Behavior Frontiers was with us from the beginning of our son's autism diagnosis. We were clueless about autism and how to manage our son's behaviors. He was scripting, eloping, not listening, no eye contact, and had major tantrums. During implementation the staff were all very caring and professional. They made us feel comfortable in an area that was very foreign. After the first few months of sessions we saw a major improvement in our son's behaviors. He had his first original dialogue and I almost cried I was so happy. They taught us how to prime our son before we go on outings so there would be less of a chance of tantrums. We have been with Behavior Frontiers for over 2 years now and they have helped us improve the quality of life for our son. read more

I contacted Behavior Frontiers about ABA services for my daughter and was put on a waitlist. When I asked for even a rough timeframe of how long the wait might be, I was given nothing -- no estimate, no range, just "we'll call you when a spot opens." That's not helpful when you're trying to plan care for your child. Later, someone whose son already receives services from Behavior Frontiers followed up on our behalf to ask about our status. We still never heard back. I also emailed them last month to follow up myself and got no response at all. No update, no acknowledgment, nothing. If the company can't give a basic timeline and ignores both a current client's family and a direct email, it doesn't give me much confidence in how they operate. Very frustrating experience from the start. I now am beginning services elsewhere next week, with a company that can at least provide a timeframe and all I can say is "DO BETTER BEHAVIOR FRONTIERS!" read more

This company just told me to find therapy somewhere else because how tall my 18 year old son with Autism is asumming he might need 2 therapist,which is completely false one therapist is more than plenty for my non aggressive son this company just discriminated my son without even meeting him.they only like little children less work for their inexperienced staff.i will be looking into filling a discrimination lawsuit. read more

If no stars was an option!!! This company is a joke. Hardly anyone takes their job here serious hbesides Mr Max who passed away Ms Kim a therapist and MsJanet. My son was receiving services from them for a year and half. Half way through his supervisor suddenly passed away and he was awesome ... my son's main therapist Ms Kim was also great. After the sudden passing of the supervisor the therapist were left to dry... no direction no true guidance no one truly helping them help my child. Scheduling was awful other therapist would call off often ... For at least five months there was no supervision. No progress my son regressed horribly. When a new supervisor finally came out even she was personally aware at how bad they dropped the ball with my son. She apologize several times and promised she would help make changes.... Only after a couple of weeks i noticed how she was full of broken promises as well... so I decided to take my son out the program and Ivet had the audacity to pin the task of retrieving a table that was recently bought for my child and toys WE PROVIDED on his therapist !!! When i let her know we would find services elsewhere she was careless. Over a month ago I called the company to request the latest report they made on my son to assist with applying for ihss services since they were the last took with him .... I was told someone would reach back out to me .... Never heard anything !!!! Please find a better organized company read more

Let me start off by saying, don't waste your time with this company. Other companies who specialize in these therapies are professional, timely, and hire the appropriate therapists. My bad experience began when they assigned a barely certified therapist, who definitely still needed supervision, to my child who quite literally didn't know how to handle him. He made no progress, physical reactions got worse, and they wouldn't show up 8/10 times. Another therapist would sit on my floor and just watch my child make a mess with no direction or communication... how appalling. On top of the poor training, this companies scheduling is a joke. They aren't communicative, people would cancel and they wouldn't tell us, people would go on vacation and again... they wouldn't tell us?! They incorrectly reported how many times their services were rendered to our insurance resulting in false claims... the list goes on. Once again.. APPALLING! I was so disappointed with who they hired, I had encouraged my nanny who has a background with children diagnosed with ASD and is just soooo good with my ASD child (she did her own research and was able to make more progress with him than the "professionals") to apply so they could have SOMEONE more reputable... They denied her because she didn't have a car! Although she said she can take the bus/train and could even be available on short notice and will take an Uber! She was already more dedicated than half the therapists there and that was their no go... pathetic but not surprising. This company would rather hire terrible therapists that won't show up even with a car. Than dedicated, empathetic, and highly motivated individual that will do whatever it takes to get to their clients! How embarrassing. (All their therapists are trained on the job so lack of credentialing was not an issue) All in all, listen to the bad reviews of this company because they heavily outweigh the good. I'm angry because this company SUCKS! You will be much better off having your child go elsewhere and save yourself the headache. read more

