The insane experience I have had with him, would take a half a year. After checking all out for Brian (making sure he is a licensed contractor, bonded, with no complaints, and a good record with the ROC). This was in late February, before these other negative complaints hit. He was supposed to start first week of March. I deposited the cost of new cabinet doors ~4,250 (shaker style), and waited for them to be ordered. Guess what? The Brian Hilliard trend of screwing people over, continued. He hired (literal) addicts to paint the cabinet boxes, which was supposed to take two days, took 6+ weeks. The doors never came in, his crew bad mouthed him, and said that he wasn't being honest. He would be "working" until 9-11 pm at our house, trying to make some janky cabinet fronts look "acceptable". The ending of the story is, he forgot to order the cabinet doors with the 4K+ I gave him, hired some dude that had never made cabinets before, and the whole thing was a wreck. I hired someone to come and do measurements, ordered the doors directly from elite woodworking (Kathy) who helped deliver high quality cabinet fronts, and had to hire someone else to come in and complete the job. All in all, it took over four months, over a thousand text messages, too many no shows, and promises of payback, since I essentially had to hire someone else to do the job. The dude owes me over 4K, and it's just.... Terrible. Also, they trashed my yard, left their garbage, cigarette butts, food, tools, everything behind... still infuriating, and it's been two and a half months.

Then a week later, when I hadn't heard any updates, I told him I'm going to move forward with another company if I do not get word he told me that he ultimately couldn't get the right color grout. His communication throughout the process was inconsistent. I do not get upset when issues arise since I know that things happen. It's more about how it is handled and Gabriel was disrespectful of my time and a poor communicator throughout. I recommend that you avoid this company.

Now my Kitchen island had multiple angular miters that connected to multiple waterfalls at different angles and then with each other. I was initially nervous about it, but then when I met Abraham in person, I realized this guy knows what he is talking about. He gave a very clear and concise bid on the spot. He sketches everything with hand. I took his bid, thought over the details for a day, and then asked him to do my Kitchen, Kitchen backsplash, Kitchen Island and both my bathrooms. He guided me through choosing the Stone. I went and visited the Yard, AZ Tile and Aracruz, and finally ended up choosing Four Slabs and reserved them under his LLC (He is registered with all the Stone Companies). Abraham came back after my cabinet bases were done to create the Templates. He actually came twice to make sure all measurements are perfect, and then delivered a perfect solution. It is amazing, how much artful detail goes into creating seams, book matching and especially where the miter edges and watefalls meet. The best part is, Abraham also provides you with a detailed invoice under his company name, and keeps you updated with Deposit paid and remaining amount. I would highly recommend him for fair and quality service. We dropped into the showroom to see backsplash options. Lisa/owner was very friendly and great showing us options/answering questions and providing us grout and tile samples to take home and view there. Matt/Owner, later came out to give us an estimate and confirm what we were thinking. Matt answered any questions and measured and provided us an estimate before he left. Of course we already had chosen what tile we wanted by this time. Matt came when he said he would and installation began when he told me. Some other options I explored, I had to independently figure out installation. Which took a long time trying to get find someone or get someone to get back to me. Floors n More was also competitive on price, compared to other quotes we got. What we liked was they could give us a firm date on install. They also said they would work with us on installation. The amount of rooms we were doing, was going to be a challenge on moving out furniture/clothing/etc. Some other companies, said we had to have all rooms cleared out before they began. We were able to cycle through rooms, that made it more manageble to accomplish. We liked that Floors n More have their own people that do the work. Ramone/installer, arrived on time. Matt, the owner, was extremely attentive throughout the process--he checked in with me regularly and even sent progress photos along the way, which I really appreciated. His crew was polite, efficient, and worked quickly without leaving any downtime between steps, from sanding to laying the floors to installing the baseboards. One thing I really value is that they stood by their work. After the main job was complete, they came back promptly to fix small areas that needed attention, such as caulking and a few misaligned nails in the baseboards. The finished floors are smooth, level, and feel wonderful to walk on. One critique would be the pattern of how the planks were laid. In some areas, the seams line up in a way that feels a bit repetitive, and I would have preferred more variation in the staggered pattern. That said, the quality of the workmanship and customer service was excellent, and I would happily recommend Matt and his team to anyone looking to have their floors done.
