I brought my 528I into Petes shop due to a valve cover leak. He replaced the cover supposedly and I was told it was a brand new from the dealer. While driving home I could smell burnt oil through the vents. I tried the air conditioner and heater and outside and still the same smell. I took it back to the Beemer clinic twice and he looked it over and said he couldnt find anything. I took it to Leo in Lake Elsinore and was told the valve cover was plugged. So I had a new one replace the one Pete installed. Pete charged me 1300 dollars for that service and basically threw up his hands after looking at it the second time and said dont know whats up with your car. His prices are damn near as much as the dealer and with that kind of practice I would never recommend him. Threw away 1300 plus dollars.... Never again. read more

Just got back from Beemer Clinic. Car was overheating and Pete checked it out. He fixed it within 2 hours. And the best part, I was still under warranty since it was due to the part failing so I didn't have to pay. Car runs great. But then again, I never really had problems with the BMW's that I have owned. Thanks again Dr. Pete! To "bro" James. Perhaps he asked for the VIN so he knew exactly what specs your vehicle had. You DO realize that by pulling up the VIN, the mechanic will know exactly the specs for your vehicle. Not ALL cars are the same. To Lance who states the reviews are not real- I am as real as I can get. Read my other reviews. Not all of my reviews are 5 stars. I have given some pretty bad reviews for subpar service. Your experience might not have been great, but just because your experience wasn't great doesn't mean all other experiences are invalid. The world doesn't evolve around you- Get off your high horse. Think of a mechanic like a doctor-if you can't figure out what is wrong with your car, you go to a professional that can find and fix the problem. Enter Doctor Pete. He finds solutions to your car's problems. Before my BMW, I had a Japanese car and went to Genuine Tech for maintenance. They charged a diagnose fee as well. However, the fee goes toward the repair anyway-so why is this is an issue? First of all I want to thank Peter personally for fixing my bmw; he deserves more than a 5 star Yelp review for the peace of mind he has given me! I had it with another mechanic for a few months and he wasn't able to solve my lean code, a few $1000 in and many trips to the shop with it not being fixed. I was at the end of my rope with my car when I contacted Peter in December. He was able to diagnose my problem within a few hours after I dropped it off (if it was the intake or a fuel problem). I took my car back to my old mechanic since my old mechanic already replaced my intake system (Peter recommended this was the best option to save me money). My mechanic had my bmw for 5 weeks and did nothing with it! I took it back over to Peter; Peter was calling me with updates every few days, what he had found, what he had replaced, giving me the option to pick how much money I wanted to spend, etc. I wanted my car fixed; I was so tired of taking it in and out of the old shop with the SES light popping up 20 miles later. I just picked up my bmw two days ago with a confirmed NO lean code (Peter drove it a good 200 miles after the work he had done on it) as well as getting it smogged for me! I'm so ecstatic that I can finally say my bmw is fixed!! This review is prompted by my E39 which reminds me to write a review for Peter's Clinic every time engine purrs on the freeways. Here are the reasons: 1) Pricing-2 Men show Peter and his assistant. No swank reception area....means fewer overheads...read "reasonable prices." 2) Honesty- Without asking leaking replaced parts were shown to me. 3) Oil Change- My earlier Repair shops- did NOT use recommended oil, all synthetics are not alike. And there is whole research on Bimmerfest etc. forums you can read. I just felt this huge difference while driving. And Peter charged me only _____. So unless your dealer gives you a free oil change - get your oil change done here. 4) Peter did NOT push me for other unneeded work. No sales quota system here. Must be a bunch of ignorant customers who take every recommendation this guy gives. He gives off 100% dealership salesman vibes. The moment there was even a slight minor indication that there was no need to go all out for such a basic repair, he gets up and heads to the front door to start lecturing and disrespectfully hinting at "yeah you can go to another shop or elsewhere blah blah blah" all because we indicated that A HINT of interest in a cheaper alternative. Don't fall for the "i would give you the cheaper part, but i don't want to have that be an issue down the line...." That's just a sleaze bag sales pitch to get you to buy the most expensive part possible to get the job done. There is such thing as "factory" parts that are OEM or simply OE. