I've been going here for years and have always enjoyed my experiences, but my last visit stood out…read moreso much that I had to write a review. I made an appointment with Maggie and although it was my first time seeing her, it felt like I had been going to her for years. She was so patient and helpful and put a lot of thought into what she thought would be best for me and my hair. She gave me soooo many tips and suggestions that I had never thought of trying. My hair has changed a lot after having kids so I have felt overwhelmed and a little lost as to what to do with it, but Maggie managed to give me the exact look I wanted and tips on how to manage it. Now, we all know it feels great to walk out of a salon with a fresh cut that looks amazing, but I am always a little hesitant to get too excited because I find myself thinking "What is this going to look like when I do it myself?" But after seeing Maggie, for the first time in my life, I got a haircut that not only looked great on the first day, but also on the second day, and when I let it dry naturally, and also when I tried to style it myself! I am honestly soooo pleased with this haircut. It was such a great experience for so many reasons. I haven't worn my hair down for years because I just never have time to do it, or it never looks right, etc. but since I saw Maggie I have worn it down almost every day and have gotten so many compliments. Which also never happens to me after I get a haircut! If you have young kids you know it's so easy to get in a rut and just kind of give up on putting any effort into what you look like but let me tell you, it is AMAZING what a good haircut can do for you!! I feel like a new woman! Thank you Maggie!!

She will listen and only work with one client at a time to maximize your experience and satisfaction. I just wish I found her years ago as getting my hair done is now a pleasure rather than a task. Maggie is a perfectionist and has wonderful suggestions. All of her hair color products are natural. I no longer need to sit in a salon breathing toxic fumes and have an itching/burning scalp. She genuinely wants her clients to love their hair and over the last 6 months she has given me advice on products, a fairly inexpensive hair dryer (salon perfection), and general pointers that are invaluable. For the first time, I am wearing my hair down more than ever because her style cut makes my hair manageable. The compliments on my cut, shine and color have been countless. Being a working mom, Maggie understands my schedule and has appointments that work for me. I now look forward to getting my hair done and it no longer takes countless hours.

I wanted something closer to home and somewhere that user Redken, because I have some experience with the brand, and trust redken educated stylists. I ended up seeing April, and she is for sure the ish!! She is super sweet, and recently engaged so if you see her tell her congrats! :-) she knew exactly what needed to happen with my hair. I had some messed up ombré, and a basically my layers were some sort of bad mullet/bowl cut. This girl worked some serious magic on my hair, it now is back to my beautiful chocolate brown, feels super healthy, and has a great flow between layers. I have been growing my hair out since about March, and was ready to chop it today, she talked me off the ledge and said "let me fix it before you wanna chop it" and she did fabulous. The salon itself has such a good vibe. Clean, cute decor, and feels like you're going to your friends home to hang out. They have some yummy snacks, water, coffee, tea and chocolate :-) I absolutely recommend this salon, you will not be disappointed. They are educated, knowledgable, super friendly and do a great job. :-)

This is a delayed review because I wanted to get professional input from other stylists before I…read morenegatively impacted a business at this trying time. I visited this salon in July 2021, to get an all over maroon/red color. For reference, I had dark brown/reddish hair. I had sent the stylist photos of my hair (color/length) & the desired result prior to the service. When I got to the appointment I STRESSED how important the quality/integrity of my hair was, and how I have had a bad experience with bleach in the past. She assured me she understood and that I wouldnt have any issues because I wasn't going lighter. Here's where things got bad... she insisted I lift my existing color because I had "box dyed" hair which was inconsistent- again I mentioned I do not want to damage my hair, and she again assured me this is a "Clay lifting treatment" that will not damage my hair. 6 hours & over $500 later, I had a great color and treatment- or so I thought because I could not tell what she had done on a full blow out. When I washed my hair at home, I realized my hair was terribly stringy, and when I combed it out I saw that an ENTIRE CHUNK of my hair was missing on my front left (so bad that I had to get bangs to try and hide the missing hair). I went back and gave them a chance to fix the terrible mistake- she offered me a quick conditioning treatment, but ALSO had the audacity to tell me she had noticed I was missing a chunk of hair when I had came into the appointment! So not only did she FRY my hair, she then lied about it and said it was existing?!?! Why didnt she mention anything at the service? Honestly... i do not know what they could possibly do to make this right, short of refunding me for the service- I just want to warn anyone else who is thinking of making the same mistake I did. The worse part is I had a great time at the salon with the stylist, and I thought we had created a good relationship. If this was all to charge me more- I am heartbroken because it will take years to fix this damage. I thought I was going to a reputable salon which is why I walked out paying over $500 dollars. Save yourself the heart break and do not go here! oh and i literally had it redyed a month later cause the color isnt even what I requested.... -_-

My review is based on my experience with Kirstie at Naked Waxing Spa…read more I did a quick Yelp search for "best wax" and Naked Waxing Spa was the first to pop up. Given the 5 stars I was immediately interested. Finding the salon was a little difficult as it is located behind the Cvs & Chipotle in Gaithersburg Square. My GPS kept telling me I had arrived when in fact I hadn't lol parking was also a pain as I had to loop around 3 times before someone finally left. I've been to the Symmetry Salon in Bethesda once before so I knew stylists had their own private space. I honestly prefer it over a loud, hectic salon. Your stylist can truly give you their undivided attention. This location also sells Balmain products. Super chic. You can help yourself to coffee, water and snacks while you wait. There is an ATM located inside as well just in case you forget cash to tip! All payments are made through your stylist not the front desk. I believe the receptionist is there to mostly direct clients and to book appointments. Kirstie was fantastic! I truly mean that. If you are looking for waxing, look no further and book an appointment today! She's friendly and professional. I will definitely be returning!

The woman who saw me (younger of the two) asked what I wanted, I responded and she started to work on my brows. From the second she put the thread on my skin it was painful and I felt like my eyebrows were being ripped off and bleeding. Later I saw that I did have a scar and bruise above my eyes. It felt like she was bitter and purposely putting all her anger into ripping my eyebrow hair out. That's how bad the pain was. Disclaimer here, I am from a similar area of the world where I also get my eyebrows threaded and NO, I am not some sissy person who is new to threading. My mother was a professional threader and I've had my eyebrows touched by BOTH novices and experts and I NEVER had any pain like this. I am very thick skinned and my pain tolerance is high but this threading stop in the salon run by these two Indian women....go somewhere else. I don't want to shit on the other salons in here and I will probably go here to try another salon but the threading...NO. Just full stop. She was rude too. I don't usually give a damn about that if you service me well. But the pain was too much to come back. And the result was mediocre. Not worth it for me to drive an hour for it.
