And yeah, they delivered on exactly what they're promising: great burgers and great sides. I ordered on a Thursday and got the bacon jam burger, which was fire. The bacon jam was spot on. I added a little sriracha myself just to give it some extra kick, but the burger was already really good on its own. I was also way too excited to see chili cheese tots on the menu, and they actually gave me chili cheese tots--not some sad fast-food version. The tots were nicely cooked and golden brown, with actual chili and plenty of melted cheese on top. Definitely beats anything you're getting from a fast-food place. I did carryout, so I can't really speak to the atmosphere inside, but based on the food alone, this place delivers. They have their regular menu plus different daily specials, and after these two items I'm genuinely excited to go back and work my way through some of the other burgers and specials. The bacon jam burger and chili cheese tots were enough to sell me.

I don't remember the exact name of the burger, but it came topped with those baked beans. At first, I had looked at it on the menu and thought, not for me, but after tasting the beans and chatting with the cook about the burger, I was convinced to give it a try. I'm so glad I did because it was absolutely delicious! The burger and fries came out fresh and hot, and everything was seasoned perfectly. I honestly don't know what took me so long to stop in after driving past this place so many times, but I'll definitely be back again.

Defintely not worth the $22 a person. They also ran out of carrot cake on Easter of all holidays, which was a disappointment. We probably won't be back for a buffet at Sandy's, which is a shame because our family has eaten their Mother's Day buffet several times and it had been fine (not stellar, but fine). Also, just a personal opinion, but the constant use of bad AI pictures on their Facebook is so cringey. The Boomers might like it, but the younger crowd sees this sort of stuff and thinks "yikes." Unfortunately, the ice cream wasn't for me. It was overloaded with toppings to the point that I could barely taste the ice cream itself. I love a good balance between the ice cream and the mix-ins, and this just felt like there was way too much going on. The toppings completely overpowered the flavor of the ice cream. We decided to give Johnny Ray's another shot and came back to try the food. Sadly, I wasn't impressed. For the price, I honestly felt like I could have made a better meal at home. Nothing stood out, and it just wasn't worth the money in my opinion. I really wanted to like this place because it's such a fun, inviting spot, but after giving it two separate chances, we've decided we won't be returning for either the food or the desserts. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I also believe in giving an honest account of my experience.
