We stopped for lunch and a tasting! Everything was amazing!!! We had a chicken pesto sub with tomato soup, garlic knots, and cheese pizza. We also took home half a case of wine. Service was excellent and we will be back!!!

I was in town w for work and wasn't aware of what to do. After a search, I saw the area had several wineries. Since this wasn't expected, I decided to check one out for a tasting. Firelands seems to be one of the larger and older wineries. They did their tastings at a table at their restaurant because of Covid precautions. This made the experience very different than my expectations. It felt more like having a drink at a restaurant as opposed to a tasting where you learn about the wine. You have to choose which flight you want to try, which again made it more like having a drink than a tasting. The staff didn't tell you about the wines because they were more servers. The restaurant seemed like the food would be good, but ultimately I was disappointed in the tasting. If you're looking for lunch/dinner or a place to grab a drink with friends, then this seems like a good place, but it wasn't what I expected when visiting a new winery.

Traveling from Cincinnati, Ohio and staying in Huron for a couple of days for vacation. My Mr and I was looking for a dog friendly Winery. We called many places and this place was it. Decided to try it out and was super impressed. If you want to dine in on the outside patio, you have to walk in the winery and let them know. Plenty of seating that honors that 6 foot rule and staff takes extra precautions to practice safety. Our section of the patio was perfect. Shaded and plenty of room. Our Frenchie was content. We wanted to experience the whole winery. So we decided to get flights. Domestic White $4.00 Barrel Select Chardonnay Pinot Grigio Riesling Traminette Domestic Red $4.00 Pinot Noir Dolcetto Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot Added Cabernet Franc and Malbec for 1.00 each. My faves was the Malbec and Cabernet Franc that we ended up getting bottles to take home plus the Sparking Brut. We wanted to stay for awhile and got two glasses. I enjoyed the Malbec and my Mr got the Pinot Noir. We got hungry and wanted to try their Pizzas (they also serve cheese trays and small bites) since it looked so good. We ended up getting the Margherita Pizza drizzled with Balsamic glaze. So delish. For dessert we thought we would get a Sample of Ice Wine tasting 3.75. That just hit the spot! I went inside and explored. They have a wine station and a gift section of TShirts and accessories. My Mr got me a wine tank and coaster. Overall it was a great experience and glad we payed them a visit. Staff very knowledgeable with wines and helpful!

Great place to go if you're in the Sandusky area. In Covid times, the outdoor seating is a great way to be cautious and still enjoy some time out. The indoor area was very clearly marked to ensure appropriate distancing. They often have live music set up and the seating is very comfortable and spaced out. We were seated at the outdoor seating, got a few flights of wine and each had a pizza. The cheese trays looked great as well.

Tuscan Apple salad and pizza made with cherry tomato sauce and topped with chicken, mushrooms, onions, roasted red peppers and basil.

We had a great experience at Firelands Winery last night dining on their spacious patio. The staff was welcoming and knowledgeable and the food delicious. We had a flight of wine and an individual glass. The gentleman at the bar gave great advice as to what to order. For dinner we each had a Tuscan Apple Salad and shared a pizza made with house made cherry tomato sauce. It was easily one of the best pizzas we've ever had. We will definitely be back!

Before my lady and I came to Huron, OH, I promised I'd take her to a local winery. After doing a little research, I happened upon this one, a mere 15 minutes away from where we are staying. So we decided to check it out. A promise is a promise, right? And I'm glad we choose this one too! Fantastic experience all around! I called before we left to make sure it was open and that they were dog-friendly. They said they're open until 9pm and that dogs are welcomed on the lower patio. That was cool with us, so we went. The place itself is very open and spacious with the vineyards all around it. All seating is done by a hostess inside, including patio seating, which is understandable in our current climate of COVID-19. After we got our seats, the hostess explained all the menus and how the wine flights worked, which we were definitely up for some wine flights, of which they had a great variety of options. The wine list was pretty impressive and mostly made on site (some were imported from Italy). They also offer cheese trays featuring local cheeses, garlic knots, and pizzas. We opted for their domestic white flight (barrel select Chardonnay, pinot grigio, riesling, and traminette) and domestic red flight (pinot noir, dolcetta, Cabernet Sauvignon, and merlot). We also asked for a taste of their Cabernet franc and malbec. All the wines were very tasty! There wasn't a single one we didn't like. Though after a few tastes, we decided to have a glass of wine each, and a pizza because we were both a little hungry. So my lady ordered a glass of malbec, I ordered a pinot noir (loved the peppery notes on it), and we split a margherita pizza. The pizza was delicious too and paired well with both wines. After we were finished, I was curious about their ice wine, so we asked for a taste. It was definitely rich and sweet but also very good. I think it topped off our experience. We enjoy the wines so much that we scored a few bottles before leaving (a Cabernet franc, a malbec, and a brut champagne). I also got a couple wine coasters (because they look like flip flops) and a tank top for my lady. I could easily see us going back here again. Great place with great wine, delicious food, a very relaxed atmosphere, and excellent staff.

    Great selection of wine.

Service was great! Very fast and friendly. Did wine tasting, very pleasant day, sat outside.