Truly terrible. I called over a month ago to inquire about ABA for my autistic child. They told me there wasn't a waitlist and she could start in just a couple weeks. I was super excited and called the other ABA facility we were on a waitlist for and told them to remove my child from the waitlist. After a couple weeks from the initial call I got an email from Ashley at behavioral frontiers letting me know the insurance breakdown and that we were covered. I told her to go ahead and proceed. This was on 03/14/23. After that I didn't hear back from them at all. A month later on 04/13/23 I decided to call and see what was going on, and finally I hear back today on 04/17/23 that they are at full capacity. No apology for not telling me and stringing us along for almost 2 months. No explanation as to why they said there was no waitlist in the beginning. No nothing. I believe they strung us along knowing they didn't have behavioral therapists available, which is extremely unethical and immoral. They wasted 2 months of our time and set us back so much. I would never trust this place with my child. Stay far away. read more

My daughter started therapy at Behavior Frontiers when she was four years old. I was always concerned about eye contact, delayed speech, difficulties in group behavior, and communication skills. The staff at the clinic warmly welcomed both me and my daughter and provided us with excellent support. The supervisor always thought about what was necessary for my daughter and designed a program accordingly, leading to continuous discoveries and learning experiences that I, as a parent, hadn't noticed before. Now, at the age of five, thanks to all of you, my daughter has made tremendous progress in all her skills and has grown into a child who loves interacting with others. read more

Absolutely horrible experience working with this company. First, the scheduling is terrible. The scheduler would schedule Behavior Technicians on days that no one is supposed to come. Frequently we had Behavior Technicians cancel at the last minute, with empty promises to find a substitute BT. The sessions themselves seemed pointless and a huge waste of time. read more

Im going to be very honest with my review. When my son first started with this company, I wasn't really sure what to expect and to be quite honest I wasn't having the greatest experience. a lot of mishaps with Scheduling and I was having a lot of callouts with no substitutions. I voiced my concerns to the case manager, and eventually the supervisor. I figured I'd give it a little more time. I'm glad I did because things did get better. Management sucks, you can't reach Hr by phone, the company is not organized, they rush you through everything and training is a joke. Not a professional company to work for. You will burn out before you ever make it into the field. Also when you start working for the company. They act as if you should know the ends and outs of the company, the minute you are hired. No one within the company is on the same page. You're lucky if you know who your supervisor is. Expect random text messages out of the blue. Plus the reason they rush you through training. My son is receiving ABA treatment from Behavior Frontiers for 1.5 years. Although they have never been able to provide enough hours of ABA, (they are always short of technicians) but my son was doing better for the first year. After that, there were a lot of staff changes, and now I would not recommend this place anymore. The lack of professionalism (BT's, BCBA are late for sessions and do not even make up for it, some even leave early), do not provide any reinforcements for sessions despite requesting it many times. The kid may get super bored and run around, but the BCBA will not get any motivation saying that toys can spread covid (which was not the case at peak times of covid when we started). Even essential materials like markers, visual prompts, and pretend items (required for SDs) are not provided to technicians. Technicians spend 30 mins of every 2-3 hour session writing notes, which is too much considering they have everything on digital platform. The schedulers change very frequently, some of which mess up the scheduling and/or do not inform about cancellations. Then I ended up waiting in the queue for 20-25 mins for the cancellation hotline with a crying child, just to know if the technician is coming or not. To sum up, This place is not that concerned about the well-being of your child, and I would suggest looking for other places if one wants to focus on their kid and not spend time worrying about the session quality and hours. read more

I was against ABA because there were a lot too many restrictions, but I like the play-based therapy that Behavior Frontier uses to help autistic children. I would absolutely suggest Behavior Frontier to others. read more

