In my opinion, this place is not worth the hype. We ordered 6 donuts to go (cannoli, smores, maple bacon, & elvis). The donuts themselves weren't exactly bad, but I've had better homemade donuts at a less expensive cost. I could also taste the frying oil which only made them less enjoyable. Not to mention the fact that we waited about 20 minutes with only 2 other people ahead of us. I would maybe go back to try their beignets and see if I have a different experience, but I definitely wouldn't waste the money on their donuts again. read more

When we arrived early in the morning, the place was empty so we ate indoors. By the time we left, it got pretty busy with lots of people for take out orders. Personally, one if my top 5 donut spots around the world (this bring said, I haven't been to too many other parts of the world). The best part about Beignets - she makes every donut to order. That means each donut that goes in your mouth is fresh out of the oven (donut maker?), warm, soft, and amazing. All of the different types of donuts looked phenomenal, but we decided to stick to 4 for the three of us. By far my favorite, and by recommendation of the owner, was the Cinnabon donut, which tasted like a reincarnation of the classic buns in the form of a donut. Next was the Boston - slightly different but delicious take on the standard Boston Cream with the cream on the outside and a variation on the typical chocolate icing. After that was the toffee - caramel icing with chopped toffee pieces that gave it the flavor of a rich toffee bar with the texture of fluff and clouds. Finally, the Oreo explosion was a simple vanilla icing with crushed Oreos on top. Simple recipe, but the freshness and warmth of the donut rendered it exquisite. These tasty, made to order pastries are worth a trip to this shop. Every time we are in the area we try to arrange our schedule to be able to stop in for an order (or two) of the beignets with cinnamon and sugar. They are light and tasty little calorie bombs. The donuts are also excellent. Service has always been great, although we did run into an interesting situation on the Saturday before Easter. I noted a sign at the register stating that they automatically added 3% to credit card payments to offset rising costs, so I gave the young lady a five dollar bill, some dollar coins, and a Kennedy half dollar to pay for my order. She was completely confused and said "what are these?" about the coins. I told her it was a half-dollar coin and dollar coins. (Yes, American.) She said she "didn't think her boss would let her take those since nobody would want them." And then handed them back to me. It was rather obvious that she'd never seen a dollar coin or a Kennedy half dollar, so I just pulled out some paper one-dollar bills - much to her relief. I would have thought that someone who worked a cash register should know what the legal tender looks like! But she was very young, we've all been using plastic due to Covid, and so she can be excused. Unfortunately, the other young woman working there had no idea about the coins, either. Perhaps something "the boss" might want to go over with them, sometime? Then again, the grown woman in line behind me piped up when the young woman was confused about the half dollar and said "oh, that's a silver dollar!". (Not quite.) Still would go back again for those pastries - but will be sure to have a stack of paper money with me. ;) It's worth a drive out of your way if you're even remotely close to Denville. read more

Beignets have the most delicious fresh donuts! They make them to order so you are eating the freshest donuts possible and it really makes a difference. They're soft on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside, and tastes so good. They also have a variety of toppings to customize the donuts. We got a dozen when we went but my favorites were the Lemon Pucker, Logan's Oreo Explosion, and Destinees Choc PB Dream! Now a days, gourmet doughnuts can be too much with their fillings and different toppings, but these were satisfying without being heavy. Sure, there are glazes and chocolate chips or Oreo, but they weren't overpowering, just enough to add flavor to the donuts themselves. The beignets in my opinion weren't that great. They were good, but nothing to rave about. Affogato was good but seemed on the small side. I don't think there was enough espresso. Will definitely come back and get some more! I have to say that I really like the concept here of freshly made donuts. This definitely makes it a reason to eat these donuts right away for the best taste! This is a small shop that has a very nice interior and even though this place is known for donuts, you do not see tons of donuts on display to buy like the typical donut shop. And like I mentioned in the beginning, this is because the donuts are made FRESH! All the donuts are baked the same initially, as, they are all cake donuts. The "types" or donuts here are all created by their toppings that they have. They have around 15 different variety of toppings and I was able to try a bunch. Here are some of my favorites: Lemon Pucker - Lemon glazed with powdered suger - simple, yet delicious! Camryn's Strawberry Fields - Strawberry glazed with white chocolate chips - they were not shy about putting the white chocolate chips here, and it made eating this donut so much more worth it! Caramel Bacon - Caramel glazed with bacon pieces - If you like the combination of salty and sweet, then this is one for you! I personally liked this one a lot because of that. Logan's Oreo Explosion - Chocolate glazed with oreo cookie crumbs and chocolate sprinkles - This is a chocolate overload without the cake donut being an actually chocolate based. Like Camryn's, they were not shy with all the chocolate toppings. S'more S'more - Chocolate glazed topped with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, and a graham cracker - A donut s'more?!? That is a win for me! Strawberry Shortcake - strawberry glazed with powdered sugar and graham crackers - The topping of graham cracker made this a winner for me. In addition, if you do not know what you want? Then do not worry, you are able to create your own! Pretty much all the toppings on all these donuts are up for grabs, so be creative and create your own ultimate topping on this cake donut! The donuts themselves take just a few minutes to make, but the ability to have these donuts fresh is the selling factor here! I need to come back here and check out their coffee and beignets. First of all the donuts are amazing. There is nothing like a hot fresh donut. And the staff is very nice. With that said the space itself needs an overhaul. I was there just weeks ago and the dining/ordering area needed a good scrub down. In addition they are now selling CBD Oil??? And it's all they have displayed in the display case when you first walk in. I found that super odd. There was nothing else in the case but dust. It just wasn't appetizing. You have a great product guys but you need to figure out the atmosphere and seriously, you aren't a convenience store, ditch the CBD Oil. It's just out of place and strange. read more

This is an adorable little spot in the small downtown area of Denville. But this little spot packs a huge punch of flavor with some of the best Doughnuts I have had. Each one is made to order, nothing beats a fresh doughnut off the assembly line. They are small so you can try a couple without feeling to bad about yourself. You bite into it and it warm, delicious, and just has the perfect consistency of a great doughnut. It feels heavy like a pound cake but is light and delicate. I will be back. read more
