We were camping in the area looking for a place to eat. This did sounds amazing. So I was excited. Worst ever.i got the shrimp Alfredo. Oh it did say grilled shrimp. It was not grilled and was so bad. As a person traveling we look for help . Do not go here goto Ducksfoot bar and grill. read more

We continue to give this place a chance. We like frequenting lake bars and restaurants. This is it. We've left twice politely waiting to be served a drink, over 45 minutes both times. 2 weeks ago during a boat poker run they didn't serve nearly 70 patrons a drink because they were unprepared, with a prior phone call the day before telling Behm's we were coming. Tried again on the boat tonight at 7:45 and the lady said she wouldn't be able to serve us. This would be a real nice location to run a a restaurant. What a joke. Won't be back. read more

My wife and I went to Behm's on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend. After waiting over 40 minutes, we ordered chicken wings as an appetizer. The wings were horrible. They were very tiny and there was hardly any meat on them, they also tasted freezer burnt. The waitress prepared another batch, and they were just as bad. My wife ordered a Cobb Salad. The lettuce was wilted, and the other vegetables looked spoiled. Also, the chicken on the salad was nasty. I ordered a phillly steak sandwich with onion rings. They brought the sandwich with "Fries" instead. The sandwich was ok, but the fries were cold. I told them not to worry about the onion rings. When we payed the bill...sandwich only, they still had the onion rings on the bill. The waitress was nice, but informed us the cook's grandmother was sick and had to leave. There were two young girls making the food. We also went to Behm's the year before on Memorial Day, and ordered a pizza. They burnt the pizza, and assured us they would make a new one at the reduced rate. They forgot about us. After over an hour, we got up and left. We gave Behm's two different chances because I had grown up on the lake and Behm's used to provide excellent food. It must be an ownership/management issue to serve poor quality of food, and bad service two years in a row. We will never go to Behm's again read more

Horrible experience this past weekend. I understand staffing issues are a concern, but the treatment by the manager on duty was disgusting. The waitress on duty was left to fend for herself after only being 2 days on the job, as the manager was avoiding answering simple questions, taking a presumably long break, & hiding in the kitchen. During our visit we observed an elderly couple (family friend) sit at a dirty table & was left unattended for 20+ minutes. The manager on duty finally noticed them, asked if they needed their bill, when the elderly couple stated they were hoping to place an order to dine in. I am absolutely serious when I say the manager told them the wait was their fault for sitting at a dirty table. I noticed a close friend walking out after no service as well, stating he waited 15 minutes without service & that they were going to the Shack. In our time waiting for our food to be prepared there was another couple that I observed get up & leave citing lack of service. To reiterate a previous review, our situation unfortunately was much worse. We arrived on site at 4:55p on a Sunday afternoon & seated ourselves in the main portion of the dining room, our drink order was taken & fulfilled within about 15 minutes. We placed our food order when the drinks were delivered roughly 5:15. 2 pizzas, a kids meal, a shrimp entree, & 2 appetizers. From there we waited for a long time, we noticed that the large table next to us who arrived 20 minutes or so after us was served their burgers and pizza. This was the first time we felt that something may be wrong. We waited a little while longer when another large table, who arrived much later than us, was served their large order. We approached the server around 6:25, over an hour after placing our order, to see if something had gone wrong, the manager interrupted the conversation with the server, instructing her to not tell us what happened, & said that our food would be out shortly. Apparently the order wasn't completed & sent to the kitchen, & the inattentive manager failed to notice a family of 7 waiting without food or drinks the entire time. A few minutes later our chips & salsa arrived. We tried to get the attention of the manager who blatantly was ignoring us on several occasions, all we wanted to know was how much longer the food was going to take. Our desire was to get it back on the lake, as that was the obvious purpose of the day. We tried to pay the portion of our bill, but the server stated that the manager would have to handle it, who again was refusing to leave the kitchen. At 6:45p we decided to cut our losses, leave the restaurant, and try to salvage a portion of the remaining lake day. We again attempted to close our tab, however at this time the food was starting to come out, when we explained our decision to leave, as half our party including the children were out in the boat, the manager began arguing with us on the dining room floor, creating a scene. I've never seen such behavior from anyone in the service industry.... ever.... I'm not exaggerating when I'm saying it was the worst dining experience of my life. I walked out of the dining room requesting the rest of the party to do the same. A few more words were exchanged before the rest of the party left, at 6:50p, 1hr & 55 minutes after arrival. There were many opportunities from the management team to correct this issue, however they failed to provide adequate service. We have been very patient with restaurants as we dine out frequently, and understand the manpower crunch going on right now. In my past experiences when an error has happened, (which lets be honest they happen) an acceptable resolution to this situation may have been for the manager to come to the table, explain the situation, provide a reasonable expectation on the food to the table, and offer the appetizers for free to make up for the mistake, this manager on duty instead felt arguing with customers on the dining room floor was a better path. We obviously won't be back, and I would guess many Sunday's crowd won't be either. read more

