Yada yada yada...another review of a Target store. Why you may ask? Cause this Target is awesome. First of all I love the fact that they have the covered parking and that there is plenty of parking spaces. Once you get inside, you will see a HUGE retail store! I mean they have everything in this store. It is well stocked and organized and clean, so so clean! And the staff is just lovely. The times I have been there, I can't tell how many people walk up to ask if I need help with something, which I don't but thanks for asking. The wine section is great and the prices are very good, definitely worth making a trip over there. I love that it has a million check-out lanes but only a few are open when I have been there. Not a problem as it never seems to be crowded and I have not had to wait in line for very long. This particular location works for me versus the locations at Wilson/Broadway and Loyola. read more

This is the same employee I spoke about in my previous review. I'm pretty sure he read this review and wanted to be extra annoying today when he gave me my online order. I placed a drive up pick up order at this target. I don't normally go to this target, but the item I wanted was out of stock at another target, so maybe this one has more items in stock? Or if you are seeking an item that seems to be sold out other stores maybe you should come here for it? I was really annoyed by the drive up parking spot because both of the lanes were right in the middle of crosswalk so it was difficult to park and to get out of the spot because there were so many people walking around in the two lanes of the drive up parking spots. Also, in the drive up parking spots, the three cars next to me were all completely empty. People were just using those spots to park, which also was annoying because the drive up order parking was limited. Overall, there are other targets I prefer to go to, but this one may have your item in stock if it is sold out elsewhere. read more

When I went in to buy an alcoholic beverage, the worker told me that my U.S. passport wasn't a valid form of ID. She even admitted to me that she wasn't sure about the store's policy because she was new to working there. Please make sure she doesn't spread misinformation to future customers. read more

It's a pretty solid target. The reason they're getting a review is because their changing room door broke my finger. It's designed in such a way that when unlocking the latch, it can pin your finger under the door handle because, inexplicably, there are c shaped metal door handles on BOTH sides of the latch. No idea why two are needed three inches apart from each other. I was in the process of pulling the door open, and it crushed my finger and bent it backwards under the latch and second handle. A Phillips head screwdriver could've prevented this. read more

My go-to Target for nearly 15 years. This was the first two-story target I ever saw, actually! It's also the first place I ever saw a cart elevator or escalator. Hi, younger, more easily impressed me! The store itself isn't two stories, but the parking is underneath and surrounding the store. Enter and head upstairs to find the store on one level. They have a lot of Drive Up pickup spaces--somewhere in the neighborhood of 20. read more

This target is AMAZING compared to the ones closer to me (the one on Broadway is always busy and a bit dirty, and the one on Ashland is about the fourth of a size of a standard target). I was truly shocked at how big and clean it was. There is just more of everything - home decor, clothing, and groceries! I also love that there is an Ulta inside this target, which more than doubles the size of the cosmetics department. Everything was well stocked and organized too. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the large parking lot made everything easy. In the future I'll definitely drive the extra ten minutes to this location! read more

Im so tired of the constant discrimination racism in this store. I been shopping at this target store. .The area is limited in stores for groceries.I can't tell you how many times I've went and felt so uncomfortable as they follow you around. I'm done shopping here. I Hope this reaches corporate proper training is needed so they can treat people equally and how they want to be treated. Discrimination is very evident. They have about everything I need. The store is kept organized. Pharmacy department & Starbucks has nice staff. What can be hit or miss is their drive-up service. I'll see other customers who came after me receiving their orders first and I'll still be waiting for mine. Other times certain single items get left out of my order. I called their customer service desk only for staff to ask me to come back later to get it. It was a single bottle of Apple juice. Understandably there are certain times to avoid Target like during rush hour or evenings. They also need more check-out lanes to be opened during the busier hours. There is usually a long line at both self check-out and regular check-out lanes. Their bathrooms are relatively clean but need some repairs. The stall doors need to be fix as the handicapped stall, for example, has a noticeably large gap that would allow anyone to peek inside the stall. It is best to avoid that particular one. read more

