This store has improved from where is was a few years ago. Security, register staff and floor staff seem more responsive to the on-goings around them. Things are generally well stocked, and the staff will glady check to see if there's anything in the back in case the staff haven't had a chance to restock a particular shelf yet. Only real caveats are that the pharmacy doesn't adertise what they only carry behind the counter (diabetic supplies) so you have to ask, and the in-store Pizza Hut is a ghost-station (as always). I do wish the Starbucks would re-open the area they closed down during the pandemic, but that modification seems like it's permanent, for now at least. read more

Target 360 is a terrible deal As a best case, they charge a $1.00 fee on every pickup order, and claim it's a "bag tax" - even through Chicago charges only 7 cents for a bag. This is after a person has paid a yearly membership fee for "free" delivery or pickup. There is nothing "free" about it. read more

I used to love shopping at this Target back in 2024. I spent a good chunk of my stimulus check here during the pandemic. Ever since DEI rollbacks in the beginning of 2025 I have felt less joy and more dread going into any location. The vibes are off. What used to be a mecca of joyous queer energy mixed with straight house wives and the occasional homeless person seeking shelter has now become overrun with crotchety angry people who hate their job. Going just yesterday there was nothing in my size in the denim department, the clearance looked like it had been hit by an earthquake with all the product on the floor, and on my way into the fitting room I heard a staff member talking about "sending all the illegals back." He was crashing out on a rant separating immigrants in this country from the rest of the human race. I wasn't even trying to listen to him - he was just that loud, and then in the fitting room after trying on 5 pieces of swimwear, I could STILL hear him!!! (No one helped us into the fitting room btw - we just kinda showed the cameras and went for it). Why was this conversation happening on the sales floor in-uniform? The whole experience didn't make me want to buy anything from Target ever again. In fact, it made me want to shoplift considering how little we care about people's lives: why would they care about a $30 product. (But I don't steal) Most things here I could find for better price at a TJMaxxx which is quickly becoming my new retail therapy/luxury necessities shopping of choice. Target is dead. I had two weird interactions at the drive up and go. I was parked in space 5 waiting for my order to process and an employee walked up to my window after 12 minutes of waiting and asked if I was waiting for something. I mean, I don't just park at the drive up and go for the heck of it I'm obviously waiting for my order. The way she approached me was weird. I left and came back with my fiancé only to have an even more weird interaction with another employee who had glasses and a low ponytail. My fiancé and I looked at each other and said, "what the heck was that? So weird." I think the employees need proper training. It's not hard to be kind it's actually free. How hard is it to hand over the things with a proper greeting and smooth interaction? The people who work here are awkward as hell and lack social skills. read more

I have now been to this store 3 times in the last 24 hours. Last night, there was a driver acting erratically in the parking garage, leading to safety concerns. I flagged with security just as a precaution and they proceeded to take actions that would only escalate things, causing me to leave the store. I called and spoke to manager Brandon, who was very helpful and said he'd give a $10 gift card that I could pick up today. When I went to pick it up, the manager on duty said they'd heard nothing from him. I ended up walking out after they said another manager was called and then they didn't come down. I then came in tonight. Brandon told the other staff via walkie talkie I'd already been given it (not true) and was not wanting to even take the time to talk to me, until I really pushed. He was rude and dismissive with me saying, in an angry tone, that they said they'd given it to me. Only after I talked about not shopping there anymore and told him to look and find it, did he look, say he didn't have it, then seconds later magically finds the gift card and gives it to me with a very nonchalant "sorry." I asked him to provide something additional for the inconvenience and all the extra trips and he said he couldn't do more. What an awful experience. Find another location. read more

No problems. The parking lot is cavernous. Quite a few drive-up parking spots. Internet connectivity can be iffy, though. Earlier in the pandemic I had to tell the app I was there before I got underground or it wouldn't let me, but it's been better in recent months. read more

I shop at several Targets in the city and I keep coming back to this location the most often. Two floors, spacious layout, and they have all my essentials making it a one-stop shop. This is literally the best target in Chicago. That does not mean it's the best target but for a major city yes. Parking lot elevator Starbucks . Great book section that updates pretty regularly. The grocery section could be expanded and sometimes the meat looks sketch but mostly when they have deals that are too good to be true. You can find some really helpful workers depending on who you talk to. read more

This store is always out of stock on so many things all the time, even a year and a half after the Pandemic hit. I included some photos and even wrote corporate about it. That's one big problem. The staff was helpful in helping me search, but the best they could do was advise me to go and buy a box of disposable Utensils which was not what I think patrons buying food should have to do. read more

