu has shifted.. but it's always good. For me it's home cooking style, comfort food.. they have their own style. This place was around before everyone was freaking out about carbs.. thank god! I never leave without a cookie and a muffin for later.. they're the best! I recently got hooked on the Sunbuttter cookie, and also enjoy the Lithuanian coffee cake muffin. Soups and salads come with the classic Claire mini loaf! A delicious buttery(is it vegan? don't know) mini loaf of bread, just as tasty as I remember it from my childhood. Their oat milk Matcha Lattes are creamy and they don't slack on the matcha. The service is always friendly and helpful. The menu accommodates vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free options as well. enjoy!

We decided to go to Love it Vegan before a show at The Warner (it is directly across the street)…read moreand were absolutely thrilled with our meal! My husband and I are not vegan, but I am seriously lactose intolerant and limit animal products for health reasons. We brought my brother-in-law who has a serious dairy allergy. The staff was amazing. You felt welcome the second you sat down. They were so kind to my brother-in-law (who has special needs) and happily explained and accommodated him without a second thought. It's beyond comforting to have an entire menu we don't have to worry will cause an allergic reaction. The food was excellent. As I said, we are not vegan, but we will be returning time and time again. The honey mustard and fries may be my new favorite comfort food. They were perfection! I had the steak and cheese and it was in awe of the flavor AND a great cheese on top. The strawberry cupcake I would get a million more times. Simple and sweet. The restaurant collaborated with JP Farm Sanctuary so you can see the pictures of their animals hanging around the restaurant. There is also local art. Very impressed. This was BEYOND needed in Litchfield County.

2 words: Eat here!…read more We swooped in out of nowhere with a party of 8. What a great find. We had 2 pescatarian/vegans and 6 omnivores + one tree nut allergy. Everyone was so so happy. Delicious juice blends to start. Amazing buffalo cauliflower - our server said it was the best and we agree! Not the soggy, dough-laden stuff you normally get. Crisp and light and wonderful buffalo sauce. Fried oyster mushrooms - great! We had a mix of sandwiches - all great! French fries - so good! Chocolate peanut butter pie - fantastic! My vegan daughter was delighted as were the non- vegans. Also very allergen friendly. And just really the nicest, most helpful and friendly staff. Wish we lived closer!

I love Three Girls Vegan!…read more They've definitely gotten better service wise now that we're out of that 6-feet apart phase in our lives. Though, I vowed never to come back after a few poor visits a long time ago, I'm glad I didn't keep that promise. Now that the cafe is open to the public again, things are running smoothly and it's nice to be able to interact with the staff. The food here is AMAZING. I'm not personally vegan but the menu items can easily turn anyone into a vegan. I'm currently learning how to recreate some of these recipes. I live in NC so when we drive to CT, Three Girls Vegan is a must-visit. Some of my favorite options are: the "clam" strips, chik'n bowl with mashed potatoes (it recreates the KFC bowl really well), Caesar salad, eggplant pesto rolls, and the chocolate donuts. I love going in after picking up my to-go order waiting outside because their bakery section isn't on the online menu, so I might add a few extra desserts while I'm there. The inside is cute, minimally decorated, but welcoming. There are a few tables inside but seating is mostly outside. I always look forward to my next roadtrip to CT because Three Girls Vegan will always be on that list of places I need to visit before going home. Yes, there is a location in SC but I have yet to go.
