THIS SHOP IS A COMPLETE NIGHTMARE! The owners/employees are incredibly rude, disgusting, and pathetic. The lady who was showing us the clothes was either the owner or pretending to be. She bragged about her 25 years of business experience but had the worst customer service attitude imaginable. We went to this store with my family to shop for clothes. The arrogant woman working there showed us three dresses and started making judgmental comments. Her first comment was, "We can't open every dress to try. You can put it against your body to see if you like it." Then, she started pushing my daughters to buy the dress she was forcing on them. When my daughter said she wasn't sure about it, she made a second comment, "Then why did you try it on if you weren't sure about it?" I was done with her stupid attitude and just wanted to avoid any more ridiculous comments. So, I asked her to give me the prices for the dresses so we could decide if we were interested. She quoted some ridiculous prices (4-8 times higher than what we could find at Devon Stores). I told her that we would check out a few other places to make sure my family didn't feel pressured to buy these clothes. The lunatic woman flipped and started making even more judgmental comments. She said, "I had the feeling that you couldn't buy these expensive dresses from the beginning." She then said, "Why would you make me take out the dresses from the hangers if you couldn't buy them?" And finally, she said, "Buy something that's in your budget. Why look for expensive clothes?" I can't imagine that she had the guts to speak to her customers like that! She should be ashamed of herself and deserves to lose her job or business. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment. During our visit, she mentioned that they used to have three store locations, but two of them shut down. I'm sure they lost their two stores because of their messed-up attitude towards their customers. They're unbelievably pushy, arrogant, and judgmental lunatics. My daughter and I went to Chicago in end of June this year and bought a semi Bridal set (size 38) for my daughter's nikkah from Bejee Collection. After I made the payment, the owner didn't let us take the dress with us. she told us that they have a designated employee who comes every evening to check dresses (sold) for missing beads, seams etc. We wanted to take it as it is, but she didn't let us. she said in order to maintain their business reputation there is no exception. It didn't make any sense at all. We went to the store next day again to pick up the dress. she also discouraged us to check thoroughly or to try since my daughter already tried it previous day. *** Just couple of days before her nikkah we found out that she gave wrong size pant (48+ size) instead of 38. All the other stores I've been to looking for dresses, said they don't carry plus sized dresses or they're not willing to bargain. Kiran Bajee and Momnah Bajee worked very hard to alter my nikkah dress within 1 day and got me the perfect fitting dress. I got an insane amount of compliments at my Nikkah, it gave my body a nice shape. Next, we requested them to customize my reception dress and here I am today writing this review while I wait for them to pack it up. The dress is a 100% perfect fit, they did a fabulous job. They worked so much on every single detail that I don't have any words to describe how I'm feeling now. Even if you're worried about a price range, or your size, color, literally anything, you should come check out Bejee's. They're gonna pour their heart out for you to find you what you're looking for. There's lots of street parking, and I mention that because my husband always stresses about the parking. Here, you have nothing to worry about! I was looking to buy a chudidhar to wear for an office party. It was my first venture into shopping on the famous Devon street. I parked near this store, so this was my starting point. It is a nice large store, well organized. The women at the store were helpful in showing me several dresses. They have a really nice collection of party wear. I was looking for something simple and elegant, not the frilly or the beaded types. I must say that the sales women were pushy. They were dismissive about my taste in clothes and kept pushing me to buy the expensive extravagant ones. It was almost impossible to bargain with them. They kept saying that everything that I picked was on clearance already. I ended up buying a few dresses, but don't feel like I would be comfortable to shop here again. I'm an Americanized kid and shopping for Indian clothes is intimidating, but Amna and her co worker (whose name I'm forgetting) were super helpful and helped Me find what I needed. I even forgot my wallet at home and they let me pay through Quickpay! Also, I came in on a Wednesday and needed my outfit to be tailored by Thursday. