I came across Top Shelf Detailing while searching online for places to get my car problem fixed…read more Now I didn't have a engine problem or anything but my car window was left down this past weekend when it rained like monsoon season. All that water got in my car and my seat and car floor were absolutely drenched. There was also a nasty smell. I sent a message to multiple business on yelp and Ahmed from Top Shelf was one of the first to reply and even gave me an estimate. He also let me know that the smell is most likely mold forming and he wasn't going to charge for the drying part of the process. He was only going to charge for the shampoo and biohazard part. It was originally going to be a 24 hour process but there was much more water than expected so it took longer than I would've liked. But the job was done properly and that's what's important and Ahmed kept his estimate price the same when he charged me. If you are looking for a detailing place, I highly encourage you to reach out to Top Shelf Detailing.

Customer service and the quality of the "detail" (car wash) left a lot to be desired. The owner…read more(Robert Shrader, who leaves his own 5-star reviews on Google, Yelp) asked that I bring it back so that he could touch up the areas that were missed the first time, and I did, but they rely on sub-par methods, materials, and products. I had high hopes from this place based on their reviews, but I think most of their customers just get a car wash while they're at work and are thrilled with that. For a car wash, they're fine, but I could get their "full interior and exterior detail" from the car wash up the street for a fraction of the price while I wait. If anyone reading this review wants to save two full days of their life (time) and a headache that no paying customer has time for nor deserves, Jack's Wax Center in Essex did a phenomenal job detailing my second car over the weekend and uses all name brand products, shampoos, Meguiars waxes, etc... more than a garden hose. Jack's full price is the same as Robert's Groupon price so he doesn't feel inclined to cut corners any way he can.

Robert sent me a confirmation email within a few hours and the next day I left my car with them while I went to work. They were extremely professional, helpful, efficient and they did an amazing job! Not to mention their prices are better than a mobile detailing company I've previously used (who did a good job but I wasn't as amazed as I am with the work Meticulous did). Oh and I loved that they had a cute dog hanging out with them I really hope to be able to use them even when I'm no longer in this building.

Josh came out to detail our vehicle today and the experience was great from beginning to end. A…read morefriend of mine had recommended him to local friends on FB, and I reached out to him via PM to receive prompt, courteous and thorough responses from Josh. We setup an appointment about a week in advance, and he showed up on time with no issues. We got the showroom detail package (the car was in desperate need of major TLC), which took Josh about 4 hours to complete solo (on a two door, 4-seat, hard-top convertible). He brought his own water supply (in case we didn't have a spigot), his own generator (to not use our electric), and all his own cleaning tools and supplies. I pointed out to him that someone had spilled a drink in the rear cup holder and I haven't ever been able to get it completely clean after that, but he got it so the cover doesn't stick quite as much anymore, and closes much more easily now. Paying Josh was easy too...he takes cash or plastic, which I wasn't expecting from a small business like this. The convenience of having someone come to your house to do a full detail is immense. Dropping your car off at the other auto detailing centers means driving two cars out there, dropping one off, then driving the second one back to pick up the first...and it takes two people and lots of time wasted! This couldn't have been easier :) Josh was very pleasant, provided answers to any of my questions quickly and thoroughly, and did a fantastic job cleaning our vehicle. Kudos to Josh for a great first impression!
