There are Fiji water bottles in the lobby but no sign by them. I wasn't sure if they were included in the cost of the appointment or cost extra so I didn't take one. Maybe if I was bolder, I wouldve inquired. They sell a number of sugar scrubs and other products that you can use after your sugaring/waxing appointment at home. At 2:30pm, a technician came out with another customer who'd just finished and greeted me after closing out her appointment. I was definitely nervous but my technician put me at ease with light conversation and music (they let you choose what music you want when you schedule your appointment). I had initially made my appointment for sugaring but I was told that my hairs were too short and that wax would work better. I was a bit disappointed because I'd read about sugaring, but happy that my technician was able to provide good advice. It didn't hurt nearly as much as I expected it to. I was in and out in about 45 minutes with silky smooth legs.

Her new location isn't in the best spot because it is hard to find parking - I kept seeing signs for "reserved" or "permit only". I ended up parking two blocks away and then walking over. Unfortunately, i missed my appointment timeslot completely because she had a client right after me, but she was so nice about situation and fit me in as soon as she found free time to. Nita is very friendly, kind, and personable. She is so sweet. She did such an amazing and efficient job. She was informative, quick, and does her best to make you feel comfortable. The waiting room is clean and cozy and there are snacks left out. I have gotten waxed at other great places before and Nita is by far my favorite thus far. After the sugaring, she asked if she could do touch ups and pluck leftover hairs with tweezers; I truly appreciate her attention to detail and how thoughtful she was. It seems like she really cares about her clients. I am so glad I found her. Her prices are affordable too.

This place got good reviews so I booked an appointment at the Eastern Market location since it's near the place I'm staying. The night prior, they called and asked if I'd be willing to go to the Dupont Circle location instead so that the technician could fit in more appointments. It was annoying, but not a huge deal. I was getting lash removal & a new set of classic/hybrid lashes. I've been getting eyelash extensions for 13 years and this is by far the worst experience I've ever had. They were thin, whispy, pre-made fans that were poorly glued onto only some of my lashes. They started falling off almost immediately, and there were visible white clumps of glue that a friend pointed out because she thought I had crumbs on my eyes. One week later when I went to another eyelash studio, they couldn't even tell I had any extensions on until they put me under the lights. I would've been better off just curling my own lashes & using mascara because mine are thicker & longer than whatever they used. I've never had such poor quality.

This was my first time ever being waxed and Mia was great. She was very quick, I may have been in there for 15-20mins at most. She talked to me the entire time which helped keep. I would be lying if I said areas still aren't tender after hours of having it done, but they are. It's not too bad though. Just breathe, pull your stomach taut, and talk to her and you'll be fine. Also because of COVID, she has on a mask and a face shield so I felt safe. When you arrive you will have to text her so she can open the main door for you and you don't touch anything except the bed.
