One of the older and smaller stores but not as crazy as the ones anchoring the larger malls. First keep in mind that this is one of the smaller Belks and is located in a small strip mall a granted it's off the main east/west highway, it does not get as much traffic as stores on the West Side of I-77. Selection is not as big as what you will find in the bigger Belks that anchor large Malls and while they don't have a wide a selection as the others as well. That said, the quality of the merchandize they do carry is excellent and while the selection is not huge, it is more than ample to give you several good options to choose from. The other major point is that it is not a busy as their larger counterparts so the sales associates have more time to work with you on your purchases. I've always found them to be very helpful and friendly and I enjoy that personal touch. read more

I'm a Belk cardholder and shop here pretty offend. It's pretty much hit or miss with the selection. Most of the newer arrivals are upfront from Michael Kors and a a few other popular designers. There a larger clearance item display from clothes to shoes but you really have to sort through it to find a good find. This particular visit was great because I was able to find several items marked for 50% and I received an additional 35% for being a Belk reward cardholder. The cashier was super helpful. She even got me and additional 10% on an item was had a defect. The fall fashions have arrived and it's a good time to grasp a few sweaters so I'll be back for the next sale. read more

I wholeheartedly agree with Lisa F. This location used to be so much better when I was growing up! Cons: - They no longer have a juniors section. - Sales / clearance racks are a hot mess! - Sorting through stacks & stacks of jeans for your size is a nightmare. - Housewares dept . is so crampt, it's a disaster waiting to happen. - Employees aren't very friendly or helpful. - Lack a lot of name brands. Very disappointed with Belk's anymore. You receive coupons either mailed, or by the app, or emailed, which are repeatedly denied at the register. Spending the time to find something that looks nice, fits well, and with the coupon meets your budget, only to have your valuable time wasted because the coupon is rejected is just not worth it any longer. If you plan to use a coupon at Belk's, before you shop for a thing, verify it at the register first. In my opinion, you should probably shop at another store anyway. read more

I try not to hate on older staples, especially near where I grew up, but this place is past its prime. The parking lot is falling apart, there were bags of trash sitting at the front door, a lot of the florescent lighting was "strobing" enough to give someone a migraine, and even the water fountains we're out of order. I just came in to buy some undershirts real quick on the way to work. I wouldn't have noticed the parking lot but a little old lady about hit me trying to swerve from a pothole. Maybe I just had bad timing, but the bags of trash waiting at the entrance seemed pretty ghetto and easily fixable. I'm surprised the employees havn't spazzed out from the florescent lights flickering all the time. The water fountains were just icing on the cake, I wouldn't complain but it looked like they handn't worked in a while. Is what it is. If little old ladies still want to shop there, more power to them. read more

Dressing rooms are closed, so i can't try anything on. However, I bring it into my home-which COULD be filthy and occupied by people with Covid. (In which parallel universe does THIS make sense?) You won't accept returns on the clothes that didn't fit when I drug them home to try them on, because, although they had every other tag originally on them, the price tag had been removed. (On one item.) Even with a receipt, your "Covid Policy" needs them to have all tags. You've lost a customer for life, Belk. Over $9.60. read more

Worst Belk experience I have every had. Two very rude ladies working tonight front desk and the Estée Lauder counter. I went in to pick up my order for makeup. They couldn't find my order so I got my email confirmation and showed them (which clearly showed pick up in Mooresville) and explained the payment was taken out of my account. Long story short they wouldn't do anything for me even though I could see the product I purchased laying on their counter...my item was ready to pick up, they just couldn't find it in the back.. so basically I PAID Something they wouldn't give me because their "processors" were gone for the day even though this was at 6:20 and the store closes at 7. I am furious at what happened this morning at this store. The Lancome Account Coordinator, Stephanie Lyke, was there with another makeup artist for the "free Lancome facial" day. I had made an appointment for 11 am, was called yesterday to confirm it, and arrived at 10:50 am so I could be sure I was on time. I waited until 11:45 am, spending my waiting time talking to the very nice Lancome salespeople (Barbara and LInda). Three times they told Stephanie and the other guest makeup artist that the 11 am appointment was waiting,but both Stephanie and the other artist continued to apply makeup on the two ladies who had the 10 am appointments. They could have "handed them over" to either Barbara or Linda to complete the makeup applications, as they weren't busy with other customers. In fact, that was the understanding of Barbara and Linda, that the two visiting makeup artists would do the facials, and they would follow through with the makeup application afterward. After being made to wait for 45 minutes, I complained to Stephanie Lyke. She did apologize but she lied and said she wasn't ever told I was there waiting. I saw Barbara and Linda tell her three different times that I was there. Not only was my time disrespected, but that was outrageous of her to lie to me. I then talked with the store manager Tracie Borowski, who apologized and offered a small gift card to compensate for at least a small portion of my time spent waiting. I am disappointed and angry with the lack of professionalism of Stephanie, and with the fact that she lied to me after I waited 45 minutes. As a Belk Premier customer for many years, who shops and buys at Belk regularly, I deserve better service. read more

I miss the days of going to a dept store and being helped by friendly staff members. Now, it seems you only get that at Saks and Neiman Marcus. :( This store is small and crowded b/c it is trying to have all the depts featured in their larger stores but under a much smaller roof. The prices are typically inline w/Dillards, some more pricey than Macy's and I do not think that is justified given the lack of service, crammed spaces and shabby dressing rooms. The sale prices range from fair to good. The shoe selection is okay, but only one woman was working the floor today - during a sale - reminding me why I don't shop here often. There is no assistance in the dressing rooms. I get more help at Kohl's (and at much lower prices.) Also, their children's dept is quite small. I can get Calvin Klein jeans at SteinMart for less and have a more pleasant 'all-around' experience, therefore, I only shop here when I cannot find what I'm looking for anywhere else. read more

Limited selection of clothing and not very organized. I live in Mooresville so I come here to get make up and something last minute but I'll drive to Charlotte if I have time. More times than not when I visit the staff doesn't offer to help and seems like you are putting them off by asking for assistance. The employees are more down to earth at Nordstrom and Saks. read more

The young boys department is almost non existent and the sizes generally run too small. The quality of most of the boys clothes is not very good (no better than Walmart). I had bought an outfit for my son here and it turned out to be way too small for him. We returned the item to the store and cashier was insistent on our taking store credit as opposed to receiving the return in cash because we paid for the items in cash. The items were brand new with the tags still on them so there was no reason to give us store credit. We complained and were offered a refund in cash as they were supposed to do in the first place. I would never demand cash unless I paid in cash. They also often do a "Bait and Switch" with their coupons and always will have an excuse not to take them. I once had a jewelry coupon that they would not accept because they said they did not have a fine jewelry department which was a pretty lame excuse. read more
