We visited this place twice in the 3 days we were in Clyde for a family reunion. The staff was super friendly and happy to talk about their offerings and the history of this joint. The outdoor seating was welcoming and engaging with plenty of shady and sunny spots to accommodate any needs. Although I did not try any food items (we were on our way to a BBQ), the menu is diverse and items coming out to others looked great! My son stopped in for a sandwich the previous day and said it was quite good. You may easily forget your visit to Clyde, Ohio, but you will not forget stopping in for a beer at Hall's!

They have a very extensive list of beer offerings. If you want a glass of wine, the offerings are very limited (6 I think), but you can buy a bottle of anything they offer. We told them we'd never been there before and inquired about wine. She pointed to the bar and said we offer those, but you can buy a bottle of anything we have... and that's about all the help we got. Charged over $17 for 2 half filled glasses and that was the extent of their hospitality. Lol! I wouldn't go back. I like to feel welcome, especially if I'm walking to a counter to order, paying at the counter and cleaning off my table.

Not only do they have a great selection of wines, they have an impressive liquor collection too. Don't be intimidated by all the choices of wine, they will be happy to help you pick out something in your type & price range. The prices are not outrageous, but in line with the caliber of the wine you are buying. You can splurge if you want to, but you can also get something for everyday without breaking the bank. I did a wine tasting here and I was really impressed with how knowledgable Zack the owner was not only about wine and the different types, but the different regions around the world and the grapes that go into making a wine taste like it does. He also taught us about oak barrels and how that imparts flavor. And finally he shared some of the history of the area which was fun. Definitely go here if you need some wine, liquor or beer!

This was always one of my favorite spots and I appreciate the variety of establishments available and wanted to include this on my small tour of Toledo. I positioned our stop at the top of the list after a quick tour of downtown and before a visit to the Libbey Glass Outlet and the Toledo Museum of Art. The Oliver House is a historical building with a view of the Maumee River in downtown Toledo. When commissioned by Major William Oliver, renowned architect Isaiah Rogers designed a first class modern hotel and located the building in the section of downtown referred to as the "Middlegrounds". The address is 27 Broadway St., Toledo, Ohio and it is the last remaining hotel standing designed by the architect. Venues: https://mbaybrew.com/ Brew Pub (2nd floor) Rockwell's (1st floor, River side of the building - steakhouse, open for dinner) The Cafe (1st floor) Mutz Sports Bar (1st floor) + Private Events + Museum - Bakery (this was my old favorite lunch spot back in the day) We planned to visit either the Brew Pub or The Cafe for lunch - the menu is very similar, but I had wanted to get a river view for my guest so I leaned toward the Maumee Bay Brewing Company "Brew Pub". Our lunch: combo 1/2 salad with quiche and 1/2 salad with chicken salad sandwich. $11.95 for 2- choice combo. Parking: ample - street parking, parking immediately around the building and a parking lot across the street Service: very good, friendly, efficient, attentive Menu: I will always miss the mussels; but there are still some favorites available on the menu.

It was like it was meant to be. Everyone found out the surprise accidently a week prior to the wedding thanks to The Toledo Blade but the staff here would have kept the secret for us otherwise. You honestly couldn't ask for a better venue in the area. Full of history and charm. Then you have the amazing staff there that truly go above and beyond. We only had 30 guests for our wedding and the staff made sure everyone was taken care of. Food was delicious, hot, and all had unique flavors. Which doesn't always happen group dining options. The Oliver House is where I got to marry the love of my life, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts. Will be dining here for many years to come.