Honestly where to begin. I'll tell you where. Three weeks ago I went into this location and wanted to purchase Gatorade powder... there was no Gatorade powder... so you may be wondering why the five stars then David. And I'll tell ya. There was a very friendly attendant who helped me search and it was just a supply chain issue so no harm no foul. This target is HUGE. And I'm not saying huge like a coffee from Starbucks is huge but huge like it could fit at least 27 Toyotas and still have room for a wedding. read more

If I had written this review a year ago, it would have gotten 3 stars. This is a my go to Target, but I would just get pissy because they had these great big carts (nice) but small ass aisles once you got off the main aisles. It was next to impossible to squeeze by racks of items in certain sections. Went in there the other day and praise the Target Red Card, the first floor has been arranged to allow those big red carts to move freely through the aisles. First time in a long time I have been in there and wasn't cussing about running into rack of clothes, handbags, shoes, etc. They also rearranged the wine and liquor section. Looks like they expanded the sparkling wine section as well. I love that it is all in one aisle. The staff is always helpful and there seems to be plenty of them around. They do try to keep lines moving along, although the slow downs seem to be customers when I have been there not ready to pay, wanting to argue over the difference of twenty-five cents (I have given people the difference on more than once occasion to just move the line along). I love the underground parking, especially when the weather is crappy. And this is a pretty big Target, spread out over two floors. With the new layout, I definitely am loving this Target. And it is conveniently across the street from Aldi. If this place had a Freshii instead of pizza, I would give them 4.5 stars. read more

Two fitting rooms and both were "under construction" it's one of the bigger targets in the city but it can't even keep its fitting rooms open. Very frustrating and I had to buy clothes and then try them on in the dirty bathroom and then wait in line to return them. Yuck. read more

It's just your typical Target store. It's pretty easy to find what you're looking for and it's super clean. This location also has a grocery store that's a tad more expensive than other grocery stores in the neighborhood. Just like every other Target this location has plenty of employees walking around if you have any questions. The only issue i have with this particular Target is that it's in the middle of the hood and has lunatics just outside it's doors. So be careful when coming to this location. read more

Not my favorite Target to visit but it is a good option whenever I am at that part of town. It just seems like it is always in constant disarray and I can't seem to figure out where any section is. I also end up encountering a lot of homeless people at this location and that doesn't make for a good shopping experience for me. Don't even feel comfortable shopping here. I decided to visit this location to do a return on my children's clothes ( Cat & Jack). The employees at the counter were unknowledgeable & unprofessional. I mean , either that , or they were just prejudice. Two separate employees attempted to tell me that I cannot make the return ; they recited some robotic jargon in an attempt to discourage me but , I knew for a fact that they were in the wrong. In comes Jeff , the manager & suddenly the employee is ready to go through with the transaction. I asked Jeff why was I given such a hard time & he claimed they were going to have a group meeting. This target has gone waaaayyyy downhill. I don't know what's been going on for the last 6 months, but shelves are always sparse and unstocked. Entire freezer aisles are always at 1/4 capacity, boxes are damaged, it is unorganized. It will be 3-4 weeks before something common is restocked (like frozen pizza or starbursts). Same in other aisles. Even display endcaps will go weeks on end looking like crap with sparse items and a bunch of stuff that doesn't belong there and doesn't get moved for days. Idk if they are planning on closing this target or something, but it looks like it's being pillaged. read more

I was here earlier today for curtains after spending most of the day at other stores. All I can say is wow, I was impressed with the options. I was hoping for extra wide (like 50 inches width or more) and surprisingly, they had some. What was cool was that this Target had two separate areas (one of them was for sheets). I ended up getting two chocolate panels. Checkout wasn't bad - I used one of the automated checkers. Normally, I don't like to use them because it kinda feels like you are taking away someone's job. Lived by and regularly visited this target for a year. Out of the 3 main grocery stores in that area- between the Jewel and the Aldi- my roommates and I always picked the target because of the bigger parking lot and overall it was easier to navigate than the other two. However, main reason it's not 5 star is that at times the entry way would smell like piss... I can't make this up. The one and only time we sat down to have quick bite from the pizza hut area we couldn't get over the smell and came back another day to do our shopping. I know this isn't fully their fault, as a lot of homeless people will come in to sit down/ relax especially when the weather is bad. for the most part, can usually get a good amount of what we needed from there. I don't see myself going out of my way to visit since I have moved from that area. read more

