Loved it! I am often suspicious of places that have a menu as wide as this one: small plates,…read moresushi, pasta, steak, fish, they do it all. I can't tell if they can do it all, but I can tell their frutti di mare was excellent and so it was their Bolognese. Their fried calamari appetizer was good but it could use a different sauce. It is a wine bar so there are quite a few wine choices, I went with a vinho verde and loved it. The service and the atmosphere are excellent as well, a must try in Sandusky.

Not a date night spot. More of a dive bar trying to serve canned /frozen food off of a diverse…read moremenu. We ordered the beet salad in October to be safe. The beets were clearly canned, cold and unseasoned even! Then the bone in Ribeye we ordered medium came out almost rare and to top it off was thin as hell like a horse meat steak that the swindler that comes to your driveway in a truck tries to sell you! Way over seasoned to compensate for the poor quality. Absolute crap.... Like I felt like we got punked. 46 bucks for that steak? The beans that came with it withered and unseasoned. This is a sorry ass place. The waitress knew it. She avoided us. We came in expecting a "nice" dinner spot at least by the reviews. We came from out of town and were staying locally. Made a reservation by the reviews. What a mistake. Don't go here if you want food.

When in downtown Sandusky, you can't find better food, better service, nor a better vibe than Shore…read moreHouse Tavern. The place radiates friendliness and you truly feel like a regular when you walk in, warmly greeted right away and taken care of the entire duration of your meal. My family had returned after a long day of theme park food and I needed something lite - and their seasonal salad was just what I needed. It was a very generous portion with some of my the sweetest strawberries I've ever had with candied walnuts, feta cheese, and a delicious vinaigrette to go along with it. Skip the theme park dining when you can - or at the very least, supplement it with this delicious cuisine and friendly service.

Our first night in Sandusky landed us in this small tavern right across Lake Erie…read more Very casual vibe and everyone was very accommodating but seemed overwhelmed. For an appetizer, we ordered the wedge salad and the Buffalo Chicken dip. I got the perch dinner for my main course. The kid got a chicken sandwich and my wife got the brisket Mac n cheese. They said that the kitchen was backed up. Honestly, it was totally not an issue. We were just relaxing, watching the game and chilling after a 7 hour drive from NJ. What was an issue was...... appetizers came out exactly the and time as the main courses. WHY????????? It couldn't have taken that long to throw blue cheese, bacon and tomatoes on a chunk of lettuce and pump out the Buffalo Chicken dip and then worry about the main courses later. Now we have to decide, do we want to eat the entrees or even touch the appetizers. That alone always ruins everything. Food was very good. Like I said, people were very nice but you just can't bring everything out at once. Defeats the point of "starting" with something.

As CLAG Brewing's on site restaurant and bar, we had an amazing experiencing spending an entire…read moreafternoon just enjoying the beer and eating a ton of amazing food. (See separate review for CLAG Brewing.) On arrival, it was mostly empty as it had just opened, but were told it would fill up. That was hard to believe as the place is huge, with multiple bar areas, tables of different sizes, and lots of standing. However, by the time we left it was filled! We sat at the main bar so we could talk to the owner. Our day had started with other breweries, so we were hungry and I'm glad we saved our tummies to dine here. I live in a city with tons of amazing Vietnamese restaurants, but this place blew them all away with maybe the most flavorful pho I've ever had. A huge bowl, not overly salty, with fresh produce and great flavor. Some of their beers are brewed perfectly to go with these zesty citrus flavors, so you really can't go wrong eating and drinking together. As I knew this was my only visit this trip, I also ordered a plate of fried rice which was also fantastic and I loved trying their sauces with it. Prices are so reasonable for the quality here. If you're a fan of Vietnamese food, great beer, and cool vibes, this is a must visit spot!

Definitely a charming bartender helping to serve you we didn't try any food however we had a flight of beer. I wish I can boast how good the beers were but it's difficult. Sampled yellow Moon which is average. The S'mores Stout is not very good. Doesn't taste like Smores. Tried the PB and J Stout. It's is very different. Hard to determine if I enjoyed it or yet. Definitely has the flavor of the sandwich but looks like grape jelly and is super sweet. Can't finish a full glass. Definitely a dessert pallet cleanser in my opinion. Atmosphere is a big brewery setting with multiple tables and a giant bar with 3 large TVs. Asian inspired menu but again I did not try. An odd place as it's connected and an odd vibe but still glad we stopped in. Overall it might crack a 7 barely.
