Really enjoyed dinner twice at this restaurant with my wife. The Caesar salad was the best I've ever had! Just my style with the creamy dressing and the chicken was grilled to Perfection. The other night pizza and it was also very good.

I swear I'm never going to turn down a good slice of pizza, no matter where I am on this planet! While visiting Dublin, we stayed at the Generator Hostel, located directly across from Bel Cibo in Smithfield Square. We had discovered during our stay that Smithfield is quite a long walk from most of the City Centre attractions and we began to tire from the long walks to some of the more popular areas like O'Connell and Grafton Streets. It was our last night in Dublin and pizza sounded mighty tempting. Bel Cibo appeared to be fairly new with trendy décor and small white tables. The places was pretty full on a Tuesday night. Our waitress was very sweet and really made the overall experience more enjoyable. I'm definitely a sucker for great pizza and please add Bel Cibo to the list of great experiences. I had the Pollo Pancetta which was layered with chunks of chicken and delicious strips of pancetta to create meaty goodness. It had a nice thin crust with just enough grease to make it good but firm enough to keep the toppings together. We also ordered a basket of chips which seems quite odd for an Italian place but I was so glad we ordered them. The chips had a fantastic seasoning that left us scraping the basket clean. Our waitress was very sweet and attentive and we enjoyed chatting with her. The only issue that came up was upon paying with our debit card. Our "no-chip" cards were a dead giveaway that we were from the US and they ended up being not accepted by their POS systems. We had intentionally used up all of our Euros cash since we were leaving the next day. I ended up running to the corner store to withdraw some cash. Our waitress was very apologetic about the situation so it didn't bother me as much as it might have. In the end, I really enjoyed our experience at Bel Cibo. Pizza in Ireland? At Bel Cibo, YES PLEASE!

I live a few minutes from there and from the outside I never really felt attracted to it. Until a few month ago when I went for an icecream with my boyfriend after a night out. And then today before going to the Jameson Distillery for a tour... 1* For the staff: So friendly! I mean really. We felt taken care of like it was a family place. 1* For the service: If you are hungry and in a hurry, do not think twice. This is the place to go to ! We ordered a pizza, with one half chicken and the other half Volcano spicy. I was happily surprised to hear that there was no problem making 2 different halves. Then the waiter said it would take 12 minutes. I didn't check the clock but it seemed faster. The smoothies arrived first really fast and then the pizza. At some point my boyfriend asked for a garlic dip. What came back was way more than I expected. Instead of a mini dip - like you usually see everywhere - we got a mini bowl full of garli dip. I even took a picture :D 1* For the pizza: We orded a 16'' and it was huge. My side was with chicken, mushrooms, tomato, cheese and bacon. It was really tasty ! The other size was delicious as well - as per my other half's report. Minus 1* For forgetting a detail: I asked for the bacon to be removed and they forgot. To me it was important because I don't really care for bacon in pizza. The waiter took note of it but the bacon stood happily on my pizza. 1* For the smoothies: I had passion fruit and he had bkueberry. Nom nom ! The price was reasonable for a smoothie I think: 3.90euros for a big smoothie. I will come back for that as well definitely ! If you wish to take a doggie bag with your leftovers that's fine. The waiter will actually ask you if you haven't finished your plate :) Overal I am really happy with this place and I recommend it. It has a family atmosphere to it and it's really enjoyable ! Let me know if you have any questions and I will answer as best as I can. #yelpmeplease #eliteyelper #yelp

The food was great but there was little choice. Big portions and quick service. Not that expensive. Pizzas for +/- 12 euros. The interior was modern, but it wasn't that big. We're staying at the Generator Hostel (Lovely hostel btw) which is across the street. We will try the breakfast some day (Blueberry pancakes)!

    Cozy inside!

While visiting Dublin with friends, we noticed how early everything closed, even bars! Bel Cibo to the rescue! I visited twice, both times for dinner, during my stay, and both times we had good service and excellent food. I would also like to note how varied the diets for each of us is: one is vegan, one vegetarian, and another has Celiac's (gluten-free) diet. Bel Cibo's was able to accommodate all of us, despite the late hour when we came in to dine both times. Highly recommended if you're in the area and have some sort of dietary need.

I think it's a 3.5 star to be honest... everything was average but nice enough that I won't mind visiting Bel Cibo again if I can't be arsed to go into the city centre. Food portions were massive with generous pouring of house wines - prices very reasonable as well €19.90 for two courses with wine/beer. The food was just lacking a bit of lustre - tasty enough but just a bit more imagination could do a fair bit to push this to a 4 star review!