Honestly, this has been one of the worst Targets I've ever shopped at. Sorry for coming out strong - but it's true! I shopped here for a year because it was my closest target.... I love going for visits, picking up items, and getting some Starbucks. However, this place often is out of stuff. Cleaning supplies, pizza, clothes, hair items - you name it - they're out of it. Lol I always jump for joy when I find out they've restocked! It feels like Christmas since it's not often. Lol The staff is ok. There are some friendly people and then a few of them... aren't. And then the area - is not always the safest so it's uncomfortable to walk through the front door since there are often really rude and unsafe people trying to beg for money right outside the door. This Target was ready for business on a Sunday morning, two (2) weeks before Christmas. Here's a tip: if you want to shop at an organized Target store, come in on a Sunday morning because the marketing checklist crew would be finishing up the promotion changes as you walk in. There will also be staff available to answer your questions since there are enough people on the floor tagging, merchandizing, and re-stocking. Thus, come worship God of retail instead God in a church (jk)! Hubby pre-ordered the wii u for $249.99 (org. $299.99) and chose this Target for pick-up. The guest service clerk was friendly and efficiently found hubby's order and delivered it to him. The guest service is located at the main entrance, so it was convenient and you couldn't possibly miss it! On the other hand, other than the wii u deal, which was no longer available on the shelf in the electronic department (assuming SOLD OUT), other items in this department were pretty well-stocked. Hubby also picked up the Smashed Brothers wii u game, and the sales associate was nice, kind, and quickly un-locking the game and ringing his purchase up. Other departments, especially women's ready-to-wear, women's accessories, and kids's department, were organized, as of 1000 hours on a Sunday morning. Let's see how long this organization will last. Humans are vicious animals...so....you know what I mean. We had a good experience at his Target. The outside of this Target entrance can be a bit rough, so be aware. read more

I just moved to Chicago from Liberty City last month. This crackhead neighborhood really makes me feel like I'm back at home. The only thing missing from this Target is a bowling alley. My favorite manager at this Target is Jockster (real name Jimmy). He's a jolly guy whose obviously never faced the hard side of this life. He makes my day when I come in. Ok so people suck. The animals (barely above human) that perversely travel to this location on Black Friday should be sterilized because they are pathetic. That being SAID. The folks that work here are amazing. We went to get some typical Black Friday stuff and the tech department was amazing. Roberto was great, Youliana (spelling?) was amazing, they all were super nice. Literally as they are helping us the animals that we call customers are berating, stealing, fighting, and shouting at them and they carried on to STILL be professional and nice. To Target Managers: we ASKED to speak to you, to thank you for how kind your associates are. But you weren't there. That's concerning. Target in the Uptown area is worth the trip. I was in the market for an iPod touch. After having a bad experience at Best Buy in Lincoln Park, I decided to come to Target since I've always had good experiences. Went to the iPods, Adrien, team member, was right there asking if I needed some assistance. He is an excellent salesman, he even tried to tried to up sell me onto another iPod without being to pushy. I was out of the electronic department within 10 minutes. Even though, this store large and has two stories, it is very well laid out by departments. If you can't find an item, sales agent is always willing to assist you. This store also has a grocery selection. Even though, I have not bought any groceries there, I have seen a quite of few people buying their products there. Keep up the great job Target! read more

My only complaint about this Target, is that the sports section of clothing, such as Chicago Cubs, White Sox, Northwestern Wildcats, and other sporting team gear is very lackluster! If your looking for gear to represent your team; i wouldn't visit here. Your better off going to the Salvation Army; which there is one right down the street, or Ross. Other than that, i have no other complaints about anything else; the clothing section; electronic section, toys, and underwear sections are normal as for my standards of a Target. This Target has a great selection of Chicago pride, and other graphic t-shirts, which I've shared quite a few pictures of. This place has a garage for parking; sits right next door to Aldi grocery store, and easy to commute from the CTA bus, and sort of in the heart of Uptown. This Target also is not to far from CTA Wilson, but the bus would put you a tad bit closer, if you dont mind walking at least 400 meters. read more

I love this Uptown Target. It's huge and has everything, including a Starbucks where you can get coffee as soon as you come in. They have the best women's clothing/accessory/shoe section of any Target I've ever been to. Their jeans section is impressive and they have Levi's. They also have an upstairs with an awesome tech and books section. Also up there is a coffee aisle with Nespresso machines, as well as a baby section and Hearth & Hand with Magnolia home decor, which I really love. Not all Targets have a good dollar section, but this one does. I've included a photo of it. Their fall stuff is cute this year! There's also underground parking, plus it's close to the Wilson Red Line stop. I highly recommend this Target. read more

