First of all I want to thank Peter personally for fixing my bmw; he deserves more than a 5 star Yelp review for the peace of mind he has given me! I had it with another mechanic for a few months and he wasn't able to solve my lean code, a few $1000 in and many trips to the shop with it not being fixed. I was at the end of my rope with my car when I contacted Peter in December. He was able to diagnose my problem within a few hours after I dropped it off (if it was the intake or a fuel problem). I took my car back to my old mechanic since my old mechanic already replaced my intake system (Peter recommended this was the best option to save me money). My mechanic had my bmw for 5 weeks and did nothing with it! I took it back over to Peter; Peter was calling me with updates every few days, what he had found, what he had replaced, giving me the option to pick how much money I wanted to spend, etc. I wanted my car fixed; I was so tired of taking it in and out of the old shop with the SES light popping up 20 miles later. I just picked up my bmw two days ago with a confirmed NO lean code (Peter drove it a good 200 miles after the work he had done on it) as well as getting it smogged for me! I'm so ecstatic that I can finally say my bmw is fixed!! I trust Peter's expertise, he is fair with his pricing and work; he is the best mechanic I've dealt with. 100% honest, I will not be taking my car anywhere else. I brought my 528I into Petes shop due to a valve cover leak. He replaced the cover supposedly and I was told it was a brand new from the dealer. While driving home I could smell burnt oil through the vents. I tried the air conditioner and heater and outside and still the same smell. I took it back to the Beemer clinic twice and he looked it over and said he couldnt find anything. I took it to Leo in Lake Elsinore and was told the valve cover was plugged. So I had a new one replace the one Pete installed. Pete charged me 1300 dollars for that service and basically threw up his hands after looking at it the second time and said dont know whats up with your car. His prices are damn near as much as the dealer and with that kind of practice I would never recommend him. Threw away 1300 plus dollars.... Never again. read more

The moment there was even a slight minor indication that there was no need to go all out for such a basic repair, he gets up and heads to the front door to start lecturing and disrespectfully hinting at "yeah you can go to another shop or elsewhere blah blah blah" all because we indicated that A HINT of interest in a cheaper alternative. Don't fall for the "i would give you the cheaper part, but i don't want to have that be an issue down the line...." That's just a sleaze bag sales pitch to get you to buy the most expensive part possible to get the job done. There is such thing as "factory" parts that are OEM or simply OE. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT necessary to get a "Genuine BMW" branded part. This guy made it seem like it was oh so dumb, oh so foolish to not get a genuine BMW part. In the car world, car heads don't give a crap whether a car has genuine bmw parts. IN FACT, SOMETIMES AFTERMARKET PARTS EXCEED OE OR OEM STANDARDS meaning THEY SURPASS PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY STANDARDS compared to the factory OE version that was installed when the car was new. This guy tried to talk to me like I was some type of utterly lost moron or clueless in general. Not sure if that's what he thinks of all his customers, but it sure seems to be the case on my visit. DOGSHIT. The moment it was expressed that we could bring in the necessary REAL OEM (NOT MADE IN CHINA) parts, even more rudeness and attitude. This review is prompted by my E39 which reminds me to write a review for Peter's Clinic every time engine purrs on the freeways. Here are the reasons: 1) Pricing-2 Men show Peter and his assistant. No swank reception area....means fewer overheads...read "reasonable prices." 2) Honesty- Without asking leaking replaced parts were shown to me. 3) Oil Change- My earlier Repair shops- did NOT use recommended oil, all synthetics are not alike. And there is whole research on Bimmerfest etc. forums you can read. I just felt this huge difference while driving. And Peter charged me only _____. So unless your dealer gives you a free oil change - get your oil change done here. 4) Peter did NOT push me for other unneeded work. No sales quota system here. That my friend gave to me ,and it had been parked for years and I was looking for someone to work on the vehicle to get it running back on the road again. When I called the Beamer clinic Peter Yates answered the phone. I had explain to him the car was given to me and has been parked for years, and I wanted him to inspect the car and give me his advice. Setup two different appointments and both times I was completely blown off. Trying to get service done for my 2013 X3 and I contacted Beemer Climic and was told I'd be able to come in next week, next week comes and I'm told he forgot he ever scheduled an appointment and he can book me for the following week, I wasn't too bothered at this point and agreed to the new appointment...day of appointment he's not answering the phone, my tow truck is at my home and I end up completely killing my battery attempting to put my car in neutral when it's having problems starting, a problem I'm sure a BMW mechanic could've help me solve before I made it extremely difficult to tow the car at all and impossible to do a transmission override because the battery died died to my inability do it on my own since the process varies with ever model and there's a lack of information on the internet on the subject. The conclusion of my experience resulted in a completely dead battery, and I still haven't heard from this guy. Very unprofessional. read more

Pete is superb at getting the greatest prices in town and offering exceptional service. I had an oil leak on the filter housing gasket on my 3 series which was just out of warranty. He was able to fix that, my belts, and also fix some rattling noises from the suspension at less than half of the dealership quotes. He was able to conduct the service within a day and even worked for an hour past his close time to get the car back to me the same day. Awesome! I went to the beemer clinic because my engine light was on. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman to explained to me very quickly that my problem was my thermostat. He called the Dealer to see if my car was under warranty and it was. Then he referred me to the dealer who gave me a loaner car and fixed my car by the next day. Ive serviced my 95 M3 here and not only did he do a stellar job on the actual repair, he took the time to replace all my "wrong" nuts, screws and bolts in my engine bay with OEM torx, from his own inventory no less at zero extra charge. Hes the kind of guy where if it isnt absolutely necessary hell yell you to wait on changing/fixing that particular issue. He also has very reasonable prices that trump the dealer by a long shot. I got the rear brakes done and they are working great now.
