Stopped in after the ballet at a nearby theater. We will never come back. Waited 70 minutes for a table because they "couldn't estimate a time," and then got seated outside on a 50 degree day without being asked if we were good being outside. The heaters were off. Then waited 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us, another 10 minutes for drinks, and another 40 minutes after that for food. We were there from 5:15-7:40 pm for a burger and a pizza. Plenty of servers, open tables, just everything moving at a glacial pace. Even the manager was just standing there and watching tv. Beer was decent. Food was mediocre. Not worth the wait. Findlay brewing co was such a lively and fun atmosphere. It definitely stands out to other breweries because of all the cream ale options and non-traditional beer options. It was so fun choosing the flights the various flavors made it unique and fun! I loved the vanilla cream ale was the carrot cake with the brown sugar rim. Our favorite regular beer in the group was the Hancocked IPA and second the Oktoberfest. The food was delicious and filling. Service was laid back and friendly. This came up as a recommendation multiple times by some local friends while I was visiting from out of town. First thing to know is you will need to find street parking, but it wasn't too difficult. They have a decent amount of seating inside as well as a covered patio. The best part about the patio was that it was a day of off and on rain so it was nice to enjoy the warmer weather outside without having to worry about getting wet. They have a decent amount of beers on tap and I went with a flight. Our table shared the fried pepperoni chips, pretzel sticks and tortilla trio. I decided on the mushroom Swiss burger. This was unique as it has rosemary garlic mushrooms. The rosemary made it a whole new kind of burger. It was delicious. Game changer. My beers were tasty and I was pleasantly surprised by the El Cucuy which was brewed with a Carolina reaper. The spice was perfect. This is a good find for Detroit friend Amy B and I in downtown Findlay, Ohio. It's a brewery with maybe 24 or so beers. They also serve appetizers, sandwiches (mostly burgers), flatbread pizzas, and a few other things too. They even have a small kids menu. The food here is good and reasonably priced. Our server, Hillary, was on point. She was very attentive and quick to respond to our requests. It's a pretty solid 4-star kind of place. And Here's Another Taste For You: * I really hate restaurants that add a credit card usage fee, especially when you only find out when they drop the bill. It's 2024 and most people use cards, not cash. There's got to be a better way, folks. * I got the Chicken Sandwich, Amy got the FSB burger, and we both got fries. Admittedly, I'm not a huge drinker, but like to go to breweries anyways because their fun and sometimes I do stumble across a beer or beverage that I like. Since coming to Findlay, I found this place so it's been on my radar for a hot minute and I finally got to try it out with a fellow Yelper extraordinaire. Walking in the place is large, but parkings odd here. Angled back in spots with a parking garage kitty corner to the bar. They have a good menu but I was hoping for more beers. I kind of eyeballed the menu for beer and would've gotten one but passed since it was only 11 AM and didn't have time to down a few drinks at that time. (if they had been open New Year's Day, I would've stopped in and downed a few.) The menus decent, about $16 a person. They have a little bit of everything from burgers, flatbreads, appetizers and a small kids menu as well. Our server was great, she did a good job of helping us out and got our order done correctly. Surprisingly, they don't offer sweet potato fries here? Um, they should? I need sweet potato fries! The fries I got were actually good with some dipping sauce, but the sauce and I used it on my burger as well. We both enjoyed our food here, and I was able to finish every ounce of food that we enjoyed here. I love how committed they are to the community, how inclusive they are, and all the fun events they hold throughout the year. "we don't seat people based on the order they come in" this restaurant was a complete disaster. I walked in and was told 45 minute wait. OK, I'm there for 1 hour 30 min and we still had not been seated while other people walk in and I watch them get seated. we had FOUR people. complete bullshit. Awful. However, that was probably the bright spot for this visit. Food: The food was decent. Not the best brewery food I have ever had, but certainly not the worst. The pretzels and cheese curds to start were solid, as well as the side salad that I got with my burger. My burger, the Antelope burger, was just okay. I ordered it with a lot of pink, and it came well done. It was still decent, however it just didn't seem to pack much flavor. Some family got the pulled pork sandwiches and the bbq nachos, which sounded like they liked it, but I tried the pulled pork and it was SO SALTY. Not a fan. I had a Thirst Trap IPA, and it was excellent. Price: By FAR the worst part of this experience. My burger was 17 dollars. Absolutely outrageous. I'm always down to pay for a quality burger, but comparably, this burger was not worth over 9 dollars. The cheapest appetizer is 7 dollars, and it is just a plate of fries. Pricing here is ATROCIOUS. I understand it is a small business, but my goodness! The merch was priced well though. 