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a vender. Kiran when we first came in told us the dress we were looking at was 700$. After having a family friend purchase the dress for us we had a fitting done. I didn't even try on the dress and had to wait three weeks for it to come back. When I got the dress back not only was it tailored horribly but Kiran was very mad about the fact that her work was subpar and just done horribly, telling us that we "did not know what we were talking about" and the dress she previously labeled as, "expensive", was now "not bridal" and "cheap". Update: so originally i gave bee jee's a 5-star review being completely ignorant to cost of fabrics and quality of clothing. It just so happens, i flew to Pakistan to get my wedding clothes and found THE EXACT outfit i wore to my engagement. The price Bee Jee's told me it was worth was $900, and they were able to bring it down to $700. At the market this dress was worth $50. FIFTY DOLLARS. Mind you, my dress was not hand stitched. The work and detailing was glued on. I was completely ripped off. If you're going to this store, i suggest you do your research and if you have family abroad take advantage of that or they will take advantage of you. I wish my experience would have been different. If I could give this place a zero rating, I would. The con-artist owner known to the outside world as Karin has no qualms about knowingly making promises she has no intention of keeping. She showed us several dresses while simultaneously bragging about how many dresses she's sold and how happy and grateful her customers are. This is not the first wedding our family has thrown. We knew what we were doing but she asked us many questions to see how well we knew desi wear. My sisters and I took our time choosing several dresses for us and our wedding party. The dresses we chose for ourselves had a very intricate design with high quality beading and high quality fabric. It took several weeks for our order to come in. When it finally did we were shocked. The dresses she handed us had extremely low quality fabric which scrunched against the thread-work and sparse and cheap beading. We expressed to her our utter dismay that she would even have the audacity to try to pass these off as the same dresses we had chosen. We showed her pics of what we chose up against what she had delivered. She argued and insisted that they were similar. She would not relent. Meanwhile our sisters wedding was coming up and we were EACH out hundreds of dollars! We ended up finding beautiful dresses at half the price at another boutique. What could we do? When you're up against someone with no morals who willingly and knowingly cheats you, you just have to cut your losses and move on. The only thing we can do is try to prevent anyone else from having this horrible experience. Edit: In response to the owner's accusation that I'm being dishonest, - You've sunken to a new low. We did not ask you to cancel the order. We received the dresses and were very disappointed and you did nothing right to make amends the 3 times we made a trip to your store. Why would we make another trip now; to appease you because you don't like your reviews? My mom and sister have been regular customers of Kiran for decades, so naturally, when we needed to design two custom bridal outfits, we went straight to Kiran. As usual, she made the entire process very easy for us. She helped us bring our vision to reality by quickly understanding exactly how we wanted the dress to look. She even had fabric samples shipped from Pakistan so we could see the fabric and color before the dresses were made. She communicated regularly about the production and shipping status. The dresses arrived several weeks before the wedding, and up until the week before the wedding, she accommodated all of our requests for tweaking the dresses until each one was perfect. I'm not sure what all everyone else may have experienced or if there is more to their stories. But my family and I had a GREAT experience with this business. We were walking by as they were closing and just peaked in to ask what the price of a lengha was in the window. The invited us in and told us not to worry about closing, they were still working on other stuff anyway. They showed us a few other outfits in the style we had been looking. We worked with the owner and her 20-some year old daughters (totally reminded me of my sisters). They took the time to get to know our taste and what exactly we were looking for. If we said we weren't interested in something they didn't push it. They weren't aggressive like many of the other stores we walked into on Devon and there wasn't someone attached at my hip following me around showing me stuff that I'm totally not interested in. I found them to be really honest and to the point, not really beating around the bush or haggling like it's a game. At the end, we paid INCREDIBLY REASONABLE prices for all our pieces. They have a great collection of both Indian and Pakistani styles and designs. I really appreciated the variety of fabrics on most of their outfits. There was a mix of chiffon, georgette, silk and net type fabrics on the various types of outfits. A nice change from the other stores on Devon where it's like 500 net anarkali's and a pile georgette sari's. After out pleasant experience we're definitely planning to go back to buy some more outfits for my family and friends this wedding season.
