This is the same place as Blue Tarp Brewing. Actually they share the venue. Good people, good beer and good music. Alan and Tom, the co-owners of the space, are top-notch laid-back guys. They are also great brewers. Between High Card and Blue Tarp, there is something for everybody. Plenty of inventive styles and flavors, without the try hard vibe you may experience at other places. Bartender was really nice and friendly, and we felt welcomed. I loved the Key Lime IPA and also the White Queen which has one of the best tastes with a slightly spicy kick of habanero. Pricing is almost the same as any other breweries. This place is very casual and relaxed atmosphere, dog friendly, kid friendly, host music shows, art markets, and let girl scouts sell their cookies. There is plenty of free street parking available in front of the brewery. Definitely the place to go for great craft Brews, live music and all sorts of funky, inclusive, fun events. Can't get much more welcoming. I'm looking forward to going back soon.

Upstairs area for 21+ only, an amazing wood fire food truck that will deliver your food if you are downstairs. The couches were amazingly comfortable. Staff all nice & consistently going around cleaning. Live music that was not too loud. Cons: need to add umbrellas to the benches outside; add a 21 and up only sign on both sets of the stairs and on tables/door because people with kids were coming from the stairs by the food truck because they didn't know. Need to add cocktails or more seltzers for non-beer drinkers. A possible elevator for upstairs & a bathroom for disabled people would be a great addition although I know that's not always feasible. Husband loved his blueberry sour beer. it was refreshing with a very prominent blueberry flavor.

This time, I took my mom, who I knew would love it since we are from Kentucky, and growing up, she really loved the Nappy Roots. But more than that, I knew she would love the food. I had the hazy chicken pizza, which was absolutely flavorful. We each had our own flight of beer. We also shared the Cajun wings, and my mom got the No Static Panini. It was all really good, we had great service, and the overall atmosphere was good for watching the football game. I highly recommend if you haven't been before!

We arrived around 1 pm on a Saturday and had issue finding parking in their main lot. There is an overflow lot behind the building and there is signage to direct there if needed. When we arrived, we smelled something delicious coming from the on-site food truck, heard some great live music coming from inside and there were a ton of folks inside and outside just having a good ol time. Once we walked inside, there was plenty of beer on tap but I appreciated that there were frozen drinks available and with their partnership with Urban Tree, I was excited to see some of my old favorite ciders. The guy that helped me was super sweet and helpful. He made some great suggestions and I had a vodka blueberry lemonade, came back later for a water-marita which was my favorite. We order some loaded fries from their onsite food truck and the fries were amazinggggg! Huge portion, hot, and just the right amount of food. They have plenty of other stuff on the menu but the fries were good enough for the both of us. I totally forgot what drink my husband got but I do remember he enjoyed them. We had a great time just people watching, listening to music and chatting with folks. This is a good place to just come and hang for awhile for sure and we'll be back sooooooon.

The beer selection was posted right on the bar--it was extensive, and we were genuinely excited about the options. After looking it over, we both decided to go with beer flights to get a good taste of what they had on tap. For food, Wifey ordered the Chicken Tenders with French Fries, and I went with the Golden Chicken Sandwich. The beer flights came out quickly and were clearly labeled. While we sat at the bar, some old-school hip-hop played in the background. It kept us nodding along while we sampled our beers. Not long after, our food arrived--hot and fresh. The chicken tenders came with fries, and I managed to sneak a few--they were perfectly crispy. My sandwich really hit the mark--crispy chicken with great texture and solid flavor. I was chatting with our bartender and learned they have a full-service restaurant upstairs, so of course I had to head up for a little recon. As soon as I reached the top, I was warmly welcomed by the host and staff. I let them know I just wanted to check out the space. Upstairs had a completely different feel from downstairs. While the lower level had more of a laid-back, neighborhood bar atmosphere, the upstairs was bright, modern, and a bit more refined. I even noticed some outdoor seating, which we'll definitely have to try next time. One thing to note: the beer selection upstairs isn't as extensive as what's offered downstairs. I headed back down, and Wifey and I ordered another flight to share. At one point, I looked over and said, "I could honestly stay here all day." Great music, cold beer, tasty food, and sports on the TVs--it checked all the boxes for a relaxed and fun afternoon. Instagram: @whatsthenextmemory

The old space had a lot more character...and more beer. The beer selection is now very limited compared to what it used to be. They say they partnered with Cultured South to sell both beer and kombucha, but it feels more like Cultured South bought Arches and just has a limited selection of the original Arches beer just so they can still legitimately use the name and draw people to the space. I'm not a kombucha drinker, so the new Arches doesn't really hit the mark for me.