The service was very slow. Waited an hour and 15 mins for food. My son got a Buffalo chicken pizza, very good. Salmon was way over seasoned, small and over cooked for $15. Fried walleye also not great. There were only 2 workers until the owner finally showed up to help. He told us it isn't a fast food restaurant, we were there for the experience. There is no experience to be had there. We won't be back. read more

Service was very good but food disappointing. The tenderloin breading tasted strange. Their tenderloins can't compare with the now closed Sunnyside Restaurant and the previously owned Behms. The pork chop sauce was too sweet. The best dish was the potato soup. read more

We ate here two weeks ago. What a disappointment! This used to be one of the best restaurants in the area! The staff were all arguing with one another and it showed, the waiters were YELLING at the kitchen staff through the window, and we waited forever for someone to even acknowledge we were there. I don't go out to dinner to hear about other people's drama, I go out to dinner to relax and not have to cook for my family. The food took quite a while to get to us and the fish was really greasy. It used to be my husband's favorite place to go, but I really doubt we will be back. The turtle soup is my favorite thing on the menu, but it is different now. The soup is really runny and didn't have much meat in it at all. Husband ordered the fish, I ordered surf and turf, and we had a grilled cheese for our child. The shrimp on my dinner was good, but my steak was over done and a bit salty. The grilled cheese was perfect, but the fish was just soggy and greasy. We are assuming that they tried to reheat it by frying it again, but who knows. I know all businesses evolve and change over time, but I think this one has evolved too much. Apparently our favorite waitress no longer works there and the waitresses that were there all seemed to be new. New staff isn't a sin, but untrained new staff is pretty terrible. What a shame. This place has the potential to be an absolute gold mine but with what we experienced it won't be around much longer. We're on the hunt for somewhere with good fish and great turtle soup! read more

My husband had called Behms to see if they had the walleye, they said only on Fridays, was all you can eat walleye, so we drove 45 minutes to get there for there walleye, after we got there we ask the lady that seated us if they were serving walleye, she said yes, walleye, the waitress came and we got drinks and asked if they still had the walleye she said no the whitefish, since we drove that far, we just stay there and ate the white fish. They should not tell customers that they have walleye, then turn around and say they don't. I have had better fish and don't have to drive 45 minutes to get fish.I probably won't be back. read more

Heads up: it gets really busy for dinner on the weekends so plan ahead. However, their mama mango daiquiries are life changing on a hot summer day after pulling the boat in for some quick refreshments. Very flexible when our large boatload all rolled in wanting cold drinks! read more

Pulled in to check this little place out. When we walked in there was a huge line even though there was at least seven tables set and empty. I went to ask about how long the wait was and the bartender was extremely unpleasant. I guess they have enough money because they didn't seem to want mine. read more

Really good walleye and food in general. Might be a bit pricey. The staff strangely seemed unprepared for a group of 7 during a pretty empty time of day and made several mistakes in our orders. They also have a rule in place where gratuity tip is automatically added if you have a group of 8 or more with you, which they placed on us, even when our party was 7 and an infant. read more

have ate at this place a lot visiting the lake and was very disappointed tonight. Havent had a tenderloin forever and attempted to get carry-out. I was told it was "too busy" in the resturant to take carry-out orders and they could not tell me even when I might be able to place an order. Really? Wonder how much business they are losing if I'm not as important as the customer eating in the resturant?? read more