The restaurant is located in the Smithfield square and has Italian food. The restaurant has inside and outside seating. We had the pizza pods (cheese wrapped in pizza dough-can have with pepperoni) and they were pretty good-came with tomato sauce. The lasagne was ok. We also had a pizza to go and the crust was burned/ If you are in the area it could be an ok area to eat.

Recieved two large pizzas tonight they where Stone cold on arrival and squashed to one side in the box. Disgraceful

Tall windows, moody wall art and bold, bright colours set the scene for diners at Bel Cibo. Smithfield's cool as a cucumber Italian spot offers sleek a Euro-cool atmosphere in a location that makes the best of it's turf -right next to the popular Lighthouse Cinema. Share a Cipolle pie and a bottle of house red, soak in the atmostphere, then head over to catch an indie flick -or stop in for lunch on one of these soggy Dublin afternoons and get serious with a bowl of Bel Cibo's mighty minestrone. Bel Cibo offers a rotating menu of 3 daily specials, promising a different taste every day. The staff is incredibly helpful, proffering wine lists, menus and their own favourites if choosing between the Prosciutto Crudo or Gnocci proves to be too hard. Prices are reasonable (for respectable pizza), but certainly not cheap -the takeaway menu's 12" pies start around €10 or €12 and extra toppings at €1.50 each.

This is more of a 3.5 than a 3. Despite only living a few minutes from here, I'd never been inside. I think it's the overall branding and decor that put me off - it's a little plastic looking - kinda reminds me of a cafe you'd go to in an amusement park. Like one of the nicer ones that you save for the evening like. Anyway to be honest it's perfectly lovely. It's more or less exactly what I thought - big menus, bright lighting and colourful decor. None of which are bad things, it's really all up to your personal taste. We just went in for desert which was delish. I got apple pie and ice cream which was lovely, and my pal got a very decadent ice cream sundae with loads of fruit, sauce etc. The staff were lovely as well - really accommodating and friendly. We went in after 10 and there was only one other couple there, so you can bet they groaned when they saw us come in and stop them from closing up, but honestly they never showed it - quite the opposite, they were exceptionally welcoming and sweet. I would come back again to try the pizza as I hear it's good.

    Proper crispy bacon- amazing burger!

This place shocked me!…read more I found San Lorenzo's via Yelp, so thank you Yelpers! It is one of the few places in Dublin that takes American Express cards. So you can leave home without it when you come here When we asked if they had a table they said only if you are up from the table in an hour. We were hungry so we agreed The environment is dark and tasteful and lively The wine list is not good, but the food and the staff make up for everything The avocado and caprese salad was awesome The shrimp in wine sauce was off the charts delicious The chicken breast wrapped in prosciutto was delicious and the polenta and creamed corn were spectacular The monk fish wrapped in crispy pancetta on a bed of pesto basil was amazing To top it off we had the Nutella cheesecake with Carmel sauce and gelato with biscotti crumbs on top- this was surreal!!! All this and we were done with all the food, a bottle of wine and cappuccinos in an hour and never felt rushed If you are in the mood for Italian food, come to San Lorenzo's

Things I liked about Sprezzatura: - whatever you're in the mood for (marinara, carbonara, bolognese...), it's probably on the menu that night - the sauces are rich/heavy. I like, but maybe not everyone will. - generous portions - super friendly service Things I wasn't crazy about: - the finish on the table left a stickiness that was annoying as we sat through our meal - the kitchen door kept slamming shut (loudly) with every staff pass-through and needs some sort of better hinge or soft close mechanism - each pasta dish was a bit overrun with sauce. I might have soaked it up with some bread, but the amount was unnecessary for the pasta alone. We ordered three pastas dishes. I actually liked the one I didn't order the most - an amatriciana-like red sauce with a little spice. My wife enjoyed the Fettucini, Nduja and Mascarpone. The Mafaldine Cashel Blue (cheese) and Roasted Walnuts, which also had caramelized onions in it, was actually not as sweet as I expected (or wanted) it to be. What we did agree on, though, was how delicious the arancini was (we went with spicy sausage). I would lead with that...but don't get carried away. The wine choices were limited, but solid. And the price was very reasonable. I'd go back again (if I actually lived in Ireland!), mostly when I have a fix for a certain flavor. There was a lot of delivery business taking place during our visit. I suspect these sauces don't travel well (no firsthand experience with that), so dine in seems like the better call to me.