This company was a huge disappointment. In spring of 2021 I contacted them. The initial therapist came out and made huge promises and told us after an observation or two they would develop a plan and strategies to help my son. She seemed very knowledgeable and had a few great ideas. We never saw her again. After a few weeks of visits from the "therapists", they still hadn't done anything with my son. They came to the house and just watched him play video games for the hours they were there. Staff turnover was another problem. I canceled their services and moved forward with other services. Today, almost 2 full years since canceling their services and they email saying we still owe 3k and have 10 days before they'll send to collections. Billing 2 years later, just another example of their complete disorganization . So they are billing me when all they did was send someone to sit at our house for several hours while we had to take off work to be available for these appointments. They never came up with any strategies, ideas, actual plan or services. Do Not Use. read more

Didn't actually get service hours with them only evaluations. The BCBA on the first meeting said my child wouldn't get hours because of being verbal. What does being verbal have to do with meltdowns. Regression in toileting and self care and meltdowns was not enough for individual sessions. My child qualified for group sessions but of course they don't offer that. Wasted time. The BCBA came once and the rest of the evaluation meetings the therapist was the point of contact. read more

My son has been receiving ABA for the last 4 years. The service was great for a year and then went downhill from there. Lots of turns over, unprofessional late and untrained staff. Managers and area managers don't seem to know their staff. Seems like all they care about is the hours and billing your insurance which by the way they screw up all the time. Screw ups on your deductibles and co-insurance billing all the time, and never bill on time. read more

I am very disappointed in the company and the unprofessionalism we have experienced. I would give a 0 rating if it was possible. Let me begin by saying that the 2 RBTs are coming to see my son are great and he loves it when they come and I feel horrible for them that they have to deal with this company. In the beginning things were good but since then it has tanked and we only began with them in February 2024. First Scheduling is horrible. They have tried to add hours, change days, and RBT's without consulting us. They have done this on multiple occasions and even fought us when we refused. We even had to have a meeting with the BCBA and her manager to complain and that did not work. Then when we have had Paired RBTs who my kid works with and then they have tried to change them again without consulting stating "We have a better fit for your child". They stopped listening to our questions and concerns as if they know him better than us. On 5/15/24, we received an email and short phone call stating that they were terminating our services in 30 days because all the supervisors and BCBA's quit in our area and they have no replacements. Instead of just suspending services, they are terminating them which means IF we were to go back we would have to do the on-boarding process again which takes 2 months plus. To make matters worse, they didnt even tell our RBTs that we were being let go and they would no longer be helping our son. Imagine their surprise, shock and sadness that a customer had to tell them that they maybe out of a job. Their manager has not contacted them and at all about it! We have left several messages with the BCBA handling our account and with the company and no one has bothered to return any messages. What a horrible way to treat a family but a worse way to treat a child with Autism. Everything the company promised and has promoted is a joke. They cant even respect you enough to speak with you or return messages about changes that directly impact your child. We are nothing more than replaceable "numbers" for their asset sheet. I have had a pretty good experience with this company. I do wish there was more of a communication between manager and parent, also it's a little hard to get a hold of our scheduler. Other than that I do recommend this company. The BTs are great and show they have experience and give good advice on what to do in every situation that we might have trouble with. read more

My son is currently receiving aba services from Behavior frontiers and he has improved so much . The staff is amazing well trained and definitely gives there all into meeting the needs of my son . Dad and I are both very involved in our sons therapy sessions and it fills us with so much comfort and joy to work with a team that is helping our son succeed!!!! I love this company and their BIs. They are very professional and make us feel so comfortable at the same time. I love our team My son has made amazing progress. There aren't enough words to express what great people they all are. We have gotten to work with Joy, Rafi, Marshal, Jaclyn, Katy, Cody and Samantha. They have all been a pleasure to work with. This business is so bad that I have to force myself to write a review. One star is given for the receptionist as she is doing a great job. My issue is with the gatekeeper, also known as intake department. They have a system to securely take patient info, but unfortunately, it doesn't work. Intake rep then call me to provide everything via email, which is not secure, and then proceed to not save anything. She left to go work at another location and was replaced by another representative who asked me for everything all over again. I got frustrated at the incompetence but still want to see it through. The new intake rep, Cynthia, then never called me back, never responded to messages left at the front desk, and, in fact, probably dropped my case. Whoever is the owner needs to fire the intake department as this dept prevent owners from making money. If this is how they treat parent, imagine what else's is possible? read more