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT necessary to get a "Genuine BMW" branded part. This guy made it seem like it was oh so dumb, oh so foolish to not get a genuine BMW part. In the car world, car heads don't give a crap whether a car has genuine bmw parts. IN FACT, SOMETIMES AFTERMARKET PARTS EXCEED OE OR OEM STANDARDS meaning THEY SURPASS PERFORMANCE AND QUALITY STANDARDS compared to the factory OE version that was installed when the car was new. This guy tried to talk to me like I was some type of utterly lost moron or clueless in general. Not sure if that's what he thinks of all his customers, but it sure seems to be the case on my visit. The customer service, or complete lack there of when it was indicated that we knew what we needed and that we were aware of the cost of certain things and our options, BAM!!! , Rude attitude and completely trashy , super trashy and money hungry demeanor activated INSTANTLY. I am absolutely never taking my 5 bmws to this location, no matter what. Hell will freeze over before this place even changes my oil. I visited with a family member and idk if this guy thinks it's cool to talk to people like this, but ignoring the person standing next to your customer and telling them "it's your car you do what you want with it right" all because you want to SELL SELL SELL unnecessary ~$1,000 job is plain wrong and the way you dismiss completely valid points that people make is highly, highly unprofessional and not a way to do business with decent, respectable people as a courteous mechanic. I would have easily brought my 3-4 newer BMWs on a regular basis because I hate dealing with stealerships, but with the way this went, that's just not gonna happen because the vibes were the same all around. Don't assume all of your customers are naive gullible people who don't know anything about their cars. Literally it was just ridiculous. I highly suggest to ANYONE CONSIDERING this place to consider elsewhere first and to shop online for parts at websites like FCPEURO.com instead of having to deal with this guy. That website has LIFETIME WARRANTY, meaning you never pay for the same part twice for as long as you own the vehicle. Yes, REALLY. Seriously. Send back your old brakes and parts, etc, even OIL , and you will be fully refunded such that you never have to pay for the same part again ,with exception to shipping costs. Pro Tip: When your (potential) customers show up try not to sell them the most expensive parts and then get mad when they refute your bs scammy "diagnostic" talking about how the "only way I can help you out is with a factory replacement. DOGSHIT. The moment it was expressed that we could bring in the necessary REAL OEM (NOT MADE IN CHINA) parts, even more rudeness and attitude. Honestly, it was just plain unacceptable and unexpected the way we were treated, and wholeheartedly suggest that anyone refrain from taking your hard earned money here. The attitude they exhibited and the strategic reliance on condescension to pressure into a higher sale was just irrefutably garbage and felt unethical in my opinion. Definitely taking my business elsewhere from now on. Period. I literally prefer the dealership to this. And that's EXTREMELY HARD TO SAY. A few years ago I called Peter Yates the owner at beemer clinic here in Riverside California. I had advised him I was given a 1978 BMW 320i . That my friend gave to me ,and it had been parked for years and I was looking for someone to work on the vehicle to get it running back on the road again. When I called the Beamer clinic Peter Yates answered the phone. I had explain to him the car was given to me and has been parked for years, and I wanted him to inspect the car and give me his advice. Setup two different appointments and both times I was completely blown off. Trying to get service done for my 2013 X3 and I contacted Beemer Climic and was told I'd be able to come in next week, next week comes and I'm told he forgot he ever scheduled an appointment and he can book me for the following week, I wasn't too bothered at this point and agreed to the new appointment...day of appointment he's not answering the phone, my tow truck is at my home and I end up completely killing my battery attempting to put my car in neutral when it's having problems starting, a problem I'm sure a BMW mechanic could've help me solve before I made it extremely difficult to tow the car at all and impossible to do a transmission override because the battery died died to my inability do it on my own since the process varies with ever model and there's a lack of information on the internet on the subject. The conclusion of my experience resulted in a completely dead battery, and I still haven't heard from this guy. Very unprofessional. read more

Pete is superb at getting the greatest prices in town and offering exceptional service. I had an oil leak on the filter housing gasket on my 3 series which was just out of warranty. He was able to fix that, my belts, and also fix some rattling noises from the suspension at less than half of the dealership quotes. He was able to conduct the service within a day and even worked for an hour past his close time to get the car back to me the same day. Awesome! I went to the beemer clinic because my engine light was on. I was greeted by a friendly gentleman to explained to me very quickly that my problem was my thermostat. He called the Dealer to see if my car was under warranty and it was. Then he referred me to the dealer who gave me a loaner car and fixed my car by the next day. The Dealer told me that I was lucky that I ran into a good place that was honest. What a pleasant experience. I will be back to this location the next time I need my car fixed. read more

Absolutely phenomenal service from Pete. You are simply not going to find a more honest and straight forward mechanic anywhere. Ive serviced my 95 M3 here and not only did he do a stellar job on the actual repair, he took the time to replace all my "wrong" nuts, screws and bolts in my engine bay with OEM torx, from his own inventory no less at zero extra charge. Hes the kind of guy where if it isnt absolutely necessary hell yell you to wait on changing/fixing that particular issue. He also has very reasonable prices that trump the dealer by a long shot. I got the rear brakes done and they are working great now.
