Boozy wonderland! Awesome selection of local Michigan beers and a ton of fancy (and not so fancy) liquors to choose from as well. The staff here is always really nice. There's a particular guy here who has held 6 packs of new limited edition Short's beers for my fella because he knows he likes to try them. Sometimes those things sell out so I've always been impressed by that. Standard prices and I like that it's on the south-side of town so it's not super crazy busy or crowded there. read more

I like this place. We come here for refreshments before the hot tubs or when we visit our friends nearby. When we go we always manage to find good selections. I like that the pop, juice and tea are all reliably cold and way more to pick from than say a gas station convenience store. Prices seem to be really good too. The store is super neat and tidy, well organized. They carry a whole lot of everything to boot. They even had a brand of limoncello I especially like, a couple wines that have been hits, James' fave vodkas and tequilas and some fairly obscure beers for friends of ours. Staff is super friendly but we have stopped in quite a few times and I think they know us by now. They always seem to have like three people available to help, which is rare in a party store. read more

The selection of craft beer and liquor is very good. I haven't spent much time in the wine section. The biggest problem is the northbound exit left onto State Street, during which you may be frustrated and/or scared for your life. But the traffic problem is partially offset by a reasonably sized parking lot, which is better than what you'll find in most of central A2. read more

Ok, I have to hand it to Super Liquor IV. I've visited multiple time since I wrote my first review, and if you're looking for a booze store, this is it. The selection overall may be better than Main Street, which is saying something. If you're looking for spirits or beer, this is your place. I can't really vouch for the wine, as wine is not really what I've gone here looking for. However, from extra tasty Darkhorse brews to Dan Aykroyd's vodka-in-a-crystal-skull, they probably have what you're looking for here. I've spotted plenty of products that I wasn't even aware were distributed in Michigan. They've also of course got your standbys, so if you're just looking for something cheap and cold, they've also got you covered. I'm old. First class sh**hole but they had what I needed. Very shady. Glad I was armed when I visited. Got my beer, wine, and purchased single solo cups because they were out full packages. Whatever. College right? I was amused by the townies who were purchasing booze on store credit. The clerk had a giant ledger with their names in it. My husband and I were really, really impressed when we walked into Super Liquor. It looked super trashy and divey from the outside and there was no one in the parking lot on a Friday night, so we figured it was just a crappy liquor store where we could get crappy beer. Oh, were we wrong. This liquor store has EVERYTHING and had one of the best beer selections I've seen since Vas Foremost Liquors. The beers were organized by region and labeled with info so you could read about the flavors and brewing. YUM. Tons of cold beer in the cases and a lot of liquor on the other side. The only downside: bad candy selection. I was kind of surprised since I just wanted some chocolate or something and there was nothing in the way of sweets to purchase. But, who really cares. I can get candy at a gas station. This liquor store is where it's at if you like real beer. read more

I have to dock a star off my last review, which makes me a little sad. I still like the selection, and I still generally like the prices (as much as I can like Michigan liquor prices). However, I had a charge from here show up on my bank statement that was much higher than I remembered it being. I don't think anyone here was trying to rip me off; I just think a price got entered in wrong. So I stopped by the store, and explained my situation. One of the employees went over all of the receipts from the day the purchase was made, and we were unable to find mine. I really appreciated his patience. He told me to call the bank and have the charge removed. I did just that. A month or two later, the charge showed up again on my statement. I'm currently struggling to get info about that from my bank, but that's another story. Now, some people would give a one star rating because of this, but I'm sticking with three because I was at fault for not keeping my receipt, and my bank is at fault for not keeping me up to date with the situation, and like I said, I really don't think anyone was trying to rip me off. All I can say is, when you shop here, check your receipts to make sure it's right. I also wish they would move to a "scanning barcodes" type of checkout rather than just entering prices like they currently do. read more