The woman working at Ulta today on July/23/2025 was very mean, she said her name is Kimberly. Treated me like a criminal. They took the barriers down that was closing off Ulta from the rest of Target, and I've always just picked out my items from Ulta and then checked out all together at the main Target checkout. But today when I left Ulta and was walking to check out some shampoo, I realized she had followed me and with a mean attitude said I needed to pay there at Ulta, to which I responded and said I wasn't finished shopping and just wanted to check out once all together which I am used to doing- she said she needed the items back and really made me feel like a criminal with such an aggressive and mean tone. I asked a very nice Target employee Chad for help who was nearby, and explained that she was being very mean to me and treating me like a criminal just for continuing to shop, and she then came up to me behind me and Chad scarily with the items I was going to buy in her hand and she raised them high showing Chad as to suggest she had recovered those items from being stolen. Very strange, I've always just grabbed whatever from Ulta and checked out all together up front at multiple Target locations with no problem- sometimes I check out at Ulta when I am only visiting the Ulta section of the store, but when I have more shopping I just check out all at once. When Kimberly followed me down the isle and I said I'd prefer to check out all together and she said I couldn't do that and that she needed the items back then and was treating me like a criminal, she came up close to me and said "you could have just checked out twice" or something, but it didn't make sense because I've always just checked out once and never was made to be treated like a thief or had anyone try to scare me or accuse me of stealing to other employees. Me and my fiancee were shaken up leaving because we had been approached by this really mean and aggressive woman and actually treated like we were stealing and as if she caught us- most horrible experience I've ever had shopping. The manager Melina gave us a $10 gift card for being publicly humiliated and embarrassed in front of customers and employees that were around, but I don't know how thats supposed to make up for how horrible Kimberly made us feel today. I will not be shopping at Target anymore as customer service kept repeating to us that it was a new policy about checking out at Ulta, but I think the employees should be trained to explain that nicely to customers- and I believe taking down your barriers to separate Ulta from the rest of the store makes it even more confusing to your customers, if you're going to follow customers out and accuse them of stealing and look at them with wide open eyes and a mean expression and tell them to come back or give the items back then maybe there should be walls separating Ulta from the rest of the store. Either way, my fiancee and I left our cart behind and left not buying anything because we were too shaken up after being treated like thieves and having Kimberly be so mean to us. Also, note that she also did not greet us coming in, stared at us the entire time, and then mumbled while not looking at us "you can checkout with me when you're done shopping". I wasn't done shopping which is why I was just trying to continue shopping, we didn't deserve for her to come up to us and talk to us like that- it literally startled me the way she approached me to where I couldn't even respond for a few seconds because I was so put off by the way this aggressive woman was approaching us. read more

First time to this location - all good things! I liked the under building parking (lots of lights for safety). No worries about getting stuck in inclement weather while trying to load up your car. I found more than I was looking for, all at great prices, but I'm sure that doesn't shock you if you're a Target person. Be sure to have the Target Circle app/signup complete ahead of time to maximize savings! I was in the market for some home office goodies; a few small faux plants, a sign, and a few bud vases for when my real flowers are blooming in the summer. They even had posterboard, which I wasn't sure they carried. All in all, a productive trip. I felt very safe with social distancing and sanitization practices in action by the cashier. She was very nice and was the one to recommend that I use my Target Circle signup/app if I didn't already have it up. I'll be back! read more

I typically shop at Target for the convenience of the drive up orders. New procedure that they are bringing half of your drive up order out and then requiring you to wait for the rest of your order to arrive. I've been at the parking lot for 12 minutes and counting and I'm the mercy of whomever is supposed to be bringing out these groceries. If I knew it would take this long I would've left but now I don't have that option. Poor practice. I will be contacting corporate with my complaints. Not to mention the last time I did a drive up order and asked that it be put in the passenger seat, instead of opening the door, the woman just dumped all of my bags through the window, spilling my groceries all over my passenger seat. I shop at this Target all the time. I never needed any special assistance while shopping here. On Black Friday I bough a TV, which was broken when I opened the box at home. When I went back they were all sold out. I spoke with Chris and he was able to get me another TV for the same price. Chris was so nice he even helped me get the TV down stairs. Chris provided me with excellent customers service. I couldn't thank him enough. I think Chris was one of the supervisors. I wish him to get even higher within the company as he demonstrated excellent peoples skills. Thank you Chris. read more