I had this Target recommended to me ages ago and I must say it's definitely better than the Avondale location...and on par or maybe slightly better than the Bucktown/Logan Square location. The store is quite organized and well stocked with friendly staff. Probably one of the best parts it the underground parking garage. Worst experience I've ever had at a Target. I specifically went to this location because it had an item that the website said it was in stock here. The first problem was that the website said it was in aisle TY23, which didn't exist. After circling the first floor once, I circled again to find a way up to the second floor (the escalator was out of order and blocked off, the elevator to the second floor was on the other side of the building). I did a lap around the second floor and couldn't find them. I noticed a sign to the Wondershop pointing downstairs. The item was advertised as part of the Wondershop, so I followed it. The Wondershop was just the Christmas section I had searched twice. I got directions to TY23 from an employee, she was kind of close, but wrong. I eventually found the display behind the children's section , but only for children's sizes. The adult sizes were across the aisle (still in the children's section). It was a mess. Men's items in the women's display and vice versa. And the kicker... The item I wanted wasn't there in my size, despite the Target website saying it was. An associate checked 2 other places for me but couldn't find it. He explained that they were probably on an unloaded truck in the back and I could try again tomorrow. :( read more

This Target is overall pretty solid, but I have to beef about the placement of hand soap refills. The foam soap refill bags and the gel soap refill bags are about eight aisles apart. Why on earth would these not be right next to each other on the same shelf?? We spent about five minutes picking out an alternative soap when we couldn't find our usual brand...only to stumble upon the foam soap by accident later on. Same brand, same size, same packaging, entirely different quadrants of the store. WTF. This is representative of an overall bewilderment which this store layout evokes in me. On the other hand, 10-oz bags of holiday Hershey kisses are on sale right now for $2.79. Dominick's has them on "sale" 2 for $8, Walgreen's $3.49 apiece, and Jewel $3.79 (yeah, I have shopped around for these). 2.79 is a great price, so I stocked up--'tis the season to get morbidly obese on chocolate! Oh, and it seems like the large asshole majority of parking-garage patrons are too lazy to push their carts ten meters to the nearest corral, so Target ought to send an attendant around every so often to collect them. They take up numerous spaces in an already tight garage. read more

Ahhhh my neighborhood Target! Its never packed and annoyingly crowded like the Bucktown/Logan Square location in which is why I always came here even before I moved Uptown. Pretty big parking garage so parking is never really an issue. This is closest Target to my home. My interactions with employees and management: 1 Don't expect any service or knowledge in electronics department. They do not approach customers and you have to find them. They gather and talk ignoring customers. If you do force one to help you they tell you look at price tags (many do not have posted prices) Asking to see product in showcase results in being told a model on display is similar. No further information. They will walk away leaving you. They rush back to congregate with what few other employees in the department. They have lost getting my purchases several times. I went to business with service. - Management - They have none! When I located a supervisor to get help, I was told walk over to find them. Checking out, they do not provide service there either. Only 2-3 cashiers open. Lines were LONG! Management response was to start yelling use self checkout. I waited in line. The ticket price did not match computer price on multiple items. They also incorrectly processed items. When I discovered I requested a manager to help resolve as the cashier sad he could not correct problem once my credit card had been processed. They could not find a manager. When finally arrived we went to station to correct problems. He was already signed into another application. His manager was called to resolve issue. Oops he could not login either. He was logged into another system. He tried to get other system to log him out, oops could not do that. Another manager told him what he should do. It did not work. He said I was wrong, items were rung up correctly. I had to take items from him show him the price tag and compare to receipt. Then he was unable to correct or issue credit to my card. Third register, problems again getting logged into system. Only option was to take cash for items I was overcharged. I now had original credit card receipt, one for one item that return worked, and third receipt for cash given instead of electronic. I'll stop with final issue. I needed StarBucks drink after that fiasco. Bad choice. Only 3 people ahead of me to place order. Then wrong drink made for another and had to be remade. My order was taken and slowly completed. It was not made with proper recipe. Not sure what but my usual was unusual. I just took it and walked as possible to get out of store. Update 6/30/17 Only one cashier. Not my usual location when needing assistance from Target. But dude, two floors and an escalator for your shopping cart! A heated garage and a discount for having your own bag. Five cents of Awesome. And wait, don't forget the clearance racks at the end of aisles, way too much to look through in one visit. I should note for those that walk around with their shoelaces untied (because this happened to a child the other day) you can get your shoes stuck in an escalator. Remember adults, there are Red button / shut offs at the top and bottom of the escalator. Negatives: Only one set of restrooms for men, women & a family on the first floor. The second flood hasn't any and when weird stuff is occurring in the restrooms or it's being cleaned, there isn't anywhere else to go. (They should have a help button, for these situations) My only other gripe is store theft. I was buying a sport pump the other day and scanned through about six of them before finding a working one. For some odd reason, all others were missing pins and air shaft handles. Why would anyone steal the handles? read more