Maybe it's a tough location, but I've never seen more than a few people inside Super Liquor IV when I've been there. And that's bizarre, because this store is fantastic. While it has a liquor wall that's climbs nearly to heaven, it's the beer that really sharpens the nipples. The selection in itself is fantastic, ranging from every kind of microbrew to exotic ciders in hallucinogenic bottles and single cans of unknown delights. And not just a few! The wonders just go on and on. Whoever organized this store is a genius. American microbrews are organized according the state from which they hail, and many six-packs have placards with ratings and saucy descriptions. International brews are organized by country and region also, and the search alone could turn a 5 minute beer run into a 7 hour cultural experience. As for the rest of the store? I dare you to find a speck of dust. That makes it a far cry from other liquor stores that often have floors stained with urine, vomit, and occasionally feces. I don't "know" the people who work there, but they're always smiling and friendly. They embody the antithesis of arrogance, and will give you nary a look of contempt when you slam a sixer of Natural Light on the counter before ordering a pack of Newports and scratch-off tickets. I wasn't expecting much when I stopped in here. I was on my way, empty-handed, to a housewarming and was just hoping to pick up a semi-decent bottle of wine for the hostess. I was actually very pleased with the selection of wines, and they were well-organized as well. I browsed the beer and I like their selection of Michigan beer as well. I found two nice bottles of wine - one for me and one for my hostess. The prices are nothing special though they did have a few cheap wines for sale. Based on the convenience and the selection, though, 4 stars. read more

This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but I am so happy to have stopped in one day. They have an extensive beer selection including Michigan beers, large specialty bottles and a wide variety sorted by state. I feel like this would be the place to go if you were from out of state looking for something you get back home. The liquor selection is good, it's mostly behind the counter so not a lot of browsing. The wine selection is nice as well. Most importantly the staff are super friendly. Just very nice guys. I have not asked for anything specific but I have overheard them helping customers with unique purchases. It's right on the highways too, check it out! read more

This place is the go to place in AA for extensive beer, wine, and liquor choices. I'm more of a Bourbon guy and Sam (owner) and his team have really upped the Bourbon game in town. Super Liquor IV gets the top shelf selections and the guys there are super knowledgeable about the various options. I have also been super impressed by the hospitality and number of "regulars" I see when I go in. They clearly value developing strong relationships with their customers. It isn't just a business, it is a family that they like to grow. I would highly recommend this place for all your libations! :-) read more

I just love visiting local liquor stores when I am in a different city. I am a fan of trying out the local brews and not the name brands. Local store like this offer such variety and knowledge of the local brews. The selection here is vast so I will have to come back to finish my tastings. I like the fact that you can make your own 6 pack and not have to buy too many of something that may not be pleasing to your pallet. Thanks for being there for me. I will be back. read more

Super Liquor 4 is probably my favorite liquor store in town. Their pricing and selection is great. They sell most liquor (if not all) at state minimum, and will order things for you if they don't currently carry it. This place has an AMAZING selection of beer. You can buy it by bottle or by the six pack. If you are a beer connoisseur, this is the place for you. Lots of liquor though I didn't pay much attention for my own interest. Also, the customer service in my experience has been AMAZING. For example, I bought a six pack there once..drank one and HATED IT. They let me exchange it for a FULL six pack. Now that is customer service! read more

This place is THE liquor store to go in town. When my friends come into town, I take them here. Even if it means going out of our way for it. They have a huge selection of beers and liquors. I'm not a wine person, so I can't comment on that portion of the store. The people that work there are the absolute best. They've never made a wrong recommendation to me. Extremely friendly and well versed in alcohol, I will always come back to this place. I would strongly, strongly, recommend it. They have a selection of beers from all over the US. Not a huge selection, but enough to keep me very happy. I'm an Ohio boy living in Michigan, and I can still get the Great Lakes Brewery that I love. Even the Michigan beers have been all top notch. The liquor wall is unreal, I always find a bourbon I like, even on recommendation. I've even gotten a batch of 12 year Elijah Craig barreled right here in Ann Arbor. Feeling international? They've got beers from all over the world, in the cooler and on the shelf. Just win big in the Detroit casino? They've got liquor for your budget. Me and my buddy had such a good experience I went back later that week and bought a bottle of it for him for helping me move. We've even oggled the booze we wish we could afford, and the people working there were happy to show it to us even though they knew we couldn't afford it. But that's not even the point, they knew we'd appreciate it and took the time out to show us. I trust these guys more than any liquor store I've ever been to. Do yourself a favor and make a trip. read more

I am very impressed with Super Liquor IV. The new ownership that took over in February 2013 has really gave the store a turn around for the best. They have dropped the prices on almost all of the wine and beer and there are many great specials they offer as well. They seem to have expanded on most of the Michigan craft beers and other craft beers, domestic and imported. The store is noticeably cleaner and the remodeling has really impressed me as well. The new staff is very friendly and very helpful. One young man helped me carry what i purchased to my car. They are very knowledgeable and offer great service. Also scotch lovers this a must see! One of the largest and lowest priced selections of the finest scotches I have ever laid my eyes upon. I will definitely be a returning and happy customer. read more