Just as I suspected, this idea from Erica and the busybody drive-up employee did not work correctly. If you read my review below on the 25th, those two insisted that if I brought my dog, I had to stand by the entrance instead of a drive-up spot. I thought this was ridiculous because somebody could easily park in the same spot I punch in, and then I'd have to prove which groceries are mine if the worker didn't put them in the trunk too fast for me to do it. Target sent me a gift card for my experience earlier this week with these two. I took that gift card to another Target location and tested out their plan. JUST LIKE I SUSPECTED, I put in the number, stood by the entrance, waited for a worker to come out and then a car drove into the spot I punched in. I ended up with the driver's order. Another worker didn't know my order was my order. And then another lady drove up about a complication with her order. So all five of us were trying to figure out whose order was whose. If the Peterson location would just let dog walkers stand in THAT drive-thru spot to avoid these kinds of complications, we'd be gone in minutes. It worked perfectly last weekend with a cashier at Peterson who was NOT being a busybody. He had my bags in a cart. I bagged them into my backpack. I left. He left. It was a seamless transaction. No leashes. No complaints. No Animal Control threats. No strangers trying to pet my dog. Just a simple pick-up in the parking lot. But this other guy working the drive-up on Thursday felt like he had to circle back with my order, go tell his supervisor (who was supposed to be "busy in her office" and couldn't initially come down) and a security guard standing there like I was a criminal. I'm done with the Peterson location. The alternate location I went to was really confused about why I couldn't just stand in the drive-thru spot. One worker even said Target on Peterson is not supposed to challenge dogs coming in because even if it's not a service animal, it could be an ESA. I appreciate the gift card from Customer Service, but I've tapped out on going to Peterson altogether. There are some very cool people who work there, and maybe when I'm dogless, I'll pop in to say hi and shop. But I would prefer to never deal with these other two employees again. Oddly, they made me like another Target location that I hadn't gone to in years. read more

I have been there because they stock ,more items than the one near my house. well stocked liquor and food areas and surprising. Love under gound parking, needs better lighting but appreciated escalator and elevator to main floor. Well laid out but very big and I needed a store department map somewhere. Target is pricey but you expect it due to a lot of staff, well stocked areas, great cosmetics area with all the brand names. Great experience overall. read more

This is a pretty good Target. It's clean and I can generally find what I'm looking for. The staff is friendly and actually help you when you can't find anything. I was looking for a cooling rack that showed in stock on their app. I looked, and looked and couldn't find it. The employee took the time to scan the shelves to find out that they may have it in stock in the back. After about 5 minutes later, he came back with the item in hand. He apologized for the inconvenience. My only complaint is that they don't carry a larger selection of craft beers. It's not a true ding on the store but some of the bottled wines can be removed and more beer stocked. That's more of a personal grunt. Keep up the good work!! read more

Tried to buy three canisters of wipes. One for me, one for my mom and one for my sister. Did not deplete the stock on the shelf by any stretch of the imagination. Went to self check out and I'm told by a Target staff person (short, stocky brunette female) that I can only buy one. I explain that I'm buying for my relatives, and she says nope, they have to buy their own. I then explain, and offer to prove with emails, that my elderly mom and my sister live in a senior citizen center and they are not allowed to leave due to COVID 19 and the current state law. Staff girl says she will ask a "manager" who is the Taylor Swift wannabe (tall, blond with attitude) who doesn't even talk to me and just prances with the extra two canisters of wipes to customer service. I'll throw in this review that the last time I was at Target I overheard several customers complaining about this girls attitude. You lost me as a customer today Target. Those two staff members are rude and heartless and need to be taught some basic customer service lessons. Absolutely disgusted and horrified with the entire experience today. read more

Be careful Target is scamming people. If you log into your account and try to add the item to your cart or look it up while being signed in, the price of items are more expensive for this location. I find this very deceitful. I'm buying from Amazon and Walmart interested. The workers are great. I will be taking my money elsewhere until #Target fixes this issues. read more

