We hired Bella Movers for a furniture delivery after they were recommended by the Crate & Barrel Outlet in Riverhead. Unfortunately, they destroyed our driveway, leaving behind a massive hole. I discovered the damage immediately after they left and called to report it within five minutes. The woman who answered hung up on me as soon as I explained what had happened.
I followed up immediately with photos and received a call back a while later. She claimed there was no way to prove it was her team and said she would need to see a photo of the driveway from earlier that day.
Luckily, we have driveway cameras. I sent her time stamped photos taken just one minute before the delivery and again right after. The damage is clearly visible in the "after" photo and absolutely not present in the "before."
After no response, I followed up the next day. She said that they would not be taking responsibility, and blamed the damage on an "unstable driveway." When I asked how she came to that conclusion based on the photos and video. She had no answer.
Her attitude throughout was childish and shockingly unprofessional. No apology, no accountability, and no willingness to discuss a resolution.
Avoid this company at all costs. If something goes wrong, they'll leave you to deal with the damage - and take zero responsibility. read more