This is BY FAR the WORST ABA center I've ever encountered. I am the parent of an Autistic little girl. I began in home service for her, after their inability to fill the role of an RBT to work with my daughter regularly, they offered temp staff until someone permanent could be hired. They then simply stopped showing up. No calla! No arrangements! No goodbyes to my little girl and the one person that did work with her before, quit on the company after just starting previous months before. Behavior Frontiers is the best ABA Treatment. Especially for autistic children. My daughter is autistic and she used to have horrible breakdowns. Now they are only every once in a while. Her therapists come 5 times a week 2 and a half hours a day. At first I was thinking oh my, I don't know if I can do that many hours. But it worked out great and actually it has helped me be more on track and consistent. She has been working on brushing her teeth by herself, she can now do that. She also has been working on strategies when she is overwhelmed and/or upset. Breathing techniques etc. They are so loving and caring. The person in charge is so awesome. Neela has so many strategies and ideas to help our daughter. I just am so blessed to have found an awesome Behavior Place that really is so respectful, follow the rules and is so helpful too. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about the team at Behavior Frontiers. They have gone above and beyond to support my son and the attention and care they show him put my heart at ease. When we first started he had two words, I couldn't hold his attention for long and generally it felt like he was in his own little world. Today he is a different child, the same loving and silly boy but with their care he has grown so much. He is now talking, can sit and learn for extended periods of time and so happy. The few times that we have had any issues with behaviors etc. we have brainstormed as a team to come up with what works best for my son. It is truly a program that is tailored to each child and as the parent I feel included in my son's program which is amazing! There is a big turnover of therapists, which is really not good for autistic children who do not like change. I know what they were charging our insurance company and only a tiny fraction of that (barely more than McDonalds) went to the person who was actually providing the therapy. My thinking is that unless they change that, stop being so greedy at the top, services will continue to decline. It's a shame, when we first started with them we had therapists that knew our daughter and she developed relationships with them. read more

Once the paperwork, approval and scheduling hurdles were overcome, we were finally able to begin ABA with Behavior Frontiers. Tina Saini is an incredibly hardworking and dedicated case manager. She meets with me weekly and oversees the BIs and the programs they are running. She is very perceptive, making changes to the team or program as necessary and going above and beyond for her clients. Sarah Howard is very involved with her teams is and working hard to ensure consistent and high quality therapy for her clients. Before we enrolled our child into the ABA program, we had heard from a couple other parents that it worked for their children, but that it's not an easy journey by any means. We heard repeatedly that it can take time, but you will see improvements. I'm here to tell you, this program works. Our son has been receiving classes for just under a year and the level of interaction he now has with us is truly amazing. The BI instructors we have are very attentive, patient and really good at reading our son's signs and moods. They are a delight to have around and get as excited as we do whenever a new milestone has been reached. The managers overseeing the progress are completely involved and have some of the most helpful input I've heard from people in this field. You can tell they take their work to heart. This is not an overnight cure and there is no one magic pill. We had excellent BIs at our house as well as a wonderful BCBA (she resigned.) Once our ABA resigned, we were forced to work with the Clinical Director, who had absolutely no idea what was going on with my son or his BIs. The Clinical Director, Colleen McKenzie, in cooperation with the Regional Clinical Director, Carrine Pilkington (who has never spoken to me or my son), terminated his services with no transitional services, leaving an autistic child without access to the therapy that he needs. Behavior Frontiers drug out the process, thus increasing the time that he will continue to be without services. We have excellent insurance coverage for ABA, but Ms. McKenzie unilaterally decided that my son's medical doctors were incorrect in his diagnosis and treatment and terminated all services. It is actually a violation of the Behavior Analysts Code of Ethics to abandon a patient, which is what they did. I have filed a formal complaint with Kaiser Permanente, Behavior Frontiers, Easter Seals (they are the company that contracts with BF,) the Board of Behavior Analysts, and have contacted the company that certifies Behavior "Centers of Excellence," as Behavior Frontiers has certainly not provided excellent care to our son. I urge you to stay far away from this company. Our children deserve better than this! read more