25 for a long sleeved T shirt is a good price. Service: Service was good. Met a friend in Findlay..having never visited the area before. During the day, Findlay seemed unassuming enough...and then we went to the Brewery for dinner. So that's where all the people that live around here are on a Saturday evening! Pro tip: If you go with a friend, have them hop out to get your party's name on the list...we were 13th in line for a table. But, we were the first to be cool with sitting at the bar...so we got to skip ahead in line! Beers were above average, a pleasant surprise! I recall enjoying the porter and the mead was MIND BLOWING - but alas, that was a guest tap, and they don't allow crowlers of it. #weird The food also blew me away, I ate every morsel. Ever have antelope? They have it in burger form...and it was amazing. Leaner but more flavorful than beef, I am so glad I took a chance on it! Because where else have you seen antelope on the menu? We picked this spot for a work dinner and I was looking forward to a good juicy burger. I perused the menu and I saw a donut BLT and couldn't believe my eyes. THIS sounded like the perfect balance. We ordered some appetizers before our meal and man this place knows how to do apps! The fried cheese curds and wings are delicious. I also noticed they had a phenomenal happy hour menu for $5 apps! Make sure you get there before 5:30 Mon-Fri! Ok, let's get back to the best BLT I've ever had.... This doughnut was baked by a locally brewery and was baked to resemble a doughnut. When it was brought out I didn't see the beautiful glazed top, but I noticed they baked this doughnut special for this bun! It resembled a bun and was glazed, but when they cut it in half to make a bun they flipped the bun over so your fingers wouldn't get crazy sticky (Thank you Findlay Brewing Company ). I cannot rave enough about this BLT, it had the sweetness, the bacon was cooked to perfection and the sauce. The honey garlic Mayo sauce, that was the icing in the doughnut! The beer is phenomenal, the food is very good, the kitchen seems to be very talented and organized. They really put out great food in a very efficient manner. Can you please offer a few things on the menu that are not heavy. It would be nice to see, an amazing kale Caesar salad with grilled chicken. People are not eating as heavy as your current menu these days. Experiment more with easy and fun vegetable and salad dishes. I think if you had a few more healthy go to options your menu, you may be a little bit busier during the slow times where some of us are looking for a quick healthy meal. The place is awesome, super cute layout and decor, though parking when they are busy is one way street parking, so just know that going in, especially if you're not a great parallel Parker (ahem). What a great spot. Took a field trip to Findlay to run an errand and stopped here for lunch. Started with the loaded tots, which were fantastic. Also had the mushroom and Swiss cheese burger as well as the FBC burger with butter and Parmesan fries. Everything cooked perfectly. Tried the black IPA, American IPA (Hancock) and sangria cider. I had heard a lot of good things about this place and was able to stop in finally yesterday. When we first arrived it was very busy and were told there were two couples waiting ahead of us and we would have to wait a few minutes. We grabbed a beer (Good Grief Porter) and a wine (Khaleesi from Gilligs Winery)from the bar and went outside to wait due to the social distancing rules. We had no problem with that. 40 minutes later, I went back inside and asked when we were going to be seated, I was told that our name had already been marked as having been seated. I was pissed. Some how we were immediately seated at the bar at that point. After that things got better. I ordered a Passion Slaps pale ale and my wife had the Strawberry in Cream Ale and the hosain Barbecue wings as an appetizer. The wings were tender and the sauce was very tangy. I ended up ordering the Rueben Burger, an 8 oz burger, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, thousand island dressing and herb buttered fries. The burger was outstanding. Medium rare, juicy and very tasty, a great mix of flavors. My wife had the vegan flat bread. She loved it! I had a bite and it was very tasty. I want to give a shout-out to Matt who was working behind the bar, the guy busted his ass helping the other bar tenders and was very helpful to us the whole time we were at the bar. We met some family from out of town here this past weekend! Neither of us had either been to Findlay, but this place came recommended from a friend! It was amazing! We were seated promptly for being a 5 top and requiring a lower table. The appetizers were amazing (cheese curds and chips with a dip trio) and everyone loved their entree! I stopped in the Findlay Brewing Company today was pleasantly surprised. It's a quaint brewery with really friendly staff (and is very clean). I ordered a flight and really enjoyed each beer. My favorite one was the Strawberry beer. I don't know if they have it all year round, but if you see it on the menu, try it! It's not too sweet and is soooo refreshing. I also had an order of the cheese curds and the salsa-guacamole-queso. I would say the quality of the food was typical for a brewery but my overall experience was great! It might be a bit early to give this place a full review after one visit and on the Saturday after their opening, so take this with a grain of salt. This place definitely has great potential but I was pretty disappointed with my experience overall. To start, they didn't have anyone taking names so it was a total free-for-all as far as tables went. Come in the door at the right time, turn your head for a second, go to the bathroom, and you probably just lost your table. I'm hoping that will be remedied soon, because fighting for seats doesn't often make me hungry. Also unfortunate that most of the beers I wanted to try were completely gone. The food was pretty good for the most part, pretty easy to do hamburgers but they burnt the mac 'n cheese. The portions were a bit scant for the price and it did take a long time for our food to arrive.
