I finally got the chance to visit the new Arches Brewing at Atlanta Utility Works. While the new…read morespace is more stylish and modern, I liked the old space a lot better. The old space had a lot more character...and more beer. The beer selection is now very limited compared to what it used to be. They say they partnered with Cultured South to sell both beer and kombucha, but it feels more like Cultured South bought Arches and just has a limited selection of the original Arches beer just so they can still legitimately use the name and draw people to the space. I'm not a kombucha drinker, so the new Arches doesn't really hit the mark for me.

Was told that the chicken was fried, given a water and sat down. After fifteen minutes I had the feeling this was going to take longer than I had time for, I asked for the salad to be to go. The bartender said oh ok , and then put my order in...15 mins AFTER I order it. There hasn't been anyone in the kitchen and the bartender kept getting reminders from patrons ab drinks that they had ordered that she had forgotten. She also kept pressuring patrons to order doubles even when they told her repeatedly that they only wanted a single. After ten minutes I saw someone walk into the kitchen and 5-10 minutes later my salad came out. I saw the bartender talk back and forth with the cook and could tell that something was wrong. The bartender brought over a small container and said "Um it's compacted". They gave me half the portion of the actual salad. And best part, no chicken at all. At this point I felt like trying to get the correct order was futile and I didn't have another 30 mins to waste. The salad itself was the quality of a fast food salad. What an absolute rip off.

She made the whole visit feel welcoming and relaxed. We ordered specialty cocktails and a Pinot Grigio, and everything was perfectly mixed and served cold (thankfully -- nothing worse than warm wine). The bar area was clean, comfortable, and had big TVs that kept us entertained. The food was even better than expected. The fried chicken was amazing, and the Rosemary tater tots with cheese‑bacon sauce were absolutely delicious. We finished with the deep‑fried peach pie topped with homemade vanilla ice cream and a honey glaze -- unreal. A perfect airport treat. I can't wait to come back and try another dish. Highly recommend stopping here if you're in Terminal D.

We dine here whenever we have a layover in Atlanta and the food has always been a hit. The service, however, leaves a lot to be desired. Some days service is excellent. Other days you're waving your arms like an inflatable at a used car lot to get someone's attention. We particularly enjoy their giant pretzel - the sauces are SO GOOD and the pretzel is MASSIVE. The entrance is pretty unique, too. There is a super narrow escalator that takes you from the terminal up to the restaurant right to the host station. It can get congested as there isn't a lot of room to move around. The host/ess is quick to find a table. The restaurant itself is pretty good at turning tables, but they definitely do not rush to get you out. I've spent 3 hours at a table here before. Make sure you tip well for your time spent!!

The bar is literally a truly based bar, I had no idea they existed. Anywho, I met Leoshun (she told me to call her Shun pronounced Sean/shawn). She was so great so inviting so bubbly and bright . I got a Bloody Mary. The drink on the bar must've enticed people bc shortly after I sat down, half way thru my first one, a pair of men arrived and ordered the same thing. Starting out on my second one, a single guy arrived and then another after him. They all ordered Bloody Marys . Heck ya. But above all of this influence talk is how delicious the bloody Mary's were . Heavily based on the acids they put in Bloody Marys such as pickle juice lime and even Worcestershire sauce. Soooo good. Came with back cucumbers and olives . I couldn't have chose a better spot to get a Bloody Mary or a drink in general bc Shun was so great. I will def be coming back the next time I come to ATL airport. Thanks Truly for letting me meet Shun !

I tried one of their seasonal ales and it was crisp, cold, and smooth. I wanted a quick bite to eat and tried their dip trio with chips. It was okay. The corn dip was the best of the 3 dips. Overall, it was not a terrible choice but I just needed something I knew would come out quickly. The server was quite busy since she was the bartender and server for the entire place. But she was friendly and as quick as she could be for the amount of customers she had to serve. I think their A/C might not have been working that day. Unfortunately that made for a little discomfort while eating/drinking. It's an airport and I don't ever expect much. The beer was worth it for me. And the server did the best she could.

The onion rings were good but two of them were burnt and that was disappointing. They two King Hawaiian cheeseburger sliders were delicious. Also the pretzels were solid but had too many spices sprinkled on them. They were like an everything (bagel) pretzel. Sometimes it is best to stick to tried and true salted only - everything was too much of everything! My waiter was friendly and professional, albeit slow. In an airport, it is imperative to be fast when doing things like cashing out customers, but he was too busy socializing with customers to pick up the pace on these other key tasks. Other than that, he was good and I appreciated his demeanor.

We were lucky we had a very long layover, or we would have had to walk out. Everything felt as if we were an inconvenience for being there. The ambiance itself was rather uninviting.