I think I called the guest service/pick up department about 10 times and ended up waiting way longer than i should have for 1 item for drive up. It's my first time using the service because I just got out of the ER due to a jaw injury, so I didn't want to go in the store to avoid making the injury worse but it definitely would have been quicker. I LOVE this target location! The store is remodeled with a new beauty department (men and women), lots of options for jewelry and organized. Great wine selections. Overall the store is always clean which makes it easy to find items. The staff is always really friendly going out of their way to greet you as you walk around the store. There's a target closer to my house but I prefer this location so I stop whenever I remember on my ride home from work. Keep up the great job guys! read more

They shifted some aisles around at this location, and now shopping is a breeze, even on the busiest nights. There is ample room to explore, nothing is too cluttered, and the flow of the store made every turn not feel lost, but logical. Love the dairy free options at Target lately, and this location stocks plenty of gluten free, vegan, and lactose free alternatives. Even in the midst of the holiday season, there was no clutter. They're currently renovating this location, and the layout has completely changed. It seems that the goal is for the store to look/flow more like a JC Penney or Sears rather than a Target. I found the new layout to be very disorienting and frustrating. It took me a long time to get what I needed. I walked around for quite a while in a daze, and not one single employee/associate ever offered to help me. I will be ordering more items online from now on. read more

Overall this Target location is head and shoulders above your general merchandise retailer. They don't welcome you all the time but for the most part, this is one of the better Targets in the Chicago area to visit. read more

Came to target after exploring the park around the corner to pick up a couple things. The Target store isn't too bad inside but what dissapointed me on my trip was that the shelves were under stocked and there were random things that people didn't buy thrown all over random shelves. Customer service by the check out employees was the worst part of it as a check out isle was closed as we were next in line. read more

I am in love with this Target. Another place that is walking distance from me. Parking is generous for those that would like to drive. The store is clean and always tidy. The customer service is great. Another plus is the fact that they have a Starbucks; you can pick up a drink as you shop. What I love most is the clearance section. You would be surprised at the goodies you'll find in this section. I would never buy anything from here at regular price but that is just me. I typically find that groceries are expensive at Target so I never buy any here. read more

You really learn about a place on the last Saturday before Christmas, and busy as it was, the place was reasonably clean, orderly and the check out time wait was minimal. I was startled by one almost hysterical "CAN I HELP YOU FIND ANYTHING?" by a harried worker who looked like she was about to have a nervous breakdown, but a bad joke from me and she visibly relaxed. This location has its own parking below, you take an escalator up, and there's another escalator for the carts. I was able to conduct some exciting scientific experiments involving carts and the escalator until a polite safety minded security officer requested that I desist and go shopping instead. If you're a kid, or still in touch with the inner child, shopping here is worth it for the escalator alone. read more

I love Target in general, but this night I had a taste for fruit and some healthy snacks so I brought blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, bananas and raspberries. EVERY piece of fruit was sweet and had a real nice crisp to them. I purchased some other groceries and ended up buying a my pure-mist nasal mister $149.99 and some other stuff that I've been putting off for a while. I love this location because the staff asked me questions often, they walked me over to the items that I couldn't find and was very friendly. Today at 2:00 there was a woman who seemed to be a supervisor using her microphone telling people she needed more cashier's. In the meantime she checked someone out while her mask didn't cover her nose. She then pulled it below her mouth so it wasn't covering her mouth or nose. Then repeatedly touched her mask. No wonder targets have employees with covid. Either they don't know how to use masks properly or just don't. read more

More than ample parking, covered and un. They've got escalators for your cart also! (Just like Ikea) Selection is grossly smaller than what you are used to seeing in a usual Target store. Maneuvering about the store, you're not sure if you're finding everything you need. Or maybe its the setup, you don't get to see all that is offered. A Target is a Target, so why do I need to review each one of them? Did you know not all Target locations are created equal? Well, if you drive your own vehicle and don't want to struggle finding a parking space, this one has a large garage. However, this one isn't so friendly with shoppers who rely on public transportation. CTA buses 84 (Peterson) do run by, but this particular bus isn't running with a schedule of high frequency, on both weekdays and weekends. During snow days, flurry days, and post-snow days, the pedestrian walkways are left icy. I'm pretty sure that people who are in either heaven or hell are not concerned with your walking well-being (the cemetery is across the road from this Target). Once you've overcome any transportation issue, this Target is one of the better ones in the city. The organizations in apparel departments are decent. We all know that their clearance racks are always a hot mass. Well, the clearance sections here are a little "colder" of a hot mass, if that makes any sense. If you're a fan shopping for clothing at Target, you got to follow their fast-paced markdown schedules. I once was interested in a Yoda beanie at the men's department, yet I could never find it anymore one (1) week after the first time I saw it, in any Target location. I wonder if Yoda used his force and escaped Target for a better life...perhaps! Every Target location always has some "close-out" items. I often check out their non-perishable items for their close-out deals. If you have a manufacturer's coupon that matches the item in the close-out section, I believe you can still use it for a better deal. Target is a good place to shop for apparel, accessories, groceries, and even electronics when they have some sort of gift card deals, as long as the sales associates are not edgy or having a crappy day. read more

