Until you are inspired by fellow Yelper Kristin S. to match the theme of the event, Taste of India. Now you know there is only one place to go and that is Devon Avenue. (Note to self, make sure you have cash next time you come here looking for a bargain.) My daughter and I were directed to this store after I pointedly asked in another boutique, "Do you have Kurtas that would fit ME?" This was indeed the place and once inside we quickly got down to business as the most amazing salesclerks ran their eyes down my body and when they looked at me I quickly added, "I would like it to not be very expensive." They pretended I was their dream client (chubby and cheap, yay!) and brought me out Kurtas from everywhere. None really had sizes or prices marked on them. Me: What size is this? Answer: Your size Me: How much does it cost? Answer: I give you good price, better if you have cash. I tried on and tried on and if I didn't think it would fit I was assured they had a tailor who would make it fit. We actually had a ton of fun and of course you realize you are going to buy one and so we did. The two ladies who worked here had made it their mission to please us, it was simply amazing customer service. (And if you have buyer's remorse, well as the signs everywhere stated, No returns! No exchanges!) And it turned out to indeed be my size and a good price! Viceroy of India, here I come!

Hamid Mirza and his team are amazingly professional and they will walk you through what you need. Now that it's my own wedding to dress up for, I trusted Chandni Exclusive and they did not disappoint. They managed to capture exactly what I wanted to custom order and didn't miss a single detail that I wanted. It even came in less than a month! She bragged about her 25 years of business experience but had the worst customer service attitude imaginable. We went to this store with my family to shop for clothes. The arrogant woman working there showed us three dresses and started making judgmental comments. Her first comment was, "We can't open every dress to try. You can put it against your body to see if you like it." Then, she started pushing my daughters to buy the dress she was forcing on them. When my daughter said she wasn't sure about it, she made a second comment, "Then why did you try it on if you weren't sure about it?" I was done with her stupid attitude and just wanted to avoid any more ridiculous comments. So, I asked her to give me the prices for the dresses so we could decide if we were interested. She quoted some ridiculous prices (4-8 times higher than what we could find at Devon Stores). I told her that we would check out a few other places to make sure my family didn't feel pressured to buy these clothes. The lunatic woman flipped and started making even more judgmental comments. She said, "I had the feeling that you couldn't buy these expensive dresses from the beginning." She then said, "Why would you make me take out the dresses from the hangers if you couldn't buy them?" And finally, she said, "Buy something that's in your budget. Why look for expensive clothes?" I can't imagine that she had the guts to speak to her customers like that! She should be ashamed of herself and deserves to lose her job or business. Nobody deserves that kind of treatment. During our visit, she mentioned that they used to have three store locations, but two of them shut down. I'm sure they lost their two stores because of their messed-up attitude towards their customers. They're unbelievably pushy, arrogant, and judgmental lunatics.