We had a family girls trip and visited Huron for the weekend! And what's a girls weekend without wine! We popped in on a Saturday afternoon and decided to forgo the winery tour and skip straight to tasting flights. They have a large screen with flight options as well as a build your own option. There were only two ladies on staff at the time and the place was pretty busy-- I felt bad that our group of 9 was crowding the bar but they handled it well. I did feel that little to no explanation or suggestions were given. I would've loved to hear a bit about the different wines before choosing sweet verses savory. None the less, the wines were great! We tried a few different flights before choosing some bottles for the table. They also offer cheese boards and light bites too! You could easily get full from a few of the appetizer options and some wine but we shared a few cheese boards amongst the 8 of us with assorted cheeses, meats, grapes and apples to compliment the wines we chose. The outdoor seating area was perfect for our August afternoon and there was plenty of seating for our large party. They also have an indoor dining room for all year tasting. They had a bocce course, checkers, Jenga and a few other games to play as well! I did find it strange that there was not a water station outside or even a pitcher option for the tables. Wine + 90 degrees = drunk in 60 seconds without some water to dilute the alcohol! They do, however, have water glasses available inside. Just a bit annoyed to keep running back and forth for glasses. Overall it was a cute winery and a great afternoon activity! Would for sure visit again the next time I am in town! P.S. though it is a Winery, the place is totally kid friendly. We saw a few groups with kids -- the outdoor games will for sure keep them Occupied.

In April I contacted The Winerie about a Christmas Party on Dec. 5th 2025, at that time I spoke with the Manager who was let go before our party. We received all the menues and contracts. We signed the contract and made the deposit. In October we never heard from anyone to finalize the menu so I reached out to the said Manager and I was told she no longer works there and gave me the "new" managers number. I called and sent numerous texts with no response. We finally called Winerie and spoke with a bartender who stated she would have someone call me back. I did get a text that said when is the best time to call you, I told her anytime before 2:30. A few days later she called back we touched base on what we had planned, she asked if we signed a contract and made a deposit as she has no record of us booking. From that point on I no longer had phone conversations with anyone everything had to be done via text. When I asked if someone could call she stated no she is very busy as she wears many hats. Fast forward to the time of our party!! UGH they had 5 tables reserved with a white tablecloth on them thats it no salt/pepper no water nothing. Okay fine we can overlook that. The food was finally served and they put out a tossed salad that was big enough for 1 person, when we went to ask for more they stated sorry we have no more lettuce in the whole place. We were supposed to get rolls and butter nope they didn't have those either. When we went to the bar for beer they ran out of that as well we had to change what we drank. The roasted carrots where hard the potatoes where spungy. The chicken was DRY as the saraha desert. The lasagna was very good. We ran out of food!!! We had to go to the bar and ask if they had any more they said oh yes we will get someone to bring more. They brought our more lasagna and some cabbage that they called a salad but never brought out any chicken. We had to ask for salt and pepper, and more plates. No one cleaned off the tables after dinner we had to bus our own tables and put them on an empty table. One of our guests bit into a bite of chicken and pulled out a 3" piece of dark hair that had food attached to it. The desert constisted of cheesecakes from Sams Club. No one came to check on us at all during the evening, we had to go ask where we were set up, and had to ask when food was going to be served. When we went up to pay they did take money off the bill because we complained but then turned around and charged us a 20% gratuity. Why, why didn't we get to say what we wanted to pay because we had no service other than the bartenders getting the drinks. I do not recommend this facility RUN!!! What sets this winery apart is its location--it's one of the few places in the area where you can sip wine while enjoying close proximity to the water. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the outdoor seating offered beautiful views that made our tasting even more enjoyable. Whether you're a casual wine drinker or a seasoned connoisseur, the setting alone is worth the visit. We had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of wines during our visit, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The tasting was well-organized, and the staff were both knowledgeable and friendly, making great recommendations based on our preferences. We were particularly impressed with the Pinot Grigio, which had a crisp, refreshing taste perfect for a warm afternoon by the water. However, it was the Cabernet that truly stood out for us. It had a rich, full-bodied flavor with just the right amount of complexity--a balance of boldness and smoothness that left us both savoring each sip. The Cabernet was so exceptional that we knew we couldn't leave without bringing some home. We ended up purchasing two bottles, and I have no doubt that we'll be reminiscing about our time at the winery as we enjoy them in the future. It's not often you come across a red that makes such a lasting impression, but this one definitely did. If you're in the Port Clinton area, I highly recommend visiting this winery. It offers more than just great wines--it provides an experience. Between the friendly staff, the well-curated wine selection, and the beautiful location near the water, it's a perfect spot to unwind and enjoy some truly memorable wines. We'll definitely be returning!

Prices about average. They have some food and you can bring your own. The issue and unfortunately there was one, was that there were thousands of fruit flies invading the place. I guess they crushed grapes for harvest and the fruit flies are a thing that happens. It was very annoying and obnoxious. Wine, food, and you had to be covered because the flies were on every surface. It was rainy so no outdoor escape on the patio. There are ways to control the flies. We didn't want to leave just yet so we decided to get a glass a piece for $5.00. I got the Sangiovese and my Mr got the Crooked House red blend. We thought about it and got another bottle to take home of the Port Blue as a dessert wine. All were so good! Besides wine this place has a lot to offer. They serve Appetizers, Meals, Soups, Pizza, Salads, Desserts, Beer, Mixed Drinks, Hard Coder, Non Alcohol Beverages (coke, sprite, Diet Coke, water, hot chocolate, tea and sparkling grape juice. The experience was great and I am so glad that we payed them a visit. I left happy and wine to take home back to Cincy.

I struggled with this rating. People were nice, wine was just ok. Chose the moscato but it had a…read morefunky after taste to me. Just couldn't get past it. I did have a taste of the watermelon wine. It does indeed taste like a jolly rancher. I thought that wine was delicious. But I am a sweet wine kinda person. Food smelled good and people were ordering it. We just weren't interested at the time. Next time I'll try food. Place was steady crowded and people were having a good time. So something needs to be said about that. I'd go back and try other wine and food. It's worth a 2nd chance. I just won't get the moscato.