The store is too hot like stuffy and no ventilation. Shopped over summer a few time and it's been literally blowing hot air in certain parts of store. When I went again to get few items in October it was cooler outside like in the 50s but in the store oh my its hot and no ventilation. Not sure what the problem is buy this makes me uncomfortable specially with people who come in shopping sick bring in their sick kids in store and then it's the lack of ventilation in store need better air circulation. Uncomfortable shopping experience. Way to get customers and workers sick when there's inadequate air circulation just hot stale air that doesn't even get sanitized with an appropriate air sanitizing spray. Like seriously target a large billionaires corporation can't even turn on appropriate air-condition over summer and in cooler months it's too hot when ots not even needed I mean come on people wearing sweaters and workers dressed up not needing heat. The toilets were also nasty like nobody cleaning toilet paper on the floor. There were no sanitizing wipes to wipe my cart. Then on my other visit I see people bringing in pet dogs which are not allowed and a health code violation. Will not be buying my groceries from here because of that. Not just that but on my last several visits I see entire pallets of food out on the floor being stocked by workers and carts laying around with stock left for several hour out of temperature. I purposely surveyed the store spent several hours just to see and they just leave whole thing out and carts laying around with cold food out in the hot air. I do not trust the safety of the yogurt being out for too long. I am no longer going to shop here just because of these issues. Take the dogs out of your store stop being so attached to your customers and obey the law. Your not above the law just because your a large Corp. Same with food guidelines stop leaving perishables out in the warm for hours on out read more

Was at Target today, every thing was fine until checkout. First no signage, second, more people trying unsuccessfully to direct traffic than actually ringing people up. How hard is this folks get the dots on the floor at six foot intervals, get more people checking out so guests can get going; total amateur hour! read more

Best Target ever! Drive-up is easy and staff always go above and beyond to help (like squeezing a 65" tv on a med size car lol)

This target has barely anything unfortunately and the customer service was subpar. Also, don't park your car there. I parked my Tesla, went inside target for a few minutes, walked back outside and decided to walk literally steps away to a small shop next door just to check if they were open and was gone MAYBE 10 minutes TOPS. When I came back, there was a lock key guy and a tow truck ready to tow my Tesla LOL. Luckily they couldn't get it open and teslas have a theft mode where all tires lock and the car won't move. The lock key guy said I was lucky I went back before the tow truck had started "trying" to tow my car. The guy also said they keep a tow truck on the property at all times for this specific reason and then charge $450-$600 to get your car back. It's a money grab for this specific location. I understand if I had left the car there for a few hours or even an hour. But 10 minutes??? Seriously? read more

The Howard Street (Evanston) Target confirmed my purchase of a window air-conditioner on sale, then e-mailed 1.5 hours later to say sorry oops, we didn't have one at all. I then had to get on the phone with someone from Red Card (Target's house card that gives a five percent discount) in order to get the original "order" cancelled and open up my credit again. (Thanks "loads", Target Evanston, for spinning that mistake to your advantage and not to the customer's.) By contrast, the remodeled Peterson Avenue Target (Rogers Park / Edgewater) was great -- they had three of the same A/C units on sale and were happy to hold one for me with no take-backs. As many have said, the cart escalator works well, and getting in and out was much easier than I would have thought. Possibly this Target's groceries cost more than at the ones to the north -- I don't know, as I mostly buy food from Walmart or Devon Market anyway. read more